Welcome to my new thread. After 18 months of concentrating mainly on Phuuu's IPA it is time to move on to other adventures. I have been accumulating seeds much faster than I have been growing them so my goal for the foreseeable future is to grow an many of them as I can. Something special may come along and I'll get sidetracked for a bit but the plan is to make use of the space I have to explore my seed stash starting with the following. I've been jonesin' for some more NAW stuff so I have 3 Head Candy (Killaqueen x Blue Hammer) as well as 2 Green Ale (Green Manalishi x Phuuu's IPA) Fem's. Along with those I have 3 Sour Mango x Golden Diesel sprouts, thanks to StankDank30 Here'a a look at the youngsters last week. And, here they are today They just got up-potted to #2 pots yesterday. The SM x GD really droop when watered, they have really wide leaf blades as well. The Head Candy and SM x GD sprouts are all pretty consistent in appearance. The 2 Green Ale sprouts showed some difference early but are looking more alike now. I'm hoping for 3 females out of these two crosses to go along with the 2 Green Ale fem's. If I am not so fortunate I'm gonna start some Black Afghani to fill in. Looking forward to exploring all the wonderful genetics I've been able to gather. Hope you'll come along and see what we find...

Hello OpenGrow! This post has been a long time in coming, its my first post... it could be a good one!(haha!); I have been a lurker here for a couple of years now and finally feel confident enough to begin posting. I have read through just about every post and have been there with everyone these last couple of years as a shadow, so I am excited to share my grows with all of the readers and members of OpenGrow. There are so many members that I would like to thank that i know there are many i would forget...so..just thanks to Sannie and the team of moderators that keep this site clean! Biodynamic Organic gardening describes what I am doing although I would nerdily call it Anthroposophic Horticulture. What does that mean? It means that I look at the stars a lot and think about how they are connected to what goes on in my garden. Biodynamics allows one the freedom to observe the causal relationship in all things... I grow in a no till/next container environment. My soil is set up to receive and utilize the subtle influences from the cosmos in the most beneficial way. My job is to prepare the grow environment and intent so that creation and entropy can play itself out in my small microcosm. After growing inside for two years I am beginning to see what it takes to carry out gardening indoors. Yes, I use a calendar with Astronomical events linked with the different influences for the plants....and I follow that calendar for pretty much everything. stellanatura.com My (Sunlight): 4'x5' veg/flower room 400 watt mag HPS 4'X4' Flower Room 600 watt mag HPS 4'x3' veg/seed/clone area 4't8's My Dirt: (basically) Here's where things start to get fun.... CJGM in the middle---CJGMx huckleberry kush crosses on either side 4x4 Flower Room at the moment 4x5 Flower/Veg room at the moment on 12/12 Seedling Area CJGM Finally watering and Nutes..... Water, no nutes! Sometimes I make kelp tea or add coconut or malted barley but very rarely like maybe once a run. I spray once or twice a week when the lights are off--For all of you out there battling mites or any pest, you are better just controlling your critters than trying to eradicate. Integrated Pest Management Murphy's oil soap Canola Oil Potassium Silicate Magnesium Sulfate Natural (Pyrethrin) if needed My path to sannies and approach to growing in general is a little different than most. My first love is gardening and horticulture. In 2001 I read a book called "The Enlivened Rock Powders" by Dr. Harvey Lisle published by Acres USA. That started me on a quest to learn about horticulture and biodynamics. The second most influential book for me has been "Culture and Horticulture" by Dr. Wolf Storl That book is better than any cannabis bible.... I am starting this log to help journal my grows for future reference, please feel free to ask any questions! Thanks for reading, I hope to get to know everyone! I will write more about what I have learned in the coming posts. Light One

