  1. Hi friends ! Here comes a diary of my actual grow, an outdoor session, in France, located on the 47.5° N . It was now 6 years i stopped growing, mostly indoor for 15 years. Just like riding a bike, you don't forget your basics. i always be an soil & organic grower. I try every possible technics in hydro, aero, and always came back to the good old dirt. For a successful grow, you need few things: - Good genetics - w/o a decent strain, it is loosing times and energy - Good medium, in my case a decent soil, organic feeding : The pot is 40 liters, filled with 6-15-13 premix(30mS/m) + 4-8-10 - slow release granulate - Passive feeding. - Sun i lost an hole life of genetics, but find back this winter a bag of seeds, the last cross i did in 2013 before i quited. But never tested them before this year. And that is not the most easy strain to work with. It a 4ways cross of Pure sativa strain, from Landraces parents; So not yet stabilized, but full of promise "on the paper" [Gambian male x Neville's Haze female] x [Colombian gold 1972 male x Jamaican Lambs-bread female]. Except the Neville's Haze, the landraces genetics i've worked were provided by USC seeds in early 2010's. And i grew all these strains individually at the time, and made my own selection, The Gambian male is very special : as far as i know, he has not been bred with a ruderalis, but he grew like an auto, flowering after only 3 weeks and showing pollen after 5 - Fast ! And he was my choice of male in order to shorten the flowering period of the 14/16 weeker i was going to pollinate; as we will see later in this diary, the result to make it as early as possible is better than expected. The seeds are 6 years old and has not been store in the rules of art, but enough to get some viable kids. In my area, spring started early, warm and sunny, and i threw directly on the ground of my garden a bunch of seeds at the end of March. 3 weeks later, on April14th i saw two of them showing up. Stage #1 - The Seedling - Early April 2019 [.../... To be continued - Stay tuned]
  2. Hello everyone. This is my first grow with Sannies seeds and Killing Fields I got 4 females and 6 males from my 10 pack. Ive let the first tiny clones of each plant bloom in open pollination for sexual identification of parents, so i got 4 seeded buds for a pre-smoke test already (not really positive). I killed all males during their sleep. Sorry for all following pics that were taken under hps So i dropped clones in my homesoil and scrogged them Stretch 2 weeks Early flowers week 3+ week 4 unleashing anthocyanin week 5 week 6 Now week 7 stretch included Temp range from 8°C to 23°, RH 60%, light is 600hps/1.2m², soil is mostly cow manure, coco fibers and re-used soil from last grow. about 30l per plant. drinks more than 10liters/m² every 2 days with normal nutrients, PH fixed, no bugs. Temp is a bit low by night, i waited a bit too long before switching to bloom, probably did not defoliated enough, but no real big problems I'll try to describe the 4 phenos i have First one is the deep purple, quite dense, sativa leafs, smells nothing yet. The second one is less purp. sometimes grey and low smell. The third one is a green one, with wider leafs, and smell mango since first trichrome popped. very strong sticky smell. Less dense than the purps, and more leafy. Last one is green and smells nothing yet. probably the less interesting. all his clones had less vigor in rooting or growing period than #1#2#3 here is #3, the only pheno with nice mango smell. And the #1 , most eye candy but smells hemp I still have about 5 weeks to go but i seriously doubt that "sour berry grape cream" terps will pop from nowhere next month. To be honest it may be the first time i see some so exuberant buds with a so shy fragrance. I know its early for concluding about this grow but I still have the 4 moms alive and i need to free some space as i have an army of KF clones to repot. I'm not familiar with killing fields but, to me, for now the only interesting one i got is the "wide mango green pheno". The 3 others don't smell sexy weed. from my experience, if it doesnt smells good at week 7, it will never do. I'm very surprised because my potential keeper absolutely don't match strain description, previous grow reports or other smoke tests from various websites. So i don't know what to think about this strain because i was expecting some sour cream berry that most people seems to get. So for now i would say i'm 25% happy with my grow. I will try to update with more pics next month. I can still aim the bud of the month picture if temps stays low Hazy wishes
  3. I decided to try the AutoPot and just setup a 4-pot system in my tent and have a question or two before I get too far along, which isn't far. I've only put about an inch or two of clay balls into the bottom of the 3.9 gallon pots... I have the following grow medium option's: CocoTEK, Perlite, and an high quality organic soil mix from a recipe I made a batch of some time ago and had stored in a garbage can in my barn. It is very dry, but I assume it will be okay to use once thoroughly wetted. My orginal plan was to use a combination of all 3 medium's: CocoTEK, Perlite and my organic soil. But I have no idea in what ratio to use and worry if too much soil, I'll burn my new plants when they are ready to transplant into it from seed starters. So if someone could recommend an approach for what I have, I would be grateful to learn from you. From there, I think I just need to get a handle on a feeding schedule as it goes along. I was thinking the soil should provide plenty of nutrients on it's own for awhile before I would need to start feeding anything else- so this is another area where I could use some advice if possible. Pic of my tent and setup below, but not much to look at so far...
