Emperors haze,, the quest

Recommended Posts

This summer i did some x's just 4 fun,,,,for private pleasure and some to share.

I used a Jack herer male i found in a old sensi batch (pre euro era)

It pollinated a small SFV og kush and a C5 haze lady.

Both x's gave kinda dissapointing ammounts of beans,,,perhaps due to bad timing and a bad summer (tho they had a nice dry spot)

I now popped 60 of the C5 x jack herer…………hoping that perhaps a nice pheno or 2 will pop up

58 came up within 48 hours ,,,,,i dropped 2 ,so total score atm = 56 little ones .

20 or so will go to a close buddy,,,who will monitor progression 4 me

While i helped the small ones into pots with soil,i finally came up with a name for the X:

EMPERORS HAZE…………think i pay my respect to both strains i used this way

What am i looking for??

Well, first of all,,i wanna see what this x will show

A "fast" pheno would be cool but a true haze pheno is even more my goal…….perhaps even a nice male to make a F2 version. No quest for sofisticated scents or tastes,,,i want die hard haze to cough on .......... back to hazic highs

Suspected flowertime will be above 12 weeks,,,,,,most will be round 14 weeks i think.

The C5 can go 15 / 16 weeks if she feels good,,,,and the female jacks i had in the batch all did 12 weeks +

They are still under t5 ,,,,taking it slow,,,since i have some other plants in my flowercab that needed a bit of recovering.

When time is ripe,,they will join a pollinated dabney blu girl in that cab (blu chocolat in the making )

The male used in that x = a chocolat rain male (esko's work )

The first batch of blu chocolat i made to test mainly went to buddy's in South Africa,,,but for some reason one large batch never reached The african soil

I still hope to see some of the results from over there,,,tho some other continents have had the pleasure allready 2.

If anyone is interested i will pop up some links of the testgrows when they emerge on the net.

Well,wish me luck pics ASAP

Hi Hupla,

Yes i am very interested to collect these beans to.

Linking to the testgrow is a good start.

Nice work hupla, the C5 is very exclusive weed to work with.

Also harder cause of the longer flowering time.

This precious takes time.

Looking forward to give my comments on this smoke. I know both parents.

Nice to see this selection from beginning till end, what's the set-up they'll be in? I wish you the best of luck finding the one

I'm also interested in the Blu Chocolate testgrows

I like the name already, sounds promising :engel

Hehe, Hup, reviving the good old haze lines? :D

You can be sure I'll be around for this one...though I never had the chance to smoke the C5, I know it was considered one of the best haze with (or just slightly under quality) A5...and you know my love for A5 :D .

See ya (very) soon.

Peace out & take care.

i love the old haze lines. but i think its the type of mindset ppl adopt when dealing with these not so easy to grow plants that makes them into the mythical creatures uphold them as. With haze lines you will see breeding being dominated by sativa shaped stinky plants that will pass on long flowering times, sometimes airy buds, and a certain wild unmanagableness. The high and taste are the key factors to most peoples breeding of the hazes. If we had to use the same breeding practices on other good pure genetic lines im sure you'd get similar results. cant wait to see the pics Hup! come now !

Indeed, but that reminds me I just had the same this run, with some femmed seeds called Claustrum, wich is a cross of Jack Herer, SSH and Kali Mist. Supposed to smell like "cathedral incense" :D .

First leaves looked very wide, but after a few sets, they started to get narrower (mostly haze looking by now). Might be the Skunk or NL's genes causing that, though I never have grown O.Haze from seeds, so I can't be sure.

Peace out & take care.

They arent really fed anything,,,the soil i use now while repotting often, will have enough in it i guess,,,,

I did overwater some a time or 2....and they have had one or 2 cold nights.

1 is tossed cause of strange leafs ,,,5 are behind in growing since they were in a experiment with a led panel (experiment failed B) )

These 5 will serve as back up then.

Still amazed by leafshape of most

Printed stickers to give a number 2 all baby's.

Good news is: they dont have to share room with the dab

will pop in some other genetics to fill the gab,,,,if there is any

(have some antique neville clones that i never seen mature )

thnx G2H :)

Oi Bod m8,,,,

The A5 and C5 hazes are selected offspring outta a x done way back then

Haze beans were popped and the A and C were males,,,,,,,,these pollinated the NL#5 ,,,creating A5 and C5 beans :)

I dont wanna mingle in any story or discussion going on on the WWW ,,but i grew up with the A5 diesel pheno as one of my best friends......she a haze that stands on her own in the cannaxy.

greets :)
