Nice to see you here Kiefer's brother's sister's uncle's friend's mother's roomate's lawyer's taxidermist's parole-officer's neighbor's dogtrainer. :tu Maybe if you ask Kiefer he will give you a cutting of his "Mask" and show you how to grow it... Then you could do a grow thread.

I am Kiefer's brother's sister's uncle's friend's mother's roomate's lawyer's taxidermist's parole-officer's neighbor's dogtrainer, and I can assure you that he's just fine and dandy...he's not on other forums, he's not in jail...nothing is wrong. He's not allowed to post here anymore, so he's respecting the moderators' wishes. He does come on here almost every day though, to read new posts, and to keep up with Sannie's new strains, and to watch his friends' grow diaries.

I hear that "The Mask" grows very similar to "Jackberry F2's", and even though he got 4 different phenos, none of them smell during vegetation, and he is very happy with them. I am sure he's taking pictures of his grow for his own enjoyment, and if I were to be able to get a hold of them after the grow, I might even try to post some for the sake of completion. I am new to this forum, and I don't really understand complex machinery like wheel-burrows, or computers...I am a slow learner...I have the feeling it would take me about 64 more days to figure out how to post a picture.

BTW, this SSL is great.

Hello clepter, and welcome. From one forum noob to another I bid you a good, and long stay.

Well if you see our Kiefer please tell him we would all be very grateful if he were to pass you some piccies for our pleasure, and indeed, for "closure". I do hope Kiefer is able to find some other outlet for his unique energy and excellent (if somewhat risqué) sense of humour.

I don't really understand SSL either, but I do understand that it is great! :tu

Best, figment.

Yeah, I will try to relay those messages for all of those that asked...it might take a while, I have to go through a long network of people to get a message to him.

Sadly, I don't have any new pictures, just these two ancient pictures from yesterday, of all the plants in their 2nd week of 12/12.

gallery_1057_627_16617.jpg

And this picture of what appears to be fully rooted clones...I'm not sure though...I've never even seen a clone. :tu

Oh well...perhaps one day I too will be able to grow things like everyone else on here.

I have not missed him one bit as he was a nut case who harassed other members and couldn't tell the difference between being funny and being an ass.

He made the experience of this boards a difficult one for more than a few members.

If people want to act looney and harrass each other planetganja.com is the place to go.

sorry, i was only talking of his growing abilities. And we are all a little crazy that's why we use mj for balance. I must say that negative energy has no place in my world, I try to block it all out. Don't worry, be happy. I'm really high right now and I'm not really sure what I'm saying but I like to live on karma's good side.

Also, Joker, you don't seem like you are kidding and I'm sure it's for the best. So may I wish many a happy harvests to us all. :tu

I wish I was joking. He put a lot of energy into some humorous things and into grow threads.

When his warped sense of humor was on, he is very funny. Iwish him success in all he does.

But there are also many enthusiastic master growers on board who help everyone with no pretensions.

Maverick,Wazzup! Mrs G1, WPW, Mota Jeffman and the whole Militia, Dequilo, Sannie!!, WPW ,hupla!, kees the mad, Blower,

Chaco.... I could go on and on with theamazing internation assembly. These are serious growers!

Plus there are a many great new members and enthusiastic growers.I love it. Big V'S got a DWCthread going...

There a lot of good members here. I am happy to interact with you too!

Let's stay positive!

Indeed! Everyone you just mentioned I have read and enjoyed grows of, you too. I guess when it all boils down, I'm just another bud porn fanatic like the rest of ya. :tu

This plant will be my most cherished companion in life; It's a passion that will never die and I have many forums and sites to thank but all in all I thank everything at once. If not for all of you, I would probably be suffering from root rot and malnourishment. Instead, my grows have been lovely and I have to say that I think I was just about to repeat myself. I'm glad to interact with all of you.