  4. Hello everyone o/ I am new here and I thought the best introduction I can do is to post about my latest grows. This is a Grow report for Chocolate Rain under 400W HPS in Soil using only the BioBizz fertilizer series without any additional Stimulants on 10 sq ft ( 1m² ) of space .I am currently doing a Jack Hammer x Blue Hammer Freebies run, so this one is already finished. I hope you enjoy my writeup and the pictures and feel free to have a look at my latest grow that is currently running which I'll link once I am done with it in about 14 days. I am always interested in Feedback and answering questions as often as I can so feel to ask if you have something on your mind. English is not my mother tongue, so please excuse any mistakes I make in the process of doing this writeup. -- This project started when a friend I regularly compete against growing the same strains told me that because of the inferior quality of most feminized seeds you can't select and keep a mother of the same quality as regular seeds. Reading the opengrow forums for some time I knew that Eskobar made a comment once where he said that because of the way he feminizes seeds there is no difference in the quality of a mother plant grown from his feminized seeds compared to other breeders regular seeds. Respecting Eskobar as someone who knows what he's doing I told my friend I'll start growing a hand selected CR mother out of only 10 Seeds and have the cuttings compete against anything he wants to throw at it. This beautiful little girl ended up being my mom so I'll start with her. We will fast forward a bit to the time I took cuttings from here. In the top left you can see that beautiful little girl all grown up. Almost no training besides some low stress bending. The cuttings rooted within 7 days in the Aero cloner without any problems looking very vital overall. After that they were transplanted into 2 Gallon Pots (6.5L) filled with BioBizz All-Mix soil as you can see in the picture below. ( Top Left) A week later they went into 3 Gallon Pots ( 11L ) filled with BioBizz All-Mix soil under 400W MH. ( Top Right ) The bottom is 9 days into Flowering still under the 400W MH when i switched to a 400W HPS system. By flowering Day 15 they were already full into flowering mode. I thinned out the bottom third that would not get much light but tied to keep as much of the bigger leafs as I could in order to give them a little extra food to work with. At this point they started bitching a little, i knew from the selection grow that the mom was extremely picky about nutriens, i just used the All-Mix soil instead of the Light-Mix in the hopes I wouldn't have to give them extra nutes at all over the course of 60 days. A little claw here and there in the beginning was something i expected and the girls didn't dissapoint me. At Flowering day 20 they started to show nice flower development. They only got clear water with slight PH regulation for the past three weeks now. Nice colors, nice flowers, everything was looking good and my friend already quite pissed about the quality of cuttings I got from my fem mother. He was in for more surprises i can tell you that. We are now at Flowering Day 28. Resin production kicking in and flowers are filling up nicely. Still not a single extra nute, just clear water. Also this was the day I started to fall in love with the strain. A close up from Day 30 because the Day 28 picture is not the sharpest. You can see the kind of resin production I personally look for in a keeper. Flowering Day 37. Time for a group shot. Smile and wave girls. Smile and wave. The picture that made my buddy really mad is from Flowerig Day 44. I told him they are majestically towering over his shitty regular mom genetics. Also the lower branches, right over the area where I started thinning them out started to grow flowers in the shape of big juicy strawberries. At this point they smelled a lot like fuel. I was expecting some chocolate but got more of a diesel flavour going on with a tiny bit of fruityness. Very strange smell but not unpleasant. Flowering Day 50. Still only clear water but full onset of Autumn going on. I'll add a macro shot of the same plant I was showing you Day 20 and 30. Flowering Day 53. Some of the nicest colors I have seen in a pant. And of course another Groupshot from a different angle. I had to tie them up a