DreamOfGreen 1,916 Report post Posted February 5, 2011 thank you,AMA. thank you, Sticky. I’m very proud of my girls. I’ve grown out some nice plants before but nothing that’s looked nearly as sweet as this run. It’s the first time I made the organic soil the way I did and the first time I’ve used the eco friendly shopping bags. I’ll be doing some with hydro in the future but I’m defntly sticking with the organic soil as well.

DreamOfGreen 1,916 Report post Posted February 6, 2011 Thank you for the compliments everyone, I really appreciate them. Now that I’m living back in the ‘great’ white north I usually get mild seasonal depression, something I inherited from my father, and tend to get moody and grumpy. Thanks to having my dog, whose now 16 months old, and these girls, this winter has been ok. Eskobar - It’s always great to hear from you, I hope you’re doing great things in your new digs. Sometime in the future I hope to do runs of your Chocolate Rain and Blueberry Sativa. Hydroponics isn’t new to me but I’m gonna wait ‘till I have somewhere to grow that has better climate control. I’m confident I can get a bigger yield and maybe reduce the time but it’ll be interesting to see if I can get the same quality. Joker - the LSD is Barney’s Farm YoVato - gladly. Ocean Forest : 60 scoops (about 3 1/4gallons) Happy Frog : 60 scoops (about 3 1/4gallons) Worm Castings: 30 scoops (about 1 3/4 gallons) Dr. Earth Bat Guano 10-3-1 : 1 scoops Jamaican Bat Guano : 1 scoops Espoma Garden Manure 4-2-2 : 2 scoops Espoma Blood 12-0-0 : 2 scoops Chickity Doo Doo 5-3-2.5 : 2 scoops Cottonseed Meal 5-2-1 : 2 scoops Fish Bone Meal 3-18-0 : 2 scoops garden lime : 4 tbs. epson salt : 2 tbs. Added roots organics Oregonism and watered well. Mix and mix and mix. keep warm. I let this batch 6 weeks, stirring once or twice a week. I add sweet , hygrozyme and botanicare cal/mag in every 2nd or 3rd watering and EJ meta k every 3rd or 4th watering. For setting up the bags the bottom inch is volcanic rocks, then about a 3 inch layer of super soil straight, then 3 inch of super soil mixed 1 to 1 with potting soil, then 3 inch 1 to 3 and the rest potting soil. If anyone doesn’t know, the bags are made of the same material as landscaping fabric, poly-something or other, so roots grow though and get air pruned. NoName 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2011 damn that indica dom cbh is looking fantastic! hope i can get that pheno.. how does she smell?
DreamOfGreen 1,916 Report post Posted February 7, 2011 Their’s such a big difference between the two CBHs, if I didn’t know they came from the same pack of seeds I would think they were different strains altogether. I’m anxious to find out if their effect will be as different as their appearance. I could be wrong but I think the sativa leaning is much more common so I’m really glad to have the indica pheno. Honestly I can’t tell you what the one plant smells like on it’s own, my grow space is a box I built that is in a metal building that’s not heated so it’s usually only a couple degrees warmer than it is outside. And the temperature has mostly been in the single digits (Fahrenheit). I have two electric heaters plugged into a thermostat but the room still get’s down in the low 40s when the light’s off. All the girls together smell amazing, delicious earthy tones with mild exotic spices with just a hint of skunkyness. As Borat would say ‘Very nice, I a’ like very much.’ -DOG

DreamOfGreen 1,916 Report post Posted February 26, 2011 Thank you for the compliments everyone, I’m very happy and proud of my girls. “These snowed fan leaves are begging to be ice-o-lated.” - e$kob@r Yes, yes they are. And as luck would have it I just got new silk screen mesh to make hash-buckets with. Anyone know if there’s a thread here for DIY hash- buckets? If not I might take the time to make one. I think they’re easier and less messy than bags and cost a fraction of what the bags do. I’m almost out of smoke so it’s a really good thing these are getting near done. The big step up in quality is going to be awesome! Their smell is overpowering the carbon filter, making me a little anxious but I think I’m ok. I’m doing me best to be patient but it’s hard. Misterdirt 11,962 Report post Posted March 1, 2011 This is the first time I've looked at the posts below the POTM posts. Looks fantastic, DoG. How's the yield on the Hericules?
DreamOfGreen 1,916 Report post Posted March 1, 2011 Thanks Misterdirt, glad u found it. I’m just guessing but I think I’ll have a little more than an ounce each plant. Considering the short veg time and the temperature fluctuations they’ve been through I’m very pleased with their performance and impressed with their vigor. With better conditions and proper training I could easily imagining them yielding 2 or 3 times what I’ll get this run. Gives me a fun goal to aim for.