Sannies' Jack, Killing Fields + Jack Candy - Tropical Guerilla Grow Just did a bean drop for the official Maria tropical guerilla grow in my new location. The "tester" run was here, but I haven't even checked on them since putting them out... Have been eyeing up Sannies' seeds for a long time. Love the work he has done with the Jack Herer, creating his own F9 IBL Jacks!!! And then a few other Jack crosses, like the Killing Fields. Plus got Jack Candy (NAW) for freebies. 3 X Sannies Jack F9 (photo, reg) -- from Sannies' Seeds 2 X Killing Fields F8 (?) (photo, fem) -- from Sannies' Seeds 5 X Jack Candy (freebies, photo, reg) -- from NAW (through Sannies') Decided to drop 10 beans in total, prob going into 5 pots (2 beans / pot). Leaving me with 7 Jack, 3 KF for future grows. They're in little sponge pots, which Sannie recommends and I got sent with order. Beans are: JC -- JC -- JC -- JC --- JC -- SJ -- SJ -- SJ -- KF --- KF -- In they go! Soaking in a little Bacto for healthy start to life. Have saved a little more Bacto for transplanting. Can check out some of Sannies' strains in his photo gallery here. I'm not going to end up with anything like that in this wild guerilla grow, but nice inspiration! Sannies Jack (reg, photo) is Sannies' F9 IBL from Sensi Jack Herer. Hasn't been crossed with anything else. So can be considered inbred line by now. Goes for about 11-13 weeks, supposed to be much more stable than Sensi Jack. Sannie seems to have bred it for single stem SoG or topped ScroG growing, especially at 12/12 from seed, or maybe just 1 week of 18/6. That's a reason why I think it should be good for my tropical climate at about 12/12 to 11/13 right through the grow. Killing Fields (fem, photo) is up to about F8 by now, I think, so almost IBL. Originally a cross between The One and Sannies' Jack. The One is itself Blueberry Sativa X (Killa Queen X NYCD), so has a lot of the Jack also in the Killa Queen from C99. The Blueberry gives the purple pheno, I guess. If you search on Open Grow forum, there is an amazing thread from the breeder on his selection and breeding process. Excellent learning material for any wannabe pollen chuckers like myself, haha. Jack Candy (reg, photo) are freebies only, seem to be a cross that hasn't made it to the shop, just freebies. Is Jack Hammer X Head Candy. Jack Hammer is Jack X Amnesia Haze, and Head Candy is Killa Queen X Blue Hammer. NAW breeder Poldergrower says it'll run about 11-12 weeks, sativa dominant pheno, pineapple flavor (maybe from the Jack?) Assuming that these plants can make it through to harvest, or at least a few of them, should be able to get some females, and maybe a male, to make some crosses. There's enough Jack Herer in all three strains to get a nice Jack cross somewhere in there. Let's see. Now... have a shopping list: Cups for seedling growth. Will do "insta-planters". Soil mix, local stuff, a couple of bags. Some kind of pots or bags, maybe just 5 pots / bags @ 5-10 L each will be ok. Nappies -- to rip out some polyacrylate crystals for water retention. If possible, but not urgent: Some kind of bloom fert / nutes. No idea what at this point... Love ya all! MJS

The images below are of a Jackberry cross with Herebei seeding from a grow of those strains SEVERAL YEARS AGO! I wanted some seed to practice with as I learned and, despite those seeds sitting in a medicine bottle for at least 3 years- you can see they are still very viable and STRONG! Thank you SANNIE! I double-seeded a 72-cell starter kit in late March and had 100% germination. I selected 24 from those and set out in my garden the beginning of April. Despite a freeze and very wet weather, and having to cull the males, I have 20 females in the garden now with these pictures taken at 11 weeks of vegetative growth. Several are well over 40" tall with several showing very strong BLUEBERRY phenotype that are beautiful and smell delicious! One of the images below I believe to be a male, but giving it some time because it began growing dark PURPLE and just continued that way, while the others (females) took longer to develop that way. If it's a male, is there any reason for keeping it to save the genetics? Or should I just settle for the females I have? If it's worth keeping, what should I do? Never anticipated this situation, but the damn thing is captivating to me with its color! While it isn't nearly as pretty as the two Blueberry females pictured with it, look at that color man! As I recall, I got roughly 2 ounces of dried flower from the grow that produced the seeds for this grow and the plants only reached about 3' high. These are already taller at 11 weeks than those! Any ideas what kind of yield I can expect from these that I don't expect to harvest until October or November (7 to 8 months of total growth)??? Thanks to everyone for helping me get this far. Outdoor growing seems to work much better for me than trying indoor grows- but I'll be taking clones of these soon and giving cloning a first attempt with my Ez-Cloner! Any recommendations on when would be the best time to take cuttings from these young ladies that are just 11 weeks? Peace!

