Killing Fields ~ Cheeseberry Haze ~ Amesia-Cheese - NYCD

Recommended Posts

Hi to all the opengrower fellows,

Ok, ok men, Yet Another F* Grow Report

The Place : Elysian Fields

"... a paradisical-and-struck-by-lightning land of plenty, where the dead hoped to spend eternity ..."

The Race : Killing Fields

"... a paradisical-and-struck-by-HID-lightning brand of plenty, where the dread dropped down to reach eternity high..."

The Pale Face : a medium-experienced grower

A lover of bliss, felicity and delight. Everything i can find with just a poke of sweet smoke. Life is as simple sometimes ...

So here are coming the few first steps of nowadays, not the more sexy ones, but as i sign in this forum, the sweetness of fruits own the bitterness of the rooting period :P

So in less than a week, i send cash and received goods by return. Killing Fields F2, and some NYCD , Lowryder, and for sure the Mixed Kush freebees.

Like i want to "brrrreeeed"(:phear:) my own F3, i just plant as only regular the 10 Killing Fields for this session. I will grow also few feminized seeds from other seed companies i want to pollinate with the best KF male i will grow from this bunch. But this report will be only about the Killing Fields F2

The beginning :

Thank you Mister Postman

Adding the Sannie's Bacto in the water

The water soaking the pitpots, the seeds vaginally introduced in the pitpots, the pitpots in an ice cream box for 96 hours of darkness@ 24°C/75%RH

After 4 days (96 hours)

Certainly 12 hours less would have been better.

Day #0

The pitpots transplanted in Plagron Grow-Mix, containers of half-liter. Straight to a little seedling location (60cm x 35cm x 60cm), under a 125W MG @ 6400°K.

I water the dirt few hours before i transplant the pitpots, only once with Bio-Nova Roots, about 75ml of a PH 6.5 rain water for deeply and fully soaking the medium of each container. No more watering for the next 5 to 7 days, maybe more.

What kind of lamp is MG?

I mean an Envirolite. I've two of them, each 125w, one @ 6400°K, the other Envirolite @ 2700°K. You'll find pics in my member gallery.

For flowering, i add a 600 HPS Grolux under AAW (Adjust A Wings) and a HPS 70w@1950°K (a really rare color temperature and wattage) just over my best plant.

All in 1.20 x 1.20 x 2.00 Grow Tent (1.5 meter/square - Do your own American convertion, i do not have 12 fingers to convert from metric to imperial  )

very nice selection you have there, i just received my first order and will place another very soon....

btw, there are a few of us here too....(female growers)

Oh yes you're right Shaman with our common selection, and thanks again for your welcoming words in PM just after i register few weeks ago.

Everybody have to know that this kind of woman is the kind who welcome unknown guests as friendly as if you were from her family, so great attitude when you are a newbie, with a different native language, and a bit lost. So keep going so pleasant Shaman, it is so rare nowadays . :P

I know few female growers (a little few), and always i notice that they treat differently some aspects of the culture, less "tough", like fooding & watering frequency. Quite (& quiet) a different approach than others, more mother-ness attitude (not sure this last word exists :P )

I know the light you are referring to...I just wasn't sure if MG was some kind of weird European bulb that I hadn't heard about.

more mother-ness attitude (not sure this last word exists  )

It does now. You should contact the user "fost"...I imagine he has a lot of new language to share with you. :P

Pretty sure i will love the KF . And I want some colours !

i think i will begin flowering at about 3 weeks, certainly in one bud. I can still change my mind, i will see. I want to have a final height of 60 to 90cm (2 to 3 feet), the best size to manage for the room i have.

Hi,

Some people could think that It is due to a cold night, but it isn't, i let them 24h/24h under 125 w ( 24hours for heat reason, i can not manage more than 10°C/50°F @ night in this room). Under the CFL lamp, i stand between 24° & 26° (75/78F). But from today i will begin to move them few hours a day in the flowering room, where there is a 600 HPS and a 125W CFL . It is more effective than 125w CFL only, the one i use for the other 12 hours.

Just for the beauty of the plants, some pictures of the session i will harvest in about 20 days , so it should be perfect timing for the little Killing Fields. The report will be more interesting in the beginning of 2009 (two thousand and nine ... Pfff, i remember when ! was a teen, around the 80's, we where thinking year 2000 was Sci-Fi, and so so far ... :D :) :D

Hello my friends,

Here comes a little update.

So, it is Day #7 and i repot from half-liter to 2 liters, in All-mix Biobizz. Roots are white and healthy like they must be.

gallery_992_508_51736.jpg

I have discarded one of them : I spoke to her a couple of days ago, face-to-face : " your got 48 hours to show your potential baby, otherwise ....". She doesn't listen to me, so tomorrow, an euthanasia is scheduled :grinning_respect:

gallery_992_508_122227.jpg

And the other 8 Killing Fields in their new bed :

gallery_992_508_305421.jpg

gallery_992_508_394168.jpg

Still about 2 weeks to go before 12/12.

