Hello again, not been around for a few years. I was dead happy to see Sannie got some Dynasty Genetics back in stock. I'm doing a few (3) dynasty grows this year and thought I would do an opengrow diary again (I'm sure it makes me less lazy) I usually manage to bungle my way through a grow, fixing any problems as they crop up. fingers crossed for this one last time I was here I was into 1 plant scrogs, same set up but now grow 4 plants at a time. I started 4 seeds, 1 topped off, left me 3 cherry vanilla cookies I got them in the pebbles before any more topped themselves off... I had a few reserve seedlings on stand by, Girl scout crack won the space. this is them 2 weeks later That's the new ones for now. I've already got 3 girls in the flower tent. I was pretty lucky to get 3 girls out of first 3 seeds. 2 are lanky stretchy mf's and one is small fast flowering one, they are joined by a bubble gum at the back left. a picture says a thousand words, v-scrog net on the side wall That will do it for this post. all the best folks : )

Hello Everyone, Well, after having a very successful Jackberry run with 2 moms for over a year, and some shitty (my fault) cheeseberry my ADD got the best of me this summer and I spaced out on watering during a heat wave. Lost 4 moms and a run of 12 plants. But that was a couple of months ago now and its time to get back in the game. Armed with a nice order from Sannie of Jackberry and Shackzilla, with some blue rocket freebees. I am starting out with 5 each shackzilla and jackberry. I put them into peat pucks on Monday and I am happy to report all 10 seeds popped and gave me nice little seedlings. I had them under a weak lamp at first, so the shacks which popped first stretched a little, but its all good. I'm going to give them till next friday, and 3 shack and 2 jackberry will be going directly into 12/12. The remaining 2 shacks will be planted in dirt to keep as moms. The 3 remaining jackberry will be vegged for 4 weeks. Not sure how Im going to handle that yet. They have to go into 3 inch net cups next, so im thinking maybe suspend a net cup over a container? not sure. I am trying something new. I usually run in 5 quart hempys with all perlite. I'm going to try and run this one in DWC bubbler. I made a 6 site 10 gallon rubbermaid container and have a tetra 60 fishtank pump and air stone. I will be using Blue Planet's 2 part. Due to some issues from the greater powers, I had to lie low for a while, but I'm back. To cut straight to it: NFT, totally 6 sqm, i have recently started scrogging just because it's a lot easier for me to get better yields when i do so. maybe I haven't found the right sog strain, but I think it's more a skill I don't have (yet). My system was designed for about 9 plants per square metre, but i seem to be doing far better going for a longer time in the veg cabinet and 2 plants per sqm. Each row is 2.1m long and .9m wide (2sqm), lit by 2 air cooled 600w HPS. There are 3 such rows. Till 2 days ago, I had 5 x 600w HPS (Lumatek ballast + Philips Master Greenpower bulb) and one lonely 400w HPS lighting the 3 rows. Power bills due to air conditioner overload and the frequency of air conditioner maintenance required has made me consider and research LEDs. With help and guidance from many forums' members, here as well, I eventually created my first 2 prototypes. the first one is a 432w Cree CXB3590 fixture with 8 3000k COBs, each running at 50w, cooled by an individual heat sink, totally powered by 2 meanwell drivers. (The model number of the LEDs is : CXB3590-0000-000R0UBD30H) the second one is a 420w Bridgelux Vero29 fixture with 4 x Vero29 COBs, each running at 100w, cooled by an individual heat sink, with an individual driver per COB. (i'll fish out the model numbers) These two LED fixtures have replaced 2 of my 600w HPS fixtures. Let's see how they do. it's going to be interesting for sure. The ones in scrog atm are a nice amnesia phenotype, and the wonky middle row is my testing batch for Bodhi's Goji OG. There are a coupla' monsters in there. Best Vibes El Chupa

Hello all I am looking for advice/help and info on dwc, I am sure these questions have been asked many times before but I cant find them on the forums there is so much to go through. I apologise again for asking all of this again. I am looking into making a dwc setup. I have never run one of these before. I have read many debates on which is the best system and dwc comes up with many times. I used to run a ebb and flow system. But I cant afford all the hydroton to fill the amount of buckets I am looking to run(hydroton is very pricey here not like in other countries I grew before) I have some already that will fill many net pots but maybe only two small buckets(which is not enough ) My main question is how do I change the water and rinse it out with out disturbing/damaging the roots and if in a scrog I can imagine it can be a hassle trying to lift it high enough,as I am hoping to attach my screen to the walls of the room. I forgot to ask about the air pump does it need to run24/7? Any help or advice would be greatly received TIA Highest respects