Ayo. Seems like the this website and forums got the internet on steroids treatment (thanks sannie, absolutely killed the website, if I didnt know so much I'd tell you you were lying to me you were a breeder and not a web designer) It's been awhile so I'll leave out most of my missing life link. New new and gone old old. Continuously stabilizing my life, living now with a girlie whose almost if not more batshit crazy then I am. Bout to take a big dive in this plant, starting my breeding project, started reading/researching extracts and cooking which I really want to get into next.. bout to build a new grow room for my breeding chamber that I'll post and prolly see if any of the vets got some advice on my blueprint. For now let's have some pics do some talking for my plans and we'll slowly add some history flashbacks. This is just what went done, stay tuned. Mouse

I am looking at getting some seeds and have narrowed my choices down to these three varieties: Madberry (Sannie's) 8 - 9 weeks Chocolate Rain (Eskobar) 9 - 10 weeks Mad Scientist (Breeders Choice) 8 - 9 weeks My main criteria is a feminized seed and a reasonable flowering time. And also in-stock. I am sure some varieties are worth 14 weeks. But I have no need to do something like that in the next couple of years. I would like to hear from the community. Please share your experiences with these varieties. Madberry sounds good, but i have no idea what to expect in terms of high. Chocolate Rain sounds the most intriguing. I love fantastic tastes and smells and this one reads like it is special. Mad Scientist is a cross between Herijuana and White Widow. I have never tried either variety, but they are preceded by their reputations. Since these varieties are from three different breeders, i didn't want to place the conversation in a specific breeder's forum. So i put it in smoke reports instead. Please. Help me make up my mind.

Yo yo yo yo yo yo. Been forever and a day, and some. Shit so much has happened, excuse me if i start rambling, I'm hella sick, can't smoke the herb (cause my lungs feel like shit, been sick for almost a week now), and high on nyquil (hopefully I won't pass out at the keyboard). My last grow journal ended with spidermites, I remember when I found out I was up all night, spending close to 20 hours straight making home remedys, cloth vacuuming....jesus what a fucking mess. On the bright side I finally got rid of them and got like an oz of smokable herb and some medibles. The andromonia was very....stony, the green crack was good but I don't remember much of what it was like lol, Goodbye smoke report. The spidermites were just the start tho. AFter that I flipped 8 beautiful flowers, including the closest thing to an "elite" clone I've ever got (a very special sugar punch). But I fucked up, got a leak and lost everything the week before flushing...........then when i went to flip the next 8 I realized I had root aphids. Culled just about everything except for a few young clones I treated. cleaned the shit out of everything, set up some anti bug shit on the perimeter of the house, and got super religious with cleaniness. after the disaster tho I found myself finding less time in the grow room and giving them less attention. Next flip I got a harvest, but it wasn't as big as it could have been I ended up with a chocolate cheese and sugar punch. got like 1.5oz from the Choco cheese and like half a zip from the sugar punch. The sugar punch came out better but I think thats partly cause I ran nutes too high for teh CC to be happy. But fuck it, everything else in life started going good, I finished my yoga teacher training, started teaching, got a badass girlfriend, was doing super good in school, started spending more and more time making beats and then.....it all collapsed. I fucked up one morning and had the worst break up ever, got super depressed, stopped teaching, failed 3 classes in a row, and got fired at one of my jobs for being a depressed mess. Things are a little better now but the bad experience still haunts me all the fucking time, I actually quit smoking completely when I was with her, now I smoke more than fucking ever, which isnt that bad of a thing (better than the first week where I just drank myself stupid, got hella sick, then did a bunch of drugs). I'm really trying to reconnect to my grow though and share it in hopes of making things better, or at least keeping my mind of all the depresing shit that happened lately. RIght now I'm sttruggling, I make just 800 a month with my new job, and 575 goes to rent and utilities. I also have a mad weed habit so I NEED this to be successful to survive right now. Back to the plant, they have so much to teach and offer. Everytime I go in the room I immediately gain a sense of serenity and calmness, I love my ladies, they are so understanding, non judgemental, forgiving, and beautiful. I've been spending alot more time there lately, maybe an escape from all my crazy thoughts, maybe to make them thrive to the best they can be, probably a bit of both. But fuck it, without further ado lets see some pics. Chocolate cheese (thx E$co) right before flush Choco Cheese Early flower Sugar Punch (straight fire, wish I trained better for bigger yield though) This is the closest shit I've ever seen to an elite clone, the pic doesnt do this justice, the crystal coverage was fucking insane, I see more crystals on the fucking fan leaves than I see most buds, straight ridic. Unfortuantely root aphids got the best of the clones I was saving (yeah I had to let the go /cry) Chocolate cheese after harvest, My tastes are for shit but I can definitely taste the chocolate on the exhale, just the way you always wished those "choclate kush" blunt wraps would taste like (I think they were made by kingpin). Really love the high, slight in the body, but energizes the mind, made me feel real calm but also focused. When I mixed in the sugar punch in a blunt tho halfway though and I'd fine myself stilll there 5-10min later just thinking bout shit. Chocho cheese in late flower annd thats it for now. Stay tuned hopefully I'll find some time tomorrow to post pics of what I just harvested and what I got going on now (7 heallthy plants and 1 hole in my set up that seems to be a bottomless trap (i'm guessing one of the sprayers got clogged) cause I just lost 2 plants in there, one an irreplaceable gas mask (my own stupidity for forgetting to clone it before flipping it )

