  1. The 5 x 5 tent is lonely, so I had to start another grow. A couple of Motherlode fem seeds, a couple of Cinnamon Rollz fem seeds, a few of Dynasty's Supa Durban seeds (regulars), along with clones of Scarlet Begonias, Peyote Pancake and maybe Dark Hollow (we'll see how many seeds pop and are girls before DH gets back in there). Motherlode is, of course, available at Sannie's. Supa Durban SHOULD be available at Sannie's. I saw it on another seed seller's site and grabbed it. Cinnamon Rollz is a freebie given to me by another seed bank, from a breeder called LIT, for Lost in Translation. It is Pancakes x Runtz. I know nothing about the breeder or Pancakes, but Runtz seems to be a fad in the US market now. Maybe not to the extent of GSC, but every dispensary seems to have Runtz or Runtz crosses on their menus. All seeds looked healthy when I began their 24 hour soak, though a couple of the seeds in the Cinnamon Rollz look like they're immature and won't pop. If they weren't freebies, I'd be pissed: The birds might like them. The clones going in: Scarlet Begonias was the star of my recently completed grow — High flying sativa dom without danger of newbies having paranoid breaks from reality. Whenever I do a hit, it cuts through whatever buzz I've got — even when doing edibles. I can't say that would be true for med patients who use a massive amount of edible products. Peyote Pancake was from Sannie's, a few years ago, but the breeder never restocked. A good, powerful, no-mind-spark/cerebral activity indica dom. Great for sleeping purposes for me, but a friend of mine likes it during the day. Dark Hollow is maybe a 60% indica dom, but has significant mind-spark/cerebral activity along with a strong body effect. I like it, though I can't say I will be keeping it forever. Maybe for crosses when I start crossing LT F3 to likely candidates. I seem to prefer three kinds of weed buzzes: 1. Powerful sativa doms with edgy, racy aspects. 2. Powerful sativa doms WITHOUT edgy, racy aspects, that are major mood elevators (Scarlet Begonias, for example!) 3. Knock-out indicas. Dark Hollow doesn't fit. I may have to develop a liking for it. Lemon Sunrise is not appearing this grow. I'm thinking the Supa Durban might satisfy my edgy, racy sativa dom needs. I have a jar full curing, at this moment. I find I no longer go to my go-to sativa, since Scarlet Begonias came along. This lineup may change, depending on when clones root, seeds sprout and numbers of females in the Supa Durban seeds.
  2. I need to lay in some supplies before rolling the dice on another seed run. Peyote Pancake is my go-to lights out strain, Lemon Sunrise is my go-to lights on strain, and Golden Goat is wonderful. This was the scene back in May, after they came out of the cloner and went into pots. They were looking rough, and were forced to slum it by sharing the tent with tomatoes, peppers and celery seedlings: The Lemon Sunrise are the four on the left, 4 Peyote Pancakes just to the right of them and the rest are clones from the three golden goats. Here they are on the last day of 18/6. I flipped them on June 18: The Golden Goats were whittled down to 4 plants — two of the longer-flowering pheno that doesn't give me micronutrient/calcium problems, and one each of the troublesome ones. The most troublesome is the light colored one near the center of the tent, but to the right. The Lemon sunrise are quite obvious, having pre-emptive stakes. She was in flower and now all the clones are revegging. The Peyote Pancakes are the pretty little wide-leaved plants, very uniform (mostly in the middle-left row, one in the front of the middle-right row). The rest are GGs. And here they are, two weeks after flip: Golden Goats and Peyote Pancakes played a little musical chairs. The big stretchers — the Lemon Sunrise — haven't quite doubled in height yet, and seem to be slowing way down. The Peyote Pancakes didn't seem to stretch at all. The GGs only stretched slightly. Some are on booster seats, at this point, and will probably remain that way. These HLG LEDs really seem to reduce stretch. And it's at about 50 or 60% power, to keep it from baking these gals. And the two-week-old buds: Peyoted Pancake: Lemon Sunrise: Two phenos of GG are behind these. The short-flowering pheno is at about the same stage. It will be great to have all stellar weed when I harvest, but not having the surprises of a seed run hurts. I need to add that extra circuit and put up another tent.
  3. After my last grow i realized I needed: 1. to do a lot more work on my grow area, and 2. some of that shit meant persons of unknown trustworthiness would be in my grow area. So I had to tear down. The work is now done (I have a water supply on the same floor as my grow, among other things) and it's long overdue for me to get my ass in gear! Everything I'm growing this time around was either purchased at Sannies Seeds, could be purchased at Sannies Seeds, or I got through a friend here on Open Grow. We have: Pineapple Fields - I popped 5 of a 10 pack years ago, and really enjoyed the grow experience. Since then, another grower here on OG gave me the 5 seeds he had left from a pack he had partially grown out. All 10 are going to be sprouted, and maybe I'll get that Roadkill Skunk pheno I had heard so much about. Peyote Pancake - Available at Sannie's. The only thing I know about it is what I read on the shop site, and what I read here. I'll sprout 5 this time around. Blueberry Quintessa - Also available at Sannie's. Again, the only thing I know is what I read on the seed shop site and right here. My wife and I have developed a taste for 50/50 CBD/THC edibles, and this will be my first attempt at a CBD plant of any kind. I'll sprout another 5 of these. Lemon Bubba - An @santerocreation with some promising genetics. His "sweet spot" was one of my favorites of my last grow. While I didn't keep any cuts from them, they were enjoyable enough that I'll continue popping Santero seeds for a while. Lemon Thai F3 - This is an @smilestylecreation, keeping the old Fusion Seeds genetics alive. I've wanted to sprout this for years now. 5 will be sprouted. Miss U Jack - This was a freebie @ProfessorP created, distributed by Sannie's Shop. It's Miss Universe #10 x a Jack Herrer pheno from the garden of Jack Herrer, himself! It's another I've had for years. They're finally getting into the lineup. It will be an organic soil grow. I'm ready to start Octopots, but in February I'll be shipping off for a couple of weeks on business. My wife will have a much easier time just watering than messing with pH and TDS meters. Besides, I want to have some keepers to put in those Octos. No need to have a shitload of some mediocre pheno. More as things develop...