Update - 25 days into 12/12

After sexing the plants, I was left with 1 KO, 3 The Mask, 2 Jackberry F2, and one Herijuana. You can't see the KO or Heri in this pick. I topped EVERYTHING, and like magic, I have TWICE AS MUCH weed as before:

gallery_1057_627_368079.jpg

A multi-headed KO Kush F1...this lady was topped, and is yielding 5x more than the last run's purple pheno:

gallery_1057_627_431372.jpg

The female Herijuana is a bit of a runt...it's just getting into flower:

gallery_1057_627_396615.jpg

Ahh, The Mask...dank as hell, looks somewhat similar to Jackberry, but smells like shit, and has really indica looking leaves:

gallery_1057_627_23784.jpg

A closer look at a few leaves of "The Mask":

gallery_1057_627_250970.jpg

Jackberry F2, looking dank as well...smaller trichomes than The Mask, but it has just as many:

gallery_1057_627_443244.jpg

Things learned this grow:

1. Use chemical fertilizers - They really do work...

2. Top everything - you get twice as much.

Another update at harvest...

Hi Clepter,

Topping will certainly anhance the ammount of buds, but it greatly depends on when you top them and how, don't top while already flowering, you don't want that...

Yes chemical fertilizer works, but it does taste different, you will notice that I think..

Good luck,

Kees.

Thanks man. I was thinking of trying this product here Clearex, but I am not sure if it's a gimmick or not. They are the same people that make "Liquid Karma", and I really enjoy that product.

I'll tell that for sure, both wet and dry weights. The KO I am growing now is an F1, I am not sure if Sannie sells them anymore, as all that I see now are the F2's on his shop page, so I don't know if the yield well be aid you in determining if you want to run KO or not.

If you supplement with organic additives and do semi organic , the differences will be barely noticable. Clearex is really meant for hydro systems and I don't use it on my soil plants. If you use additives such as Budswell, you will have a much better taste than Floralicious or Liquid Karma. I've tried them all and they weren't as good in terms of increasing flavor as budswell. Yield is easy to get up, but a smooth smoke with a great flavor takes a little more care.

In hydro, Clearex is great and I use it twice during my grow cycle.

Part of the trick is not over ferting in the first place. I use a basis of chemical fertilizers supplemented with organic additives to increase the flavor and yield. Doesn't matter how long you flush if you've over ferted in the first place. I just use water in the last two weeks in soil and the residual nutes in the soil keep the buds swelling and you'll get a smooth flavor/smoke.

IMHO Clearex is bullshit, as far as I've read at least...

CLEAREX ™ is a scientifically formulated isotonic drench solution, which effectively binds with the excess nutrient salt and safely leaches it from the soil. Leaching with tap or deionized water can lead to hyptonic conditions which cause cell lycis with outflow of essential electrolytes and nutrients. This causes tissue damage leading to serious pathogen disorders such as bacterial and fungal infections. CLEAREX ™ is isotonic, therefore, it creates a safe osmotic environment which allows plant cells to maintain an optimal turgor pressure during treatment.

What is meant is a Isotonic solution, that means that the solution has the same EC as the cell's inside so that it does not change the turgor in the cell (tension due to electrochemical difference and water attraction from the salt mass). Hypertonic means more molecules in the solution, this will make cells have less wateri n them thus lowering their strength and toughness. Hypotonic means that there is a lot of water compared to little bit of salts so water is readily absorbed by cells making tham hard and big, that is why plants grow faster when they're wet... And that's why don't grow so well if they get to much EC boost at once, they have not acclimatized...

So far, this is a product you can use to buffer your EC while flushing, that's all... On hydro I'd say, possible but not nescecary... (might contain enzymes, but it does not say so so I don't think so...)

Greets,

Kees.

Kees,

I get a strong mineral salt build up on the edge of my pots and hydroton from the splashing. Clearex makes that go away. Vinegar also works very well, but I can't run that through the system. You can also use pure water. If their is a mineral salt build up from chemical ferts, you will watch the ppm of your clear water rise as the medium rinses off. Clearex does work on salts stuck to hydroton, but I don't think it's of any use in soil.

