  1. I have tried a flush, adding a fan during day (in case this is leaf burn from lamp), reducing the nuts by 50%, but the leaf yellowing continues to spread. The ph swings are greater than I'm used to (using same nuts but different strains) so I'm doing a second flush today and checking ph at least several times a day. I use mixture of Advanced Nutrients products for hydro as prescribed by BCNorthern Lights, the manufacturer of the cabinet system. I'm slowly losing this crop as the plants are beginning to look denuded. Any more ideas? I'm desperate!
  2. I do this religiously - even letting it sit for longer. Thanks.
  3. I've now tried a two day flush, a fan blowing across tops, and reducing the amount of nuts. BUT - the problem continues, the yellowing of leaves spreading. The ph seems very unstable. Yesterday, after completing the flush and adding a new nut solution, the ph was 5.9. Several hours later is had risen to 6.4. I got it back down to 5.9 but today it popped up to 8! I have no idea what's causing the ph to rise so quickly. Before starting current crop I made sure no salts remained in tub. I'm using Advanced Nutrient products which are advertised as self-regulating re ph. Any ideas?
  4. Strain is 'Killing Fields' Hydro 28 days into flower Using 'scrog' method and 'Advanced Nutrients' 400w. hps Leaves started yellowing a week ago - tops only, along edges, continuing to spread on multiple plants. Have been having trouble keeping ph on track. It changes overnight from 6 to 4.7 or will go the other way just as far. I started a water flush last night with small amount hydrogen peroxide on chance I may have a lock-out. Any ideas on what's causing? thanks! http://www.flickr.com/photos/62786712@N03/?saved=1
  5. thanks for warm welcome and feedback! I've got the tank filled with a 10% nut solution and one plant has already shown root growth out of 3 inch deep container down towards the water. Only concern is how short plants are, even though leaf structure is filling out. My experience with other strains is more height at this point. Again, thanks - and i'll repost elsewhere in forum.
  6. Hi - I'm a relatively new grower and am becoming convinced my thumb will never turn green! Am growing in a BCNorthern Lights cabinet (hydro) here in Brooklyn. First time with Sannie seeds - Killing Fields feminized. Have had trouble in past with growing from seed (this is my 4th attempt) and have experienced numerous crisis moments! First time out I was able to get some clones and had no trouble at all, but since then it's been a struggle with seeds and have yet to get to the finish line with a crop I feel good about. Right now, I'm two weeks in from germination and my 3 remaining seedlings are about 2" in height and looking good. This time I'm trying to take a conservative approach with water and nuts, hopefully not over-doing anything. the big question that's nagging at me right now: Given Sannie's instruction for a very short veg (1-2 weeks), does veg period start at seedling stage? In past I've always gone too long in veg, but don't want to make mistake in other direction! I've read somewhere that seedlings should be given 2-4 weeks, so what's the rule for when veg starts with KF seeds? I don't know anyone else who grows, so I rely totally on the boards for advice and help. I now wish I hadn't started with hydro but I'm trying my best and keeping fingers crossed! thanks!

I guess this topic area isn't right place to be asking questions right off, so apologies in advance. thanks!