My last grow was as close to a failure as a successful grow can be. I didn't even bother to measure the yield. The taste of the buds is nice, but the high was far from satisfying, which can be expected when you are forced to cut a sativa leaning hybrid 2-3 weeks early. Could have been worse though. Fortunately, I made some much needed changes, and I think I'm on the right path this time. Sowed 3 Auto Gambians on 3/12. We all know that the Auto Gambians come from one man only, so I don't even think it needs to be mentioned! Started in Rockwool, the infamous 'white hook' showed up at the surface of the rockwool on the 5th, at which point i put them into the 6" net pots. I think they're 6", never bothered to measure them. They were placed in the setup which has space for 3 net pots in a top feed DWC method in a 40L Rubbermaid tub. To the water I added Canna Rhizotonic at ⅛ of the suggested concentration. Set the lights on 20/4. I went out of town and came back in a few days and they were looking like any other seedling. nice and happy. Here they are on the 13th: And on the 15th: Fast forward to 20/12/14 No change in the reservoir at all. Roots are looking nice and white. There is one bigger than the other two; this is purely because the water beneath its roots is receiving an unevenly large share of oxygen. This should all be sorted out when my new air pump arrives and when i move these three to my small trial top feed RDWC setup: This little "elbow" elevation pictured below is to maintain a minimum water level in the buckets: Will test run it in the daytime hours today for a few hours to make sure there are no leaks and it's all working well and then 'transplant' these autogambians into their respective buckets. But wait, there's more! will be setting up an aeroponic grow in a 12 gallon tub with 5 sites in 3" net pots to see how it works out. This will also leave the initial tub (which the auto gambians are currently residing in) empty for more work/experiments. I am also in the process of building my own LEDs and seeing which works best - 3w diodes or 10w ones. I am going to be using a combination of cool white/warm white. I think I will lean towards the 3w because they generate less heat. and we are done...for now. more later amigos Now for a joint of the best charas in the world.... Boom El Chupa

2 Jackberry + 1 Herijuana DWC Scrog 2014 2 Jackberry +1 Herijuana. Hybridhygro’s 1st time growing Sannie’s strains. Here is the set-up for this grow. Indoor / Secret Jarden DR100 grow tent Light / 600w HM veg + Ajust-a-wing shade,600w Hps flower bulb + air cooled shade Medium / DWC 45ltr tub + net pot + clay pebbles. GHE Nutrients Grow Micro Bloom + Silica + Cal Mag. This is done with thanks to Hygrohybrid who taught me how to scrog and grow dwc Style. The 3 plants are in one large net-pot. I started from seed this time. This will be my 1st from seed scrog attempt. I started in root-riots then moved them on to coco. The plan was to do this as a coco grow, but they just sat there doing nothing for about 3 weeks? Change of plan, DWC it has to be. Soon as I moved them boom off they went I’m trying to make this a picture diary with a wee bit of text for each picture. You will get the idea ; ) How i start Sannies seeds How they looked after the transfer to dwc. Set-up for the 600w MH. The roots were getting to big for my 20ltr bucket. I had to improvise a lid and get then into the 45ltr tub. Some paper blocks out the light getting to the roots. I got my new lid for the tub and started to make the scrog cube. Started my low stress training routine, AT this point I think I should say they got mixed up and I’m not entirely sure what is what? I KNOW there are 2 jackberry and 1 herijuana…lol…they look like 3 deferent plants. As they look now in the pictures I think it’s Jackberry#1 and #2 at the front with Herijuana at the back. I soft topped the JB#1 Fimmed JB#2 and did nothing to herijuana. the JB#2 on the right is a beast. Tight internodes massive Indica leaves. JB#1 one on the right has bigger spaced internodes and just as big leaves. What I can see of Herijuana she’s doing fine. Out the tent, this is the Herijuana Got a bigger air pump Pre-LST Post-LST Added some weight to the one on the right This is from tonight. I’m looking to put them into flower this weekend, I had a choice cut a bit off my scrog cube or raise the plants a bit. Added 2 breeze blocks and it’s perfect ; ) After some HST and LST From Above Profile shot We are all up to date with this grow. They are on 420ppm nutrients with the EC around 6.0. Things are looking pretty good considering I’ve never tried a scrog from seed or grown any of Sannies strains before…I’m impressed so far @Sannie All 3 plants looks great. On a side not. My friend who gave me the seeds also started 2 Jackberry, both turned out to be males…lol…Good clones (thanks @fatrasta) are on the way mate hells bells this is a big post. Sorry about that. Hi Opengrowers. I know I don't post here much but I often browse the site and I could not grow out the Killing Fields without saying a big thank you to Sannie and sharing some photos. I have 2 in flower at the moment in deep water culture currently at 60 days 12/12. I am using Canna base nutrients and have just finished 1 week of PK 13/14 added. I am also using House and Garden Multizyme. I plan to flower for another 2 or 3 weeks. Hope you enjoy the pics. #1 #2 Naycha