I flushed my soil with clearex and while it didn't hurt I don't think it was any benefit either. I would just flush with R/O water in soil.

Kees,

Clearex does work on salts stuck to hydroton, but I don't think it's of any use in soil.

It was just this part that had me thinking:

Pre-Harvest Treatment (Soil or Soilless)

Discontinue fertilizer regime 2 –3 days before harvest. Use 1 to 2 tablespoons (15 –30 ml) of CLEAREX ™ per gallon of water. Water as needed.

I believe you though...I just can't stand when a product doesn't say what's in it. I even checked Illinois and Washington fert pages, because by law they make people say what's in their shit, and it doesn't say.

Right now, I am using chemical/organic mix from Fox Farm products. I am using the big three chemical products though:

1. Open Sesame® Soluble Fertilizer (5-45-19) - For starting 12/12

2. Beastie Bloomz® Soluble Fertilizer (0-50-30) - For 2 weeks of middle growth, after stretch

3. Cha Ching® Soluble Fertilizer (9-50-10) - For the last weeks up through harvest.

The thing about the third product is this:

Cha Ching® is a high-phosphorus fertilizer that won’t leave a salty residue or build up in the soil.

So allegedly, when it comes to chemical fertilizers, they KNOW what makes the weed taste like shit, and left it out of the end phase product?

I used all of these last time, except for the first one, the only difference is, I am using twice as much, and none of the "Big Bloom". I am thinking that I can scrap the "Tiger Bloom" also and just use the powders, because I have a lifetime supply of them, and no money.

The only reason I bring up any of this, is because of the Jackberry F2 - I want to be able to taste berry. Fruit tasting weed is new for me...the only time I've tasted anything that didn't taste like weed, was GDP through a vape, and it tasted like grape pop.

I am thinking Jackberry F2 is the perfect beginner's weed...if you can convince them that there will be a 3x stretch. The plant grows quickly, and clones like magic. The smell of it...it smells like nothing, not even the stems...the leaves smell like candy if you rub them; you could grow this with no scrubber IMHO. <--- Something a lot of new people do, right before they get busted because of the stench.

Budswell is basically Bat Guano and some other stuff. Adding budswell has improved both the taste and the smell of my weed. More than Floralicious and more than Liquid Karma. Blueberry tastes like Blueberries etc. Also when you pick determines flavor. Pure Kush at 11 weeks had a much more pronounced flavor than being picked at 9 weeks.Flushing helps with the smoothness of the smoke. Flavor is in the genes and what you feed the plant to bring it out.

That's my experience. I think with the right soil mix, one wouldn't have to add much at all.

Clepter, I have been useing the FF line up for over a year now and I'll tell you that you want to keep the big bloom in. The tiger bloom is a toss up but keep the bat guano and earthworm castings (big bloom)in there. I have cut the liquid ferts in half from thier recomended dosage and use the bloom nutes (powdered) minimum recomended. In a 5 galon pot I feed only one time at each stage of bloom and just water wih plain ol tap water ph'd at 6.0 to 6.5... 1 week before bloom I feed open sesame along with the tiger and big bloom. then after the 2nd week of flower I feed the beastie blooms with the grow big, tiger and big bloom along with some blackstrap molasses. Then in two more weeks I feed the tiger bloom, big bloom and cha ching... Don't forget the molasses. I feed this one more time in 2 or 3 weeks depending on how they look and then 5 days before harvest I flood the crap out of the soil with plain r/o water and water no more till harvest.

My nugg is sticky and dank with a sweet aroma and smooth as silk smoke... I love Fox Farm.

Here you can get a copy of thier feeding schedule but cut the dosages in half exept for the bloom nutes (O.S., B.B., C.C.). Add in 1 tblsp per gal of molasses and you're set bro. My yields increased when I cut them back.

I am growing the JB F2 now and I am getting ready to take cuttings so I can sex them. I think they should be ready this weekend to take cuts from.

