  1. @Justcozz you are right. But I only have space for 5-6 more plants at the moment. I'll probably buy a pack of each that is currently in the shop and do full NAW run after I am done with my current White Chocolate Rain breeding project (White Russian x Chocolate Rain). NAW always delivering.
  2. After my last Jackhammer freebee grow I did a report on here with the monsters in 7.5L I am really looking forward to try another Jackhammer cross and push it to the limit under 600W LEDs. Any idea when we can get our hands on the first batch? Like Q3 / Q4 2019? I am tempted to do an Atomic Jam run in the meantime under the new setup. I am really impressed with the latest samsung led generation and would love to see how they perform under the better spectrum than I had before. But the Blue Hammer F3 is also so tempting, you are not making getting new gear from you easy for me guys.
  3. I'm not NAW Crew but I hope this is still welcome here. If not, let me know and I'll remove the post. Made some infused MCT Oil ( sous vide decarbed ) with some of the bio organic grown Jack Hammer x Bluehammer you might have seen in the Grow/Smokereport i put up. The color and purity is more impressive if you know that the MCT Oil used to infuse is color and tasteless so all the yellow and amber you see in there are cannabinoids and terpenes. This came out the Tcheck with 3,4mg THC/ml in 250ml oil from just 7 Grams of grinded bud used, so super potent stuff. I majorly use it as lubricant (girls love it) at foreplay because it takes 30 - 40 mins until it does its magic ( beware will get you high as fuck if you give oral ) and mix it with beeswax and essential oils as a topical to put it on my legs when they are sore and help me with back pain.

  5. Today was a special occasion, my best friend decided to ask his GF to marry him, and she said yes. They are a great couple and both sharing love for cannabis, so I took out some of the good stuff to congratulate. This was jarred on Sunday the 3th of August 2014. Tangerine Sky is the combination of a 9wk phenotype of a Colombian Gold dominant hybrid with an Angola Red x Meao Thai x Purple Thai male. Snow did a great job bringing a fast flowering Colombian Gold selection together with a few of the best South East Asian Thais. The mother I selected from the beans I got is leaning more to the African Angola Red phenotype that shows barely red shimmer on the stem and dark orange to red hairs. The goldish-green leaf color and golden tips are not nutrient burn but an anomaly unique to the Colombian Gold variants. I was glad to see that it lost most of its green but kept a few beautiful colors besides being covered in shiny white trichomes. I do burp the long-term storage / curing jars on a strict schedule so I can say the smell is the same as it was after about six weeks of curing. The smell did not improve any further from that point on. Nose into the jar says lovely smell with a strong grape and earthy note. I went over to my friend's house, and we sat outside watching the sunset while smoking a few nugs of this and having a lengthy BBQ. I stopped smoking tobacco a few years ago, but I rolled a few inside out like when we were younger for the old time's sake. I tremendously enjoy this strain despite if this is the real deal sixties, seventies Colombian Gold or not. It pleasantly touches all of your senses. Its looks are not outstanding, but if you say this is not a beautiful nug, then you are lying. It smells very nice, and the sweet and earthy grape smell transforms into thick clouds of a "hashy" smoke. Very smooth in the lungs and strong taste on the exhale. With over 100 Days of Flowering, I always have a small tent with four plants going. It yields miserably, but it has tremendous value to me because smoking / vaping it is like riding on a constant wave. It's a great strain for socializing and making good memories. We rolled about five joints during the evening and never got too high. This hits its ceiling after about 20 minutes and then stays at the same level with a pleasant sativa buzz that makes you talkative and happy but is neither racy or shoots you into space. Everything gets a bit more vibrant, the heat from the BBQ suddenly feels like a warm blanket and the Steak is extra tasty. I completely drifted off on this on another occasion where I spend like 40 minutes thinking about the potato salad I was eating and enjoying very much while trying to figure out what's the special ingredient that's making this so much better than the potato salad I make. It was purple potatoes and the pickled okra btw. And the people on that party pretty much enjoyed watching me sitting all by myself eating a small bowl of potato salad for fourty minutes, scratching my head and looking very serious. At my friends place the three of us had a few great talks about family and future and the past and then suddenly the sun was going up again, and I had to go home. Enjoyed another joint taking the scenic route home by foot as I am not driving when high. If I wanted to introduce someone to cannabis, this is probably the strain I'd do it with. For fans of the heavy kushes and the strong as fuck Haze variants, this might be a dull smoke tho. But for me, having what I think is a low THC strain with great taste and the effects i just described is a gift and not a curse being not as potent as "modern" breeding projects. I really need to catch some sleep now. Enjoy your smoke and give your plants some love. Your Growbro. P.S: Loving the Icolator Island Tornado Polder

  7. Hey guys, took a bit longer than expected but I had finally time to do the smoke report for the Jack Hammer x Blue Hammer. You can find it here https://www.opengrow.com/topic/52382-jack-hammer-x-blue-hammer-naw-seeds/ Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed growing and sampling the Jack Hammer x Blue Hammer.