Hi, I'm a noob. And I just did what I shouldn't have done. My sannies order came today, couldn't resist.... I was a little surprised to see sugar punch instead of herijuana (since herijuana was on the list not sugar punch when I ordered lmao) and was hoping for the katsu kush x Sannies jack (especially since I havn't seen any grow reports of it yes so wanted to be that bad ass mutha fucka who contributed to Sannies testing (and grabbed some exclusive dank why at it). Although now I think I'm glad I got the sugar punch (since its a strain I've been drooling over for awhile now) and the Chocolate Cheese (now I have it all, a hybrid, an indica in my garden, and a strain from the Mr. Legendary E$kobar I keep hearing so much shit about. Cheeseberry Haze looks more appealing to me (remember I love hazes) but often times in life I find myself loving what I initially thought I wouldn't be into (hi Vladimir!). Anyways time to check this E$ko guy out (well not yet, but soon......). I popped 4 more seeds, 2 Shackzillas, 2 Killing Fields. Okay lets rewind this back a little. But before that I'd like to give a special thanks to Stinkbud, Letdown Shifty, and all the other Stinkbuddies at rollitup who have walked me very patiently and wisely through the steps. Yall made this possible, may the rest of your days be blessed. It all started with some seeds, clones, power outages (one lasted 5 days where I would barely slept spraying my plants every 5-30 min), and a noob. By noob I mean someone who continuously tripped over timer plugs, forgetting to replug timers, ph of 8+, and alot of dead plants (dead plants everywhere, I'm sorry to all you lovely ladies I fucked). A few months here I am, with 2 lone survivors (you bad ass mother fuckers you). One is a freebie I got from attitude, DNA's Andromonia and a green crack I got from my local dispensary (thank you to the cute girl who recommended it to me). Both of which went dormant during flowering cause my room was at about 40-50 degrees (lol......) Finally got that taken care of and now things are almost in full flow, except I'm now in another dilemma brought on by my noobness. Maybe you guys can help me sort through this mess. I have 2 reses in a 5x10x6 grow tent, one for longer sativa flowering strains (hazes are my favorite), one for indicas and hybrids. 1 side has a 1000w HPS, the other a 600w HPS and a 320 Lumigro LED. I put in 4 plants into flower, hoping 4 of the other 5 I was vegging would be ready at the same time. False. 4 grew hella fast, 4 slow (2 weeks into flower of first 4, other 4 still not ready, (which really sucks cause I'm out of my time frame to have them both harvest round same time), and 1 hellllla slow. We use the word hella alot out here in WA..... Andromia looks about halfway done, green crack has barely started flower. This leaves me too long a period to keep veggin these 4, and too short to throw them in the other res with the other 4. Right now I'm planning on moving green crack to other res right before I start flushing, harvest andromia, and use that to flower upcoming plants. Shits a mess though. To make it worse I have to decide what to do with these sativas of sannies I just popped, which brings me to my other problem. Besides my new seeds from sannies, I have no other long flower types, which means it looks like I'll be working with another half rez......(prays to the clone provider gods) Shits gonna be a challenge for sure Anyways lets get on with some pictures and sort this shit out as time goes on. Clones are under 250 CFL Veg unit is 8 fixture T5s (50ish something I think? idk T5 units are weird). I'm using basically advanced botinacare formula. The Andromia Res 2 canopy ~week 2 I'll post more pictures later. Also feel free to comment or w/e.

