Yep, it’s the cut I bought out here with me. I’m not running it for a while, it’s in the hands of 2 others when or if I need it, I want to see how the Bodhi Skywalker cross I have does first.

Who's Scruffy Looking?

nerfherder.jpg.58bb0ad75596c2fabb1fb7a198164360.jpg

You guys and Star Wars names.

This is "Nerfherder" at week 4

nerf.jpg.b2178af21b1f6d7500723f7dabf0af1a.jpg

It's a purple tangie, and a clean one.

nrtf2.thumb.jpg.e1e41616b0212e97f6ded17cbbf19825.jpg

Delightfully frosty full thick calyxes, 9 weeks flat, nice lavender finish, and it's a tangie.

Killingfields Madonna Jackhammer and Selene in no particular order.

Hey baqualin, Mate excuse my general idiocy, but what is "LOS"? All I can think of is Line of Sight or Loss of Sanity, which obviously makes no sense haha. Stunning shot btw bro.

LOS = living organic soil.

Line of sight! I know that one. I used to be a land surveyor. ;)

That green Sugarpunch is some powerful strong gear.

Live soil is the only way to go, cheaper and it gives a way better finish.

I want to taste the bud, not nutrient solution or stale desiccant pack.

Unless growing specifically for Instagram, feeding through flower is getting counter productive here in legality land.

It's not helpful to get a bumper crop if you can't sell it all.

Onyx Fire by Justcozz (Lemon Bubba x Kinkyblaze) (or reversed)   It's getting cloudy trichs and some amber, already. Seems like it's only been 6 weeks at best. The buds are super solid and big.

Hi Scone_Of_Ark, I'm hoping to do something like that for my first indoor grow. It's hard to get some of the products required where I am at, but I've got a compost pile and a worm farm on the go now which should hopefully solve that problem. I like your thinking. I was hoping to somehow replicate how I grow organically outdoors, but indoors- seems like the way to go.

Cheers

Thanks Halforc. We've had constant cucumber beetles this summer and they eat on the leaves, but no damage really other than they look ratty sometimes. There isn't much you can do to get rid of them.

I'm really impressed with this strain. The buds are large and real solid. And, it smells wonderful.

Live soil can be any organic potting mix or anything like it that you can make yourself.

The 'live' part means using the soil life to feed the plant rather than feeding.

This is more about the soil environment than the stuff in the soil.

Keep the fungus happy and the fungus takes care of everything.

All I ever have to do is water.

Yep, let the microbes do the work. If the soil has all of the trace elements inside in some from, the microbes will break it down and make it available to the plant for uptake, when it wants it. I started with ProMix and some organic soils mixed in a little, and have used Roots Organics dry nutrients. Now I recycle the soil and recharge it a little with new worm castings (has lots of natural microbes inside) and a little compost and new charge of the minerals and microbes.

Then the plant has it all inside when it needs it and will only uptake what it needs. If you let the new mix sit and work for a week or two it will be charged right away. I've been lazy and putting the plant in it right away. In that case, I give them a fish hydrosylate with all trace elements in a tea and some molasses to get the microbes going. That sustains it until the microbes start releasing some of the nutrients they've broken down. It gets easier each time. Add silica into the mix and you will have stronger plants in regards to pest resistance.

I better go smoke some more. All of the sudden I was feeling all smart and stuff...peace

Haha well you sound like a genius to me.Good plan and great breakdown for me Mr G and SoA. I'm about a couple weeks away from having good compost and casting, i could probably get away with it now but it hasn't broken down properly yet. Also found a good recipe in one of baqualins threads I think and there is a thread on another website called "jerry's organic obsession" I think which also looks good.

Smoke one for me mate :smoke.

Cheers

Wow, she’s looking great. I’m surprised she didn’t turn dark for you. Them buds are going to be heavy heavy....

Oh, and Onyx Fire = Santeros Lemon Bubba x SiFi Blaze #8 male.....And just for a reminder, SiFi Blaze is Barrie84’s Kinky Blaze x Silverfields...same male as the JC Haze and the pollen I sent you.

I always go LOS and recently added Diametous earth to my mix and the difference is noticible, stronger overall growth and branches are very resistant to bending and bondage, no more broken stems ;)

I also incorporate NEEM meal cake in my mixes for bug prevention. (Works well as a eradication measure when applied in sufficient amounts)