  8. I recently had a Jack Hammer x Blue Hammer Freebee run that got chopped at the 18th of July 2017 after about 11 Weeks. I grew them bio organic in a square meter tent under 400W HPS. After harvesting and spending four days in brown paper bags they then went into jars to start the curing process. This morning I started sampling the different Phenos for the first time after a three and a half weeks cure. My preferred method of consuming is Vaporizing. This will be a lengthy smoke report so I suggest you get a coffee / tea and roll one. First of all I'd like to thank the NAW guys for providing the genetics that made this smoke report possible. The Jack Hammer x Blue Hammer is already a great "smoke" after just three weeks of curing and I really can't wait to see how it will be in six months. These are hands down the best Freebees I had in over twelve years of growing. First sample comes from the fastest flowering Pheno. Putting your nose into the jar you get immediately hit by a heavy fuel smell with a berry undertone. Pistils are dark in color and the nugs dense and shiny.Trichomes are mostly milky with about 20% amber. While Vaping the fuel smell does not convert into an unpleasant taste, ground up the berry smell comes into the foreground and also is the dominant taste in the thick white vape you get from vaping it. I dose with about 0.2 grams to get a feeling for new strains and because that's usually the single dosage I do for medical purpose. At that kind of dosage I got a nice and relaxing head high that reached its peak after about half an hour. No heaviness in the body just a good amount of relaxation in the shoulder and neck muscles. I was able to function perfectly fine and did laundry and dish washing. I am not doing a lot of partying anymore but this is definitely what I would bring to have a great time with good friends on a night out. Rating strains in numbers is always something i disliked so I'll not give it any XX / XX rating. This strains different phenotypes have so much to offer and differ so much that all I can say is Jack Hammer x Blue Hammer is a must grow if you enjoy a great Sativa Smoke with a broad variety of keeper phenos and I hope the NAW guys will sell this at some point so everyone can make their own experiences with it. Sample Number two. I call her the bitch. Because hell this girl wanted to get murdered by me so bad. First she ate twice the nutrients of her sisters and was completely fine, but then decided that she'd rather not get fat but all leafy and laugh at me by showing some signs of nutrient burn and yellow leafing all of a sudden. She was pure hell to harvest and manicure. But it was well worth it. She's very piney, like one of those tree shaped car refresheners piney. She's not the most beautiful but she packs a hell of a punch. After fifteen minutes onset I got a very "trippy" high. I went outside to sit on a park bench and enjoyed nature. Everything was a bit brighter and the wind felled very good on the skin. I do not meditate but I think this pheno is great to just lie down or sit somewhere and think about stuff and enjoy all the small details around you. The pine smell converts into very strong pine taste. So I am sure if you smoke this ppl around you will ask you about it. This also puts my girlfriend in a place far away as she was laying on the bed playing with a pink ball of yarn like a cat. When I came back she was still playing with it which made for some good laughter on both sides when she realized she was doing it for over an hour and forgot about the time. Having experiences like this you share with other ppl is one of the reasons I started smoking weed back in my youth. Good times, i was not expecting much after harvesting that pheno but got a very pleasant surprise. Next up is the Mutant. I have seriously no idea what happened there. This lady grew like a Indica dominant hybrid, which based on its lineage is something I have never seen before in some almost 100% sativa back crosses. Super dense nugs, nose into Jar says spicy, hint