So here's the deal folks. I'm trying to start this thread but my router is out, cable company says I can pick one up but my work schedule says It'll be friday before I have time. So I need a favor. Put up a ton of pics in my gallery under the winter run 2014 title. Descriptions of each pic. If anybody has the time to toss them up it'd be cool. If not, fuck it, I'll wait until I get a router. Grow is 3 weeks into flower today, the sinister seeds stuff is from seed, the others were males. The seed plants were 2 weeks or so from germ only so they're behind. I'm figuring I'll let the other three run long and end up harvesting those 2 a little early. A drawback of everything coming down at once. My old core and coil took a shit 1 1/2 weeks in so I went from the 400 cmh to the 600 solistek running at 630 on overdrive, vert barebulb. 2 gallon smartpots in a mix of coco and rice hulls. Fed canna A&B, cannazyme, and calmag in RO PH about 6.0-6.2. Pretty damn simple. I'm blown away by the difference in temps going barebulb and the massive growth I'm getting. Obviously adding a few hundred watts more helped. It also means I can keep the heat off in my apartment this winter. If I grow enough to last before it gets warm, I may just dial it down to 400 for summer to keep the AC use a bit lower or even just shut down. Shutting down isn't real likely. Thanks again to Indican for making alot of this grow possible. He's sent some fine stuff my way, convinced me of the greatness of coco and canna and now got me to go bare with the solistek. You're welcome to anything in my jars any day my friend.

So, as the title says, does some of you have experiences with the strains available throw Sannie's shop in a equatorial or tropical climate and if so did you had any success with them, or did you had problems suchs as bud rot. I already figured out a list of things I wanna try but it would be nice to have some feedback especially from people living in such climate for a long time. I have grown indoor and outdoor but in europe, i can't make them bloom indoor because of the lack of material available and also that i don't really have much walls. Plus the sun is free and growing outdoor just seem more natural. I am also considering some techniques, the main one being constructing a kind of greenhouse (more like just a transparent roof in fact) to protect the plants from the rain which I believe is the main reason why bud do rot, rain will wet all the buds and the high relative humidity (never less than 80% and usually it's more between 90%and 100%) make it very hard for the bud to dry especially inside. I am also working on a way to dry out the air. If you have any experiences or thoughts concerning that please share. Thanks in advance Amhazed

High guys, I am new here so hopefully I don't mess this up. Also pleased to meet you! Currently Vegging with 400w MH soon to change it to 400w HPS and then 600w HPS for flower. Veg time will be long at about 8 weeks. Hericules Top left Hericules, Top centre BLZ, Top right Lemon Amnesia, Bottom left and center Super Lemon Haze, Bottom right, Lemon Amnesia This is what I use for now, will go organic next time round. SLH okay looking roots. Just a quick pic of my last harvest of a Northern Lights x AK...... PURPLE! Poorly plant. Please help! As you can see I have a problem with lower leaves going yellow and rust spots on two plants. I thought maybe this was a Calcium or Magnesium deficiency as my water is very soft here, 46mg/L of calcium carbonate according to my water company which means I am below the 'very soft' scale. What do you guys think could be causing this?