Startin a new grow. 7th grow. thought they were 2 ko kush. but it turns out dat 1 of them is a amnesia. (last gro!) anyway t amnesia rocks so im secretly delited. got meself sum nu flower food and root stimulater dis is what ill b usin dis time round. Now ere are the ladies! amnesia haze 16 day flo. So ere we are 17 days in2 flower. Shes lng and stretchy in comparision 2 t JBK. hole different animal. really interested in how she turns out. I veg her. Like all my plants at t mo. shes done under t double flur. den straight 2 12/12 Very easy on t feed w dis 1. 40mls of sensi bloom in a 20ltr DWC setup. She also gts Hlf a tblsp of big bud powder and sum CO2 tabs. Shes under a 400 watt hps light Cheers JIMBO

Hi opengrowers! Recently i bought a pack of reg. Herijuana and Chocolate rain. Started to germinate 2 seeds from each pack and ended up with 2 chocolate rain seedlings. Herijuana seeds cracked but one didn't made it after that and the other died from my mistake. So, after a month veg, i ended up with 1 chocolate rain female. The chocogirl was under 105w fluoros all her life (she is around 2 months old now). And she is going to stay in veg stage for 2-3 more weeks, until i harvest some ak-47 that are in the flowering tent. Some info about the setup used: Veg tent: 80x80x160 cm, 105w fluoro lighting, exhaust fan, vent fan. Flowering tent: 120x120x200 cm, 400w or 600w lighting, exhaust fan with carbon filter, vent fan Nutes: trying AN micro and bloom to see if they are better from my old GHE grow, bloom, micro Additives: some trichoderma and mycos from time to time to prevent root rot and help growth. Medium: water! dwc style single pots or connected as a r-dwc Growth style: usually scrog, because i run only 1 up to 4 plants per run. Here is the chocolate rain, you can see some training i do now to the plant, so it can shape up better when i put in under the HPS. Her branches are very strong and often i have to brake them a bit before they become wood. The scrog net is kind of loosy but it helps me sometimes like this. The next 2-3 weeks updates gonna be kind of boring but what can we do, it takes time

Thought I should start a thread so you guys know I did not just find them picture I posted…lol…This is veg had to last 10weeks so it takes a bit of doing. Lots of neglect to start with…low light levels and hardly any food… I started this berry bomb clone in a small grodan block, then into a jug with a small airstone. It looked like she was trying to flower looking at the trichomes. I got a new 300w CFL Bulb and started feeding her, it done the trick, normal growth resumed. I do lots of LST (low stress training) on my scrog plants. Using pegs is an easy way but it dose damage some leaves. I only did this one time for a few hours. The rest of the LST was done by hand ; ) Then the problem with soft water started. I soft top my plants I think the happened on the second or 3rd topping. … More LST I did not have any soft water nutrients but I did have cal-mag. I fed her 400ppm Cal mag.. BIG mistake! She went dark green…Never go above 250-300ppm cal-mag… she looked well messed up for a few weeks…long roots but all out the bottom??? I got proper nutrients for soft water and she’s looking good again. Topped her again last week. She’s got one more week in here. I’ll top her one more time before I move her into the flower tent. If I had not messed up with the Cal-mag I would have been overgrown by now so everything has worked out perfect : ) This is us up to date : ) I don’t use anything fancy I only got the most basic of nutrients but I think I can get my 1gram per watt ambition this time : ) 3rd time lucky…Plus I’m called Robert (after King Robert Bruce) if you know the story. I’ll just try, try, try again until I do it, just like the wee spider. Happy growing everyone

Dis is a clone from my C99 (femaleseeds). the mother hermied on me.she became mammy and daddy. so cut her at 6 wks flower. The smoke was lovely. But cant wait 4 dis 1. Very hardy plant. the clone looks different 2 the mother. fatter leaves. the mothers were skinny sativa leaves. Anyway smokin a nice joint of original cheese. so 4give the ramble. shes in a 20 ltr dwc system these 1s ave no home at t mo. but they seem 2 b goin grand. Dis 1 is in flower (1st wk). She was under a flur lite 4. well 2 lng. Put she is a monster of a plant.(just like her mum) had 2 do sum bending w her. (shed take over the hole closet) 4 t 1st wk of flower I decided 2 stay w the veg. food.(jungle juice) Next wk shes goin on sensi bloom and big bud powder. I am also using co2 tabs as well. Hi everyone, thanks for having me as a member : ) The name hybridhygro was a bad idea… I’m not hygrohybrid and never will be... I’m just a fan who grows in his DWC one plant scrog style. Now we got that cleared up I’ll tell you a bit about myself. I’m from Scotland and I had been growing my own meds in NFT and Waterfarm for a long time… I’ve tried soil and all-mix but I much prefer hydroponic growing. Last year I switched to DWC, I was lucky with my first attempt at DWC Scrog. I had lots of problems with heat and soft water in my second DWC Scrog grow. I’ve still to master it but I hope to do better with my next attempt : ) I’m just about to start some of @sannie’s Sativa strains, I’m really looking forward to that, a big thanks to Tich for getting me them ; ) Can’t wait to get to know you guys.