bit so they wouldn't fall over. They were still gaining weight rapidly while using the nutes from the leafs and soil only. And because the picture with the colors was a bit unsharp another one that shows the amount of Trichs better. We are almost done here. Flowering Day 57. I put them into darkness for 48h afterwards and then harvested. The picture speaks for itself. After about 6 days of drying with the paper bag method I put them into jars to cure with Bovedas and some plastic bags for personal consumption until the cure was a feww months in. Verdict: I didn't only get about 80 grams dry more than my friend got with his reg mother, but I am also glad I made this experiment because this Chocolate Rain mother went into my mother tent immediately after the selection grow. The nugs have a great look and feel, if you expect chocolate smell, my phenos smell has nothing to do with chocolate, but instead I got fruity diesel, while you can definitely smell the fuel on them while vaporizing you get more of the fruity and sweet taste from it. The quality of this smoke and it's taste is incredible if you look at how much these seeds cost you. I have the greatest respect for Eskobar and his work and that he gives other people the chance to grow his gear. I am not saying you will probably find a keeper like this in every pack of seeds, but if you are starting out or starting getting a mother selection going you could easily find 2-3 phenos that do not only smell and look great but really put some weight on the scale. At least from what I can tell with the 10 seeds I had. The lack of nutes I needed to grow this is another plus, I don't mind putting some BioBizz Nutes into the soil but the less nutes you need the better in my opinion, especially if you try to grow Bio like I do. After three months of cure in the jars the fuel smell is almost gone, but the fruityness and a very distant sour cream comes into the foreground. They taste different than the ones I consumed in the past three months that didn't cure and I am kinda sad I filled two 1 Gallon ziplocks for immediate consumption instead putting one of them into another few jars. But the good thing is I can always grow new Chocolate Rain if I feel like it. Thanks for your time and I hope you enjoyed the little report. Your GrowBro.
  5. Hopefully this can be a place to share ideas, successes, the science of, results from and failures encountered when creating soil mixes. So I used Subcool's super soil recipe for my first grow, I've had really good results with it but the problem for me is that being a vegetarian and for some potential contamination risks it really doesn't work for me growing weed in soil containing animal products. This conundrum has resulted in me developing my own vegan soil mix, I have allowed myself worm castings (as you can take these things too far), I took the idea I learnt from the super soil of making a base or potting soil and then fortifying a percentage of it to use when planting into the final pots. I wont post the recipe yet as I am just about to use it and wouldnt want to share it until I know whether it works or not. But I will discuss what I used in it and my thinking behind it if anyone is interested. I am also very interested in knowing what everyone else does when mixing soil and compost tea mixes etc Looking forward to sharing ideas, knowledge is power! X p.s I am not trying to tell anyone else how they should be making their soil or debate the morality of the meat industry.
  6. Hello everyone. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to cannabis. I am still planning my first grow. Lot's of people share their favorite soil recipes, with worm castings and guano and every other kind of bright idea. I am wondering about the potential for good organic soil, straight out of the bag, possibly cut with perlite/vermiculite to improve drainage, but nothing else. Assume my room and my environment are all spot-on. Assume i have average to outstanding genetics. If I can veg 6 plants in 3 gallon pots for six weeks and then flower for eight weeks under good quality 360 watt LEDs, but only soil and water is used, what kind of yield could i expect? Anyone with experience growing in soil only, I would love to hear your stories. I am trying to decide whether to pursue such a grow. What kind of yield per plant could I expect? Thanks.
