  1. Bigger than what I'm used to, for sure. Dealt with so many leaks that I should be made co-owner of Wikileaks. But finally, it's underway, and thriving. In a nutshell: Flower room: 5 rows of 4 x 1000w Gavita de Each row is about 7.2m long and 1.6m wide. Each row has 8 pipes - 100mm internal diameter - parallel to the width, with 3 possible plant sites per pipe. Each row of 8 pipes is fed by a single 75w submersible pump in a 200 litre reservoir. Each 200 litre reservoir is automatically maintained at required water level with individual float valves. They are connected to a common 500L overhead tank. The 500L tank also contains a float valve, and is connected to a 1000L tank on the roof of the building. 15cm x 15cm square scrog nets are stretched at 2 feet and 3 feet above each row. I had to start from seeds for a lot of shitty reasons. So we've got 1 row of Dinafem Original Amnesia, 1 row of Dinafem Critical Jack, 1 row of Dinafem Critical +, 2 rows of Kolossus. There's a blue cheese (dinafem), sweet amnesia (sweet seeds) in there somewhere as well. Then we've got the veg room: Here I've got about 10 moby dick auto, 10 moby dick xxl auto, and a few small autos by sweet seeds, collectively under 2 x 1000w gavita de. These got off to a really rocky start. I don't have high expectations, but they're pretty vigourous even so. There's an undercurrent setup on the side ready to go, waiting for autoflower seeds that are on the way. It can accommodate 15 plants under another 2 x 1000w de. After this round, when I've decided on my keepers from this lot, I'll strip the undercurrent system down into 2 parts. 1 for mother plants and 1 for autoflowers. I've got smaller crates in 2 racks that can accommodate up to 130 seedlings or clones. It's got about 60 seedlings in a 4x4 area under 240w of normal Philips t5 led. There's another 2.67m x 6.67m room which will be used in part for drying/pressing/etc., as well as for genetic experiments and to grow some nice longer flowering sativas. The amnesia, a tried and tested one from dinafem, is one of the best in their catalogue. Big producer and vigorous grower. Awesome taste and potent end product: Same with critical jack. Different flavours and high, a bit less stretchy, probably just a tad less vigourous than her amnesia sister: It's my first time with critical plus. Looks good, nothing mind-blowing as far as vigour grows compared to amnesia: I've grown kolossus before and she's normally a fat thick lady. Something didn't go quite right and they wound up being a week or two behind their dinafem siblings. I've got confidence in them though. Here's one of the 2 rows of kolossi: The moby dicks are some of the hungriest plants I've grown. About 1600ppm to keep them from showing deficiencies. My friend in Germany experienced the same. Individual plant pictures coming soon. Best vibes El Chupa
  2. Hi all, long time no see! After my first grow (Sugar Punch, also Sannie's way and with the COBs, see https://www.opengrow.com/topic/51179-1x-sugar-punch-sannies-way-200-watt-diy-cree-cob-mainlining/ ) I succesfully raised a Shackzilla as well (and boy, that thing got me a lot of bud :D ), then decided to take a little break. However, seeing as I still love Mary Jane and the previous grows were all much better than whatever I can get in the coffeeshops around here I decided to get busy again. Well, that and the fact that I just love to grow dope. Since I burned up all my Sannie seeds (will be reordering some though, I still haven't properly raised a Killing Fields...) I decided to take full advantage of a Black Friday sale at Sensi Seeds (apparently we are doing that shit here in the Nerherlands as well now) and got myself some nice genetics, with the Silver Haze as the star of the show. However, as I am currently all out of bud and want a shorter flowering time I decided to start off with Purple Bud! Hopefully I will finally grow some purple goodness. Not much to see as of yet, but the seed has sprouted and has been planted, I will keep you posted! Not completely sure if I will mainline due to the longer veg time, but it worked great last time around so we'll see. If I do I will let her veg longer than the first time as I had ample of space left for more buds. Setup is the same as before, with some extra added perlite: 1x White Label Purple Bud Feminized 25L of Plagron Light Perlite mix 1x Sannie's bio starter package (tabs, funghi, etc. - see Sannie's site for details) 4x Cree CXB3590 3500K 36V, running at 50 watt per COB, cooled with Arctic Pro 11 CPU coolers and powered by a Meanwell HLG-185H-C1400B driver. Standard fans and filter. This is all crammed into a Secret Jardin DS60. Let's hope we can do even better this time! Thanks for reading and stay tuned...