Hi Hupla ( :specool Prosper, hupla-boom, he is the king of gingerbread :punk: , Prosper Hupla-boom, he's the darling of the Ladies :rtfm: ... Don't worry Hupla, just a very old french folk song, your nickname hupla is a funny onomatopoeia for us which's meaning a kind of "Baby happy jump")

So lets register or trademark Euthanasia as a future strain name :P

If Killing Fields is not strong enough to kill us for hours, have a try with Euthanasia ®

I still have 9 KF, and also 10 other strains (all feminized) to complete my room with about 15 to 20 plants during flowering stage. In this seeds, there is Neville's Haze, Super Silver Haze, Strawberry Haze, Hawaïan Snow and other good Sativas and indicas. I want to pollinate them with my best KF male (Only a little bit, on the lower branch of each selected plant, i will add pollen with a little brush ) .

Hi Reallate1,

Thx for coming and posting a comment. Ye you are right, it is not my first grows, but i still can ruin an harvest with sometimes stupid actions, the kind you make at 3 AM completely drunk or/and high, thinking to got "THE" solution and doing silly experiences :oeps

Some of my actuals buds, day 47, last feeding tonight with Green Sensation, and after, 10 to 15 days of cleaning with rain water and enzyms.

A Jack Flash ( the 5/6 buds centered are from the same plant)

gallery_992_499_104496.jpg

The senescence just begin to show the end of the flower boost, the hardest is past, what is done couldn't be re-done, so i just have to rinse properly and wait for trichomes to tan 30 to 50% . I prefer deeply to be high than stoned, but both are pleasant and needed, just like White and red Wine (Red wine, like Indicas, push you into your sofa, white wine like sativas, pull you out of the sofa :grinning_respect:

And some Silver Haze, i continue a week the feeding cause i will harvest a week later this two. Picture is not so good. They are at the bottom of my box, i'm tall (6.6 - 1m95) but i haven't the arms long enough for a good macro without shaking.

Silver Haze #9 - 4 top buds of the same plant - Day 47

gallery_992_499_203443.jpg

I have a question about Orchidea. My wife bought to, one for christmas present for a friend, and the other for me. That's my first one. She is an Phalaenopsis, 1 meter tall with big and lovely flowers along the stem. How do i treat her , food, T°, photo period ? Is my 600HPS good , or my CFL 125W better ? More simple, a good link to a good orchidian specialist will help. Thx :-)

That's all for today, enjoy !

Love the plants,

I grow orchids in my house, indirect sunlight is perfect for them if you have it. They get fed orchid food once a week. You can cut them back after bloom and get 2-3 blooms a year if you have enough light. Under lights , I have no idea.

We have about 8 throughout our house. On the shady side they don't do so well, but they love being in the glow of light. I've had some 3 years or more.

The veg' will really begin from now, and the coming days will be more interesting.

I wish you a nice "Réveillon 2009", ( for me since a week from now, i have difficulty each morning to recover from the christmas nights and here comes the new year eve, argghh my body is screaming ... A joint of Super Silver Haze fix my stomachs problems, that's my medical way ...)

Hello everybody !

Day #13, 4th node was showing, so I've topped it for all my Killing Fields and leave the 3 first set . As X-mas gift, i had few thrips, coming from nowhere, and i was oblige to wait a bit to cure them. Yesterday i apply Attac Force from House & Garden in foliar application. And to day, i spray some Rhyzotonic from canna too, just after the topping. And add 70ml of water ph6.5 (2 liters pot), first irrigation since 7 days now. I used to wet by 10% of the pot volume when i pot or re-pot in the early stage, and wait for 5 to 7 days before re-watering. So roots are looking for humidity and are growing more longer and deeper.

gallery_992_508_398910.jpg

gallery_992_508_612287.jpg

In the night room for 12 hours with CFL (125 w x 2, one blue, one red) + (1x18w) + (1x20w), with some other strains. Easy to recognize Killing Fields from the bunch. As i told before, I'm in a 24/0 cycle, due to the night temperature under 10° otherwise. During daytime, they go to the flowering chamber under a 600w HPS, to wich i add the CFL's . It's a little work, but it is just for the 2 upcoming weeks, i'm waiting the harvest of the ending session.

gallery_992_508_135357.jpg

gallery_992_508_661692.jpg

In fact, i let a chance to my dear Euthanasia and didn't kill her, just let her quiet in a little pot :grinning_respect:

She's still dwarfing, but with much better leaves and health, so i will keep her. May be i will veg her for the next couple of month and let her flower in March/April in outdoor, and become a Guerillera Monstrosity. Time will tell how i'll treat her :specool

gallery_992_508_364239.jpg

And my babies, i begin to flush for a week to 10 days, I'm a bio grower (I try to be as possible), and taste, quality, innocuity are the rules for me. Leaves began to yellowing, fine, fine, just a matter of time ... (I just do have only 10 grammes left of my previous harvest ...)

gallery_992_499_247287.jpg

Stay greened ;-)