  7. Hello, I'm the "Aquaponic Dumme". I grow using the Aeroponic-Aquaponic method. Recently I've been developing an aero-aqua-soil method, and will update as it becomes more stable. There's a picture of my garden.

  10. I prefer granular myself because I don't like buying water, and granular fertilizer is in it's dry non-reactive state.
  11. Does anyone have experience using this? I normally use BX, with Mycorrhizae in it. Only issue I have is what comes with it at times, gnats lol Grow store has a special of 5 of these for a cool 99 bucks, so with that great deal think I will pick them up instead of the BX with Mycos. Anyone use this?
  12. It's been a while... After some runs on rfx/hydro i wanted to do an bio/organic grow. Also the jars of organic grown herb are empty so its time to fill them jars up. 14. Hello, I need some assistance with my [HAZE X] (Sensiseeds) plants. First some INFO: Light: 4 42watt 2700 CFLS Pots: 1 gallon for first 25 days, then transplanted into 3 gallon pots with %30 Perlite Soil: Universal planting Compost Temp: 25c (Stable) Water: Mineral drinking water (PH-7.4) 500ml per plant every 3 days. Nutrients: I only fed twice, i put two teaspoons of 12-12-17 into 500ml of water and divided it equally to all three plants, i did this procedure twice, once every other watering i did. Three days ago I noticed some browning on the tips of some edges. as another day passed, the brown tips occurred on other leaves too, usually midway through the plant. Also, now the brown tips are starting to form on new leaf growth. ALSO, there are a few random white patches on some leaves(1 inch patches at max). Leaves at the middle of the plant have also started to fade in color. This problem is only happening to two out of three plants, even though they are the exact same grow. INFO: I transplanted a week ago because since sprout, I have never seen any run off of water, this included the two times i fertilised. I got worried so i transplanted. INFO: I just flushed the plants yesterday to try to eliminate the possibility of Nute and salt Buildup, there was a bit of a boost in growth today but maybe i am just imagining it. INFO: ALL plants look extremely healthy and have fast Growth rates. IMPORTANT: One of the plants are starting to form similar to PURPLE? coloring on the side stems... 15. HeY Friends. I got very good soil from holland last year which i'm using at the moment. I got it from the Puk guys. I wanted gold Label but it was not available. So i got this and it works perfect and has the right consistence and like it seems ingredients. It is also packed in golden bags and the guy said its the same mix as GL soil. Since i know things changed over there my question is: 1. is GL soil or this stuff still available? The site is not reachable and Puk is out of business also i think.?? Maybe you dutch friends can tell me? boOm100
  16. Hi all! I post regularly on another forum under a different handle, but now that I'm going to be growing some gear from Sannie's Shop (and testing some Blueberry!), I wanted to make my way over here as well. These are my first Canna plants from seed. I've started 5 Jackberry x KO Kush and 1 Chocolope. The Chocolope was the lone seed that turned up while trimming a friend's plant, so it's kind of just a bonus I thought I'd include. I grow organically in soil. The seedlings are currently in 4" (I believe) pots. When they move up in size (I haven't decided yet what size, but I'm thinking of flowering them in 3 gallon smart pots) I am planning to put them into the following soil mix: Base 50% Sphagnum Peat 25% High quality EWC 25% Airation (Perlite, Pumice and/or Lava Rock) Ammendments (1/2 cup ea. per cubic foot of base soil) Crab Meal Kelp Meal Neem and Karanja Meal (50/50 mix) Glacial Rock Dust (this one will be 3 or 4 cups per cubic foot of base) Unless it seems like I need to do something different, I will probably just feed them with teas made from Kelp and Alfalfa, plus a little Pro-Tekt. Since they need to be sexed I'm leaning towards cloning them early and putting them into flower small, and then using the second round to better glimpse their potential. Here's some pictures! I had 100% germination within 3-4 days. Most of them came up within 2 days. Here they are on day 15... #1-3 in the top row, #4,5, and Chocolope on bottom row. So far so good. Thanks to Sannie and the other great breeders here for making these genetics available!