I too use the FoxFarm line of Open Sesame, Beastie Blooms and Cha Ching , along with Bio Bizz Bloom and Top Max. I have good results. I follow the guidelines of the FoxFarm feeding schedule. My last grow and this grow had Heri in there. Super tight buds and hell of a smoke. Next up is Aesthesia, Rebel Shack and Mixed Kushes.

The thing is, did you notice the recommended dose per gallon? 4 TABLEspoons...Liquid Karma is 1 TEAspoon per gallon. I honestly don't sell any of my stuff...perhaps I should. I might be able to find big bloom cheaper online...I don't know.

I can't even afford molasses. I used to use it all of the time, but I have found that "Cal-Mag Plus" satisfies the need for both Epsom Salt, and Molasses. My plants look like they are made out of plastic. I use 1 tsp per gallon of Cal-mag.

I am growing the JB F2 now and I am getting ready to take cuttings so I can sex them. I think they should be ready this weekend to take cuts from.

Yeah, I've seen that..they used to have a flushing product listed..it was called "Bush Doctor SledgeHammer"

Check this out: http://www.hydrofarm.com/docs/28139_FF_Feed_Hydro.pdf

Where is it? I can't find it to purchase anywhere...it sounds like Clearex. The only info I found it that it's illegal in the USA...I don't know...hearsay is hearsay.

I didn't even flush last time, and the smoke was good, but I did the same exact schedule of feeding that you did...now I am using 1/2 tsp of each powder during the specific phase it is made for, and before each watering, I "shower" the plants with tap water...pretty much flushing them each time, then I feed with the nutrients mixed into distilled water.

My primary concern was: "I used the big three chemicals last time, but also used them in conjunction with some organic products as well, and the weed was great" but "this time I'm not using organics, and I fear that my elitist "berry" flavored weed might taste like a mixture of bleach and corn chips, and I fear this...please alleviate my fears"...

So far, that's two +'s for worm castings improving taste...I did forget to mention that I mixed light-warrior into the dirt this time...it has worm castings in it, but so does liquid karma. I feel better now...I think...

JohnLocke,

Thanks...I can't believe I forgot to mention the smell of The Mask...It smells like a chipper that has just disposed of 1000 christmas trees...like the most dank Northern Lights ever, with a hint of g13 pine/spice. I can't believe that those seeds were only a limited run. Perhaps people didn't like the longer flowering time (9-12 weeks)? I was afraid of freaking out on KO Kush, but after touching and smelling these ladies, I feel kind of silly. I'm not even going to TRY and smoke any until I see someone else do it first - I am not at all compatible with sativas.

Gerdi,

I'll check out Top Max...I've never even heard of it.

What up Clepter!!! Yo, the KO I am rollin right now tastes like lemons, Very Nice!!! :D

Hey man...did you post pictures of it? I didn't see it anywhere. Point the way!

Update:

TM & JB: 32 Days Into 12/12

KO: 35 Days Into 12/12

I watered the plants today, and was blown away by the JackBerry F2... The Beastie Bloomz is really feeding the trichome development. The Heri is only into day 27 of 12/12...so there's nothing really to look at there.

Let's start with the KO Kush F1...it's really putting on weight:

gallery_1057_627_44028.jpg

As always KO has some big trichomes:

gallery_1057_627_216067.jpg

Here is a shot of The Mask...its buds are much more thick and dense than any of the other plants...I can really see the herijuana in it:

gallery_1057_627_219059.jpg

Damn...this Jackberry sure is frosty...what the hell?

gallery_1057_627_557340.jpg

GOD! What's going on with this Jackberry!? This is only 32 days into 12/12...it seems a little potent to me...I never thought of Jackberry as being a trichome freak, but here it is, and this one looks like it's going to turn purple as well:

gallery_1057_627_640116.jpg

All of these plants are blowing me away, but the Jackberry was really a surprise for me. Good job on the F2's Sannie, damn!