of mustard and honey. It reminds me a lot of the old school Skunk Afghani. Luckily i made a few clones so I'll probably try to make some seeds in the next run to see where this is going. Could be an interesting journey. Vaping it I felt really heavy full body relaxation. Not completely couch locked but it was simply too comfortable and warm to get up and do something else. Watched a movie on TV on it then just napped away. Woke up fresh and relaxed and still a bit high which faded after I had a coffee. The spicy sweet mustard is also what comes into the foreground taste wise vaping it. I'll keep this for when i need a good night of sleep or are sick this winter but this would not become my everyday smoke simply because it's too strong for me. Sample number four. Lots of Trichomes, very Sativa dominant. Nose into jar says ripe Bananas with a hint of pine. Very pleasant smell, very pleasant smoke. Ground up the ripe banana smell is dominant while vaping it mixes nicely with the pine taste. Not as trippy as the second sample but a lot stronger head high than sample one. Makes your thoughts race through your mind, had to go out for a run on this. I am sure most of you know this "Hyper focus" effect, where you smoke / vape and then you seem to get some kind of hawk eye vision and you can focus really well on one thing and see things super sharp but it's hard to focus on multiple things at the same time. I like it, its a bit less relaxing and more energetic than pheno one. This is good to work out on but less to relax so it will most likely sit for a while in the shelf and only get it out before I go to the gym / for a run. Girlfriend liked this a lot more than the other samples, that's why I don't like giving strains a number rating. What was a clear 10/10 for her was ok for me. I mean this is still a thousand times better than what you can get on the street and in most coffee shops but over the years I got a bit picky. Bonus picture because I really like the looks of this cured. Ok and last but not least. Sample number five. Very nice hybrid. Has the typical Amnesia Haze taste and smell. I think I don't need to describe that. If you ever had some of Somas Amnesia Haze this looks and smells the same. If not, grow some. It's well worth the time and money. It's a great strain and a long standing NL staple smoke. This is from a freaking freebee, keep that in mind. A Freebee.I am still sampling this right now and love it. Hmm so good. It's not as strong as I'd like it to be but that is because I had to go away for an emergency and cut them a few days early. This has a good amount of transparent trichomes and giving it a week or two extra would have made it probably as strong and tasty as my own Amnesia Haze Mother I have selected over the years. I am very well medicated now and hope you guys enjoyed your tea / coffee and reading this smoke report. Much love to my fellow Opengrowers. Your GrowBro.
  9. Hey MrG, the veg was 36 days from germinating the seeds to the first day of flowering. I use four 2x55W Neon with blue / white spectrum and 7600 lumens to veg clones and seed plants for the tents I am running. It's not the fastest way but it makes for some really short nodes and nice branching and you can get really close to the plants without burning them. I don't set a specific amount of days before I start flowering but until I am happy with the size / plant structure. Also I made a few pictures of the Jack Hammer & Blue Hammer harvest before I left. And the "Indica" Pheno And here is one from the plant that was basically a leafy jungle to trim through. Can't wait to get back home on Thursday and jar them. I also got two big zip lock bags full with popcorn buds and two with trim that went into the freezer, which will make some nice oil for topicals and edibles. I won't be able to make the awesome Blackberry oil Rhino did ( kinda jealous how gorgeous that turned out in the other thread ) but I am pretty sure I'll get some good medicinal properties from the Jack Hammer x Blue Hammer as well.