    Kolossus in Soil First Grow

Yo what's up everybody, this is my first grow, hoping everything works out well for my babies. So far I have 10 seedlings in 5 gallon smart pots (which I started in spongepots and planted straight into the 5 gallon, which i should've put in smaller containers, but hey you live and you learn right?) they're coming up to 2 weeks old Each pot has 2 buffer tablets, mycro and perfect start spread throughout. I've been dosing my babies with root stimulator every other watering (this week I'll give them a good watering of bacto). The soil is a mixture of Ocean Forest and Perlite. At the moment they're under 2 x 600 W MH bulbs turned down to 50% (waiting on 2 X 125 Watt CFL's to come in). The average temperature and humidity in the room is 77 degrees F / 50% Rh. I'm also supplementing the CO2 with a generator (air exchange is not an option for my grow room) I have 20 more that have been germinating for 4 days (15 sprouted, 5 more to go (fingers crossed))
  20. Hello everyone !! - i will have some nude shots of some hotties in week 5 of flower posted soon, but this grow I will start like all good fictional stories... Once upon a time, in a land far, far away... 2 little Extrema Seeds were planted in the dead of night just to the left of some plants with old souls... And it was good... But Extrema felt young and lonely... and so 6 more were created! And it was good... On the 7th day, there was rest, and peace filled the land.
  21. These are my Ladies (Kolossus). These Ladies are 12 days of age.I have them in an organic composted soil and a little bit of worm castings.70%to 30% ratio.I put them out in the sun in the morning. To get that Cali sun Shine. Then bring them in under a UFO LED light. Its as good as a 400 watts MH/HPS. I have grow under it before and it is as advertised, for veg. I have yet to use it for flowering. For Flowering ill be using a 400 watt HPS. If temps in my grow tent were to get too hot, ill try out the LED and see how it performs in flowering. That's further down the road tho. I plan to germinate 7 more Kolossus. Ill give them about 3 weeks veg then 12/12 time. Here are a few pics..
  22. Here we go lads, Growreport N°3 As the title says there are 14x reg Anesthesia 14x reg Chocolate Rain (from now on just called "ChocR") 1x fem Sugar Punch 1x fem Heribei The plants have been raised under 2x 150W T5 for some weeks now. Theyve been repotted 2 days ago and are since then under the 600W MH. As Iam using Light Mix I will let the plants settle in for another week in Veg to make some roots and suck the soil empty. They were started in 4L Pots and are now in 9L/10L Pots. ChocR in 9L, the rest in 10L. Iam using a wide range of nutes, mostly snake oil and "for fun". My nutes are: Stims and such: Com Cat, Neudorf Stechmücken-Ex (Bacillus Thurigensis israelis), Hesi SuperVit, Ecolizer: Grow Up, Root Up, Bloom Up, ATA XL, Milford Molasses (organic) NPK: Fishmix, Hesi Phosphor Plus, Canna PK 13/14, Plagron Terra Bloom. Also I have Canna Mono: Trace, Mg, Ca. Also I have (but do not want to use): GHE Ripen and GHE One Part Gro. I have an EC Meter (Adwa and Liters of cal juice) and very good pH "drops" from GHE. Here is a pic the first day after repotting: (40h ago) The plants look a bit "crushed" from the small Veg closet. They will like the big tent ALOT! 40 hours later they have started to spread their wings! To control and tame this Jungle I have two new toys ^^ Yes, it is true. I am in fact so stupid, that it took me 5 Grows to realize how important a web is It costed like 10€ and will help me probably more than anything I bought in the last year So much from me! If there is a nice visible growth spurt than I will so the next update. One question to y´all: I have 1 week (8 days) of veg left. Should I top the ChocR or just go for it and snap the stretchers around the WebIt? Woule really like to see her untopped first... but I hope she is not as "topping needy" as the Jack Berry ^^ Have fun, enjoy your stay! GB
