Simi Valley, California - 2MAR05

I took these pictures of a TORNADO forming...

On the last picture, it spun out of the sky and came for me - and then I ran for my life. It never touched down though...

A TORNADO in SIMI VALLEY...CALIFORNIA....

It was like seeing MEXICANS in ALASKA.

Does anyone else remember it? Not a single person paid attention...no one noticed - and this is why I moved away...

We do Clepter around the same time there was some actual tornados that touch down in the City of Commerce in Southern Cal in LA County and most recently we have had tornados in Inglewood and Riverside in 2008 brother.

Sending good vibes your way!!!!!

I recall being kicked out of Disney Land a couple of decades ago because of the double whammy of too much rain (walking around up to mid shin in water) and multiple small tornados touching down near there. Crazy weather does happen in California. It's just not as common as other places. Thankfully.

Anyone from the midwest would have been running from that sort of cloud formation for sure. Neat capture.

Neat additions all around. Helps to have something of wonder to share.

Thanks all,

O_S

Great pics all. Seeing as I live in a concrete jungle my garden is important to me so here`s a few pics of it to share. If anyone knows what type of squash I`m growing Id be mighty grateful if they'd tell me. Enjoy all.

Thanks brother E$ko!!! Happy you enjoy my friend and thank you for sharing your beautiful pics with us. The planes reminded me of seeing the blue angels as a kid..what a sight to see.

I love the nature shots and the french alps very much! I want to go there!! I'll be coming out that way at the end of the year :) I'm going to be in france first and then maybe hop the train north with a lovely friend ;) Look forward to smoking some herb with you folks when we get up there if we get the chance :)

I want to experience that european Aloha Siprit that I have been told about many times :)

Great shots jwf :) I wish I could tell you what kind of squash that is..the color and the bumps remind me of "bitter melon" but I could be Wrong. Its more rounded then bitter melon..more like a egg plant while the bitter melon grows to a point that I've seen.

Maybe some will chime in that recognizes it.

Another passion of mine is cooking..I love it!!

A member of another site named Rosso Reefo was kind enough to share his pizza dough recipe and we absolutely love it! It is so simple and the ingredients are measure all out in grams :)

He gave me the blessing of sharing it here but I will make sure as he has done a lot of the trial and error stuff. I have hooked all my friends into making there own pizza via his dough recipe and it comes out great at a fraction of the cost at the restaurant.

I will make a tutorial later from dough to pan to oven and then to plate.

Here is one I made the other day :) You can put anything you want on it as it is a blank canvas. If you are adventurous you can put some dry sift hash on there before cooking :) It does get ya going ;)

This one has tomato sauce, spinach, red onions, mozzarella and crispy bacon pieces I fried up in a pan ;)

As far as that picture of the pizza you posted Island that is just plain cruel. Now I'm craving one.

Fellas, great pictures. I am truly digging that Orange Butterfly and that pizza looks just like a pizza I had in Rome a few years back :)

Esko, you have some great skills with the camera as well. Loving the alps, and the path through the forest.

The asaf was offered the Tornado as late as 1990 as an F-4G replacement, only few.

They only still use some for airshows, the american army uses F15 fighters. Home made answer.

But u are right, these planes are homebased by the britisch, german en italian airforces.

The only one real export country was saoudi arabia.

The F-15 currently carries the amraam while the tornado caries the skyflash ( a modified aim7 sparow)

Both are very nice to see flying. The F15 is more manouverable and cheaper/easier to maintain.

Rafale, Saab Gripen, B1, B2, B52, F15, F16, Migs, sukhoi, Thunderbolt, Raptors, ... are a real pleasure to see and hear them flying.

The fastest bike or car cant even touch these kinds of power.

GREAT PICS SAXO, that moonshot is superb.

On the countryside of germany and south italie these trabant cars still driver.

There is also a very famous 3 wheel version, funny to see.

just got back from California, Indoor Gardening Expo San Francisco.

We had a beach house south of San Franciso, great view.

Already checked out the local restaurants, had dinner at Sam's chowder house

The trade show

Our wheels to the GH party (a limo can be less expensive than a taxi in San Francisco :))

post-59-1281195241_thumb.jpg

Second day of the trade show is open to the general public. I was already warned about what was going to happen but seeing it with your own eyes is certainly different. I call it:

The big grab

Here is how it works. You buy a $10 ticket with a few mates and go by all the booths that give valuable samples. Nutrients, propagators, soil amendments, inoculants, anything you can get your hand on, all the weight you can carry. You go back to the car to store that stuff and go back in. Repeat this 5 times and then spend an evening behind the pc to put it all on e-bay. If you are affraid they will run out of samples soon, have your own little depot somewhere at the trade show (or even on someones booth) to have some temporary buffer storage for your operation. Have someone guard your property at all times of course.

People yelling and begging for T-shirts...

post-59-1281195388_thumb.jpg

I have seen people go in in wheelchairs and go out walking behind completely stuffed wheelchairs full of goodies. I'm not kidding! Kids had to walk because mummy stuffed their stroller with samples.

It was good to spend a day with Ed, a much more peaceful place: His Garden

post-59-1281196132_thumb.jpg

We visited Harborside health center and had the complete tour, very impressive. Then a quicky to The Buldog and to Oaksterdam University.

An afternoon left to visit San Franciso. More luck next time :). So hang around in China Town for a bit.

I don't know what it is now Whazzup but at one time parking was the biggest money generator in San Fransisco. It appears you had a nice trip. The bay area is about my favorite area, but far from reflective of the rest of the USA.

yes, had a great time and I think in many cities parking is a huge money generator, it is certainly in Amsterdam: revenues were €131 million in 2009

Excellent hoard Whazzup. I thought I was a good blagger but those goodies put my small heap from the UK expo to shame. Hope you do wonderful things with them. Heres a few pics of my friends enjoying the ambience. Taken in the UK and Nepal.