  3. inspired by this thread: https://www.icmag.co...ad.php?t=309172 after a failed attempt, my first successfull cob enjoy. after 16 weeks of 11/13 some of the semi-dried bud gets cobbed sealed but NO vaccum i left it on my router for a few weeks to sweat in peace after one month the cob looks like this detail of the result now i just let it dry in roomtemps and seal it (this time in vacuum) for another few months as long as i like, really ... it gets only better from here uncobbed bud: dry, woody-spicy, hazey, typical satty bud smell and taste we are used from landrace buds (not very special, imvho) cobbed bud: vanilla, chocolate, smashed rotten fruits and a spicy taste and smell (cobbing is very nice for smoke that tastes bland by itself, makes better smoke) smoked effect is not very different, but i bet it makes a difference form plant to plant. the cobbing process decarbs the bud so it can be eaten as well with very nice effect. some say it is psychedelic, but those have never tripped on real entheogens. it sure makes a warm feeling in my chest and big smile on my face, tho hope you liked this tiny sum-up of my cobbing adventure ... the linked thread provides all the info you need to make it yourself. enjoy your smokes, everybody SAN
  4. Due to some issues from the greater powers, I had to lie low for a while, but I'm back. To cut straight to it: NFT, totally 6 sqm, i have recently started scrogging just because it's a lot easier for me to get better yields when i do so. maybe I haven't found the right sog strain, but I think it's more a skill I don't have (yet). My system was designed for about 9 plants per square metre, but i seem to be doing far better going for a longer time in the veg cabinet and 2 plants per sqm. Each row is 2.1m long and .9m wide (2sqm), lit by 2 air cooled 600w HPS. There are 3 such rows. Till 2 days ago, I had 5 x 600w HPS (Lumatek ballast + Philips Master Greenpower bulb) and one lonely 400w HPS lighting the 3 rows. Power bills due to air conditioner overload and the frequency of air conditioner maintenance required has made me consider and research LEDs. With help and guidance from many forums' members, here as well, I eventually created my first 2 prototypes. the first one is a 432w Cree CXB3590 fixture with 8 3000k COBs, each running at 50w, cooled by an individual heat sink, totally powered by 2 meanwell drivers. (The model number of the LEDs is : CXB3590-0000-000R0UBD30H) the second one is a 420w Bridgelux Vero29 fixture with 4 x Vero29 COBs, each running at 100w, cooled by an individual heat sink, with an individual driver per COB. (i'll fish out the model numbers) These two LED fixtures have replaced 2 of my 600w HPS fixtures. Let's see how they do. it's going to be interesting for sure. The ones in scrog atm are a nice amnesia phenotype, and the wonky middle row is my testing batch for Bodhi's Goji OG. There are a coupla' monsters in there. Best Vibes El Chupa
  5. Howdy OG, Been building an 300 watt cob fixture last couple of weeks, Tought to post a little summary of the build report i made on WF. 6. (Original report: http://www.wietforum.nl/topic/120740-1x-sugar-punch-200w-diy-led-mainlining-bio/page__pid__1426532__st__20#entry1426532) Greetings my fellow growers! With Crimson and others "going international" I decided to put my joint down for a minute and post my Wietforum report here instead of postponing it This is my first grow so any tips, advice and feedback is appreciated! If you have any questions, shoot! So let's start off with the setup: 1x Sannie's Sugar Punch Feminized 25L of Plagron Light Perlite mix 1x Sannie's bio starter package (tabs, funghi, etc. - see Sannie's site for details ) 4x Cree CXB3590 3500K 36V, running at 50 watt per COB, cooled with Arctic Pro 11 CPU coolers and powered by a Meanwell HLG-185H-C1400B driver. All this goodness was put in a Secret Jardin DS60 with a Winflex fan and a Prima Klima filter, with a clipfan on the side. I decided to mainline her because it sounded like a very interesting concept (especially for a stretchy plant) and so far, I have no regrets! The lights (rotate button refused to function)(The wires are less messy now, that was the first trial run) : This is her at day 22, ready for her first haircut: And after: I let her grow out for a bit again, cut her for the second time 4-5 days later, and gave her her third haircut when she was 32 days old: Now we are at day 49, I flipped the switch 9 (actually 10 now ) days ago: You can see the mainlined hub nicely on this picture, she's been hitting the gym It will be interesting to see how much she is going to stretch the coming days, but so far so good. As far as I can tell she looks healthy and strong (some purple on the stems but that comes and goes when I tie her up ) but if anyone disagrees, please let me know! Until the next one, - Henk010 EDIT: I forgot to include a picture of the second pruning, the plant was cut 3 times in total to end up with 8 mains!