  23. it turned out that my current soil is soilless (pete moss bla bla) and i guess its better to buy some product that is 100% good for my next grow operation, i'm not growing many plants - 3-4 ant it won't be super expensive ATAMI JANECO LIGHT MIX or PLAGRON LIGHT MIX i will use mineral nutes after 3rd week of flowering if everything is OK i am having problems with my current soil and i decided to buy some nce brand also my water s ph seemed kind of high - 7.9 so i lower it now a bit but i plan to buy some femmed sannie seeds ( i used s1's until now) and i have a slight upgrade in my grow cabinet so i plan to: 1.clean my room 2.install new equipment 3.buy good soil, seeds 4. veg for at least a month or when i see internoding branches 5. flower and be careful with mineral nutes 6. make diary in order to track problems (if any) early do you have more suggestions? i hope i wont run into any issues this is why i decided to choose some light mix soil my local shops sell plagron and atami soils
  24. Hi All Came across these awhile back and looked interesting...especially the price. Green By Nature Soiis Anyone had any experience ? Grtz HillCrest
  25. Hi all, I have been given a full range of the guanokalong ammendments, nutrient and soil aswell as the Bio-Bizz full nutrient range and soil. The plan is to pitch them against each other in a brand vs brand grow off. Im going to Veg 16 plants in BB light mix in 6L Air-prune pots then transplant 8 into the GK mix and 8 into BBAllmix. They will be transplanted into 15L (maybe 20L) airprune pots to see what differences there will be! Now..... I'm used to using BB's feeds and soil but never tried any of GKs amendments/feeds, just their soil, so was wondering if anyone had any experience with GK they could possibly help me with. The list of the GK stuff I have: GK Soil Mix Kalonggrow Organic Liquid Kalongbloom Organic Liquid GuanoKalong Extract Tub of Guano Now for the interesting samples....... Tub of Volcanic Loam: "sourced from the numerous volcanoes on Java. This product represents a very mineral rich natural loam and helps crops grow excellently without the addition of much fertilizer. Volcanic loam also supplies a wide range of scarce trace elements." "Mix with the soil at a ratio of 10% of total volume. Use as top dressing at a ratio of 5 liters per square meter." Seaweed Powder(0.5-2-0): "From Gracilaria red algae. Contains macro-elements and is very rich in micro-‐nutrients. Promotes root structuring and plants growth. Increased resistance of plants against bacteria and diseases. Supplements regular nutrient program." "Use: Water with solution of 1 cup(50ml) to 5 liters of water every week. Mix 2 cups with 15 liters of soil(1 plant) in first week or use as top dressing." Cotton Seed Powder(5-2-2): "Derived from wild jungle plants. Cotton seed powder is an alternative vegetal source with a complete organic scale of the main nutrients guaranteed to release over an extended period of time. High content of organic matter loosens tight and heavy soils and helps light, sandy soils to hold moisture and nutrients." "Use: Mix 2 cups with 15 liters of soil(1 plant) in first week or use as top dressing." Fish Powder(4-5-1): "is obtained from tropical fishes which are gathered by fishermen in the Java Sea. The strong presence of nitrogen and phosphorous helps plants with rapid growth, root structuring, increased seed & fruit production and improves the quality of the crops." "Use: Water with solution of 1 cup(50 ml) to 5 liters of water. Mix 1 cup with 15 liters of soil(1 plant)in 2nd week or use as top dressing." Palm Tree Ashes(4-5-1): "originates from the Indonesian island Sulawesi. The ashes contain a high quantity of potassium, some phosphorus and magnesium. Together used with Guanokalong powder, it's an organic bloom booster." "Use: Water with solution of 1 cup(50ml) to 5 liters of water every 2 weeks in flowering stage. Mix 2 cups with 15 liters of soil(1 plant) in second week of flowering or use as top dressing." The above descriptions are as much info as I've been given to go on, so.....basically my question is: How do I go about using all of the GK ammendments together(if at all)? Shall I go Gung-Ho and use all these ammendments at the suggested rates, along with the grow and bloom feeds? Or does anyone having any sort of recommended regeme of some description? Cos that would be dead handy..... Cheers Wonton