  10. Thanks MrG, sorry for the late reply. I just finished harvesting like an hour ago, with Sativas unfortunately you really notice at harvest if you meant it a bit too well with the N . Divine smell and great looking buds but two of the plants were pure hell to manicure if you are under time pressure. I only use overhead lighting. I have never experimented with additional light from the sides as I was happy with the measurements from the PAR meter with just the 400 Watts bulb and the reflective material of the tent. The tent is 6.5ft / 200cm height. The plants were between 145cm ( 4,7ft ) and 165cm ( 5.4ft ) plus the pot height of 20 cm (0.6ft). I'll do a lengthy grow report when I am back home with more pictures and smoke/vape report and link it here. I am relly tired but happy and hope that I come back to ready to jar plants in four days. I still can't believe these were freebees if I think about all the really bad stuff I grew as freebees from other breeders over the years.
  11. I appreciate the quick reply very much. Looks like I am getting the gloves and will start chopping. I'll do a lengthy report about the whole grow with more pictures and post a smoke report when I am back from the overseas trip. I've grown a lot in the past decade, you guys can be proud about yourselfs and don't have to shy away from any of the more prominent breeder names out there. If it vaporizes / smokes like it looks you definitely made me a NAW fan for life.
  12. @RhinoCBD @Poldergrower Thanks for the warm words guys. I do have a kind of emergency over here at the moment and would love to get some feedback from you. I originally planned to give them 12 weeks but it's Flowering Day 77 now and because of a family issue i might have to travel overseas like by tomorrow. I don't want to spam the thread with pictures so I am just linking to the Album, the latest 9 pictures are from today (FD77). Overall I am very happy so far, Trichomes are mostly cloudy with a bit of amber in the top colas. The thing is, besides being my personal medication I also usually use a part of my harvest to give away to people I know who can't afford cannabis or growing themselves so I kinda try to get the maximum out of the plants potential as I need to balance my own and other patients needs with the harvests i get. You guys know the plants best, if you can find a few minutes of your time and maybe have a look, maybe you can tell me if this is this the final structure I am looking for or if I am missing out on a lot if I cut them now instead of in like a week. Especially with Sativas I had some that got a real boost in the last week before harvest. I also keep my growop to myself so I don't have friends or family that could take care of them while I am gone. I might not have any other choice than to cut them today but it would make me feel a bit less sad if you said I am not losing out on much cutting them now. Thanks for your time. GB
  13. @barney that Lindy looks delicious Jack Hammer & Blue Hammer FD 68
  14. I'm putting the full report up in the Grow Journals section once they are done but my Jack Hammer X Blue Hammer Freebees looking better by each day now and I thought I'll share a picture with you guys as teaser. They are grown fully Bio on soil in my freebee / test tent under 400W HPS in 2 Gallon (7L) Pots. I usually grow most genetics in 3 Gallon (11L) Pots but with Sativas and genetics I don't know yet I am extra careful as the tent only has 6.5ft (2m) height, with my normal pots these ladies would have gone through the roof. You can't see the beast on the right side in this picture but I had to bend her down because she tried to go through the roof. I am not doing pictures with objects because of laziness to put on gloves and fingerprints / tattoos showing but if you want to know what size they are, the smaller one in the middle is about 1.65m from the ground and the taller ones around 1.85m from the ground. The taller ones are managing the bit of heat stress from being 20cm away from the light quite well. Not optimal but you work with what you have i guess. From ten seeds I got 8 ladies, the one in the bottom right is kinda strange as it completely grew like an Indica and is constantly fighting her taller sisters for a bit of light. I think they will go around 84 days, so 12 weeks. I already had to support them tying them up a bit ( I use anti bacterial dental floss as I had really good experiences with it and zero mold). I need to keep an eye on the smaller one, you can find a better picture of her here from 6 days ago as she seems to finish a bit faster than the others. With most freebees I got from other breeders I had terrible results in the past as I had the feeling their freebee genetics were sub par and/or not very stable and therefore bought two extra tents to run freebees and their clones alongside each other until I decide if there is a keeper and they go to the mother room or to a selection grow from the cuttings. But with NAW freebees I am super happy so far, very healthy looking plants from the start and explosive growth in the first weeks of flowering, now they are filling up nicely as you can see. I really like the Trident shaped one. I'll probably get the Polar Bear next as the Green Manalishi x Hashplant looks like something interesting. Feedback and recommendations are always welcome. Have a great day. GB
