Hello ,

Me and Friend are planing to put all these beans I compulsively bought into flowers.

Friend is a loooong time friends (about 18 years) and smoking is really something we have no will to quit.

So after seeing the results (outdoor) of my first try , he decided to go indoor last year, for one year we have been toying with AK 48 from nirvana (these were cheap , and i didn't want to lose good genetics).

Now we feel is the time to get a bit more serious, the last two years I've bought

Vanilla Sky2012 001

*Amnesia Haze x G13 Haze

*Caramel Cough

*Killing Fields

*Blue Hammer

*Chocolate Rain

*Chocolate mix

*Vanilla Sky

*Chucky's Bride

*Holy Princess

*Killing Field x Katsu cut

*Sour Diesel x Blueberry

*Killa Queen X Blue Hammer

We would like to test all these in the next year or so, my cab is not ready yet , but the dimensions are known.

Friend's cab is inside a Pax wardrobe from Ikea.

Flowering part

-2 x 150 w HPS

- 95cm (wide) 55 (depth) 1.20m (height)

- Carbon Scruber

- 380m3/h rvk

Veg part

-80 cm height same width and lenght

- 150 w TN

My cab should be ready around Halloween, dimensions are about the same, a bit wider (105cm), deeper (58cm) and a total height of 250 cm with 4x30w T8(?) in the Veg part and 8x24w (2 times 4x24 really) in the flowering part.

I hope to make 52 updates (once a week) to document the grow of these little babies.

This round will be in soil (plagron light and royal mix), but i hope to switch to coco and passive hydro next time (dirt is ....dirty and we do have a social and familly life ).

Before showing (drumroll) , who was choosen first , I would like to thank Sannie, I've had once a germination problem on one pack and another time with the post and suffice to say the man didn't let me down:o) so thanks again and if you are gifted something..the less you can do is share.

Update 1: The Choice (FLo + 7)

In the words of the man himself

Thank u for the feedback.

Vanilla Sky is vanilla with haze, and u describe it like i have experienced it.

Its like u would open a fresh vanilla stick and smell it, next to a bag of not aggresive haze.(not catpiss or lambsbreath kind of haze, more citrus haze.)

Very smooth, very soft.

The high is like a airplane that takes of.

They flower average from 10 to 12 weeks,

the EARLIER she is ready, the more vanilla will be in it.

Grdz e$ko,

Our first ladies will be Vanilla Skies ...

Beans sprouted in 48h inside moist Demak'up tissue (I have two girls and one wife ).

Vanilla Sky2012 002

They have spent three weeks in tiny tiny pots (0.3 or 0.2l) then we transfered them in one liter pots were they are sitting since 3 weeks.

We use the Atami bLOOMBASTIC (ridiculous) box.

Atami Starter Box Bloombastic Soil

1 Liter Terra Leaves fertilizer Growth

1 Liter Terra Max fertilizer Bloom

250 ml Bloombastic Bloom Booster

100 ml Root-C

100 ml Atazyme

This is the end of the first week of bloom at the end of the week 2 , the females will go into 6l pots, we have to water them everyday in these 1l pots now.

It's crappy picture time, but I was high and when I finally acted and tried to take pictures , the lights went off(night) .

Update 2 : 16th day of 12/12

Hi again , as promised , some news of my Cruises and Cruzes.

what a selection, beautiful breeding, monster budss to come lets hope.

good luck ,,,, i pop back to read soon.

best reggards

Well I have no merit here, the ones who did the real work are Sannie and co :o)

Me, I just hope to treat their creations in an honourable way .

Thank you for participating in this modest thread.

Vanilla Sky sounds like a good choice to me. Good luck.

Sounds good to me too , only the 12-13 weeks of flowering time + the 7-8 weeks of curing are not looking sexy :likken: , understand that the most important thing I learned I my life before becoming a father is that a Prison Break is better than a Lost :wtf2: .

When a TV show bomb it’s better when it bombs early like Prison Break ( I stopped caring around the middle of the second season  ) than to be sucked into believing you are watching a masterpiece and then that masterpiece becoming the televisual equivalent of a fully hermied plant. For me the black smoke “ was a giant hermy :shifty: .

Back to topic…..

The good news is that they all showed sex between day 13 and 14 of 12/12. :punk:

The bad news is that there wasn’t enough space available in Friend’s cab (it’s 90x48 or so) to keep all Cruzes (8/10); so four ladies and the two boys went together to the bin and yes we did keep clones but they have not rooted yet .

Maintaining a good climate with the weather we have now in Belgium is a bliss , we are mainly toying with the mistmaker to find the perfect on / off cycle.

F13 014

I must add that the cheapo timer from Gamma we were using to regulate the mist went crazy on us and had to be returned.

With Friend (he does exist, a voice speaking in my head he is not!) , we decided- well I convinced him anyway- to test passive hydro.I went to Hydrobox and bought one 10l Bato Bucket, some coco and perlite plus the Hypro Hydro starter kit .

The reservoir is filled with perlite , with coco (Plagron) above and one last layer of perlite (half cm or so).I’m curious, never done hydro and I did not found a lot of information on growing “hempy bucket” style with Bato bucket, but it should work , right?

F13 006

The 3 other “Cruzes “ are in 6.5l pot with plagron light mix, we will continue to follow the Atami schedule @ minimum strength.

F13 015

There is not a lot to see on the pictures as we are not in “hard bud porn “ territory yet ; feels more like

well you get the idea it’s like vegetative growth time (with spices) .

See you next week

(If you got children, I apologize if I did put some random stupid Dora song in your head…been there done that yet Mrs and I still made the second girl 4 month ago, you’ll forget soon enough).

by the way ….THE SCROG NET IS ON !Here is hoping for some serious stretching (pictures...within 4 hours)

Massive, massive brain cramp!

We were planing on putting 6 females into flower. Our 11l pots were too big to be six and we choose to uses 6 x 6.5l pots.

Then on monday, it was obvious that with the mist maker and the windblower, that would be two too many.

Normal people :spliff: , would have then upgraded to 4 x 11l pots ....

+Warning+ cannabis WILL make you dumb ....dooh :wtf2: .

Thank you for making me realise this (the sarcasm is really directed towards me :fish: )

As promised ladies and gentlemen...the scrog net

Update 3 : Day 20 of 12/12

Not much to say except that the one plant in coco didn't die wich is a good new.

Roots have already reached the bottom of the 6.5l pots and i hope roots have reached the reservoir of the bato pot too.

We are still feeding the girls lightly (1ml / l of terra max+3ml / l ata zyme ;1.5ml /l hypro a and b f for the coco) .

Buds seems to grow faster in coco but it is still early .

Stretch is on! For those who have experience in growing vanilla sky , how many weeks of stretch do we have left?

See you next week

Update 4 : Day 27 of 12/12

Hi again ,

We managed to save a clone of the 8 ladies , so no losses.

Due to an 8:2 female : male ratio a second run of Vanilla Sky will be a necessity .

The one on the front=right has had the most explosive stretch- to date- , she has significatively outgrown the three other girls although "bud growth"seem to be more advanced on the front left girl (underfed I think (N?) ).

I think two of these would fill Friend's screen.

Lights are 15 cm above canopy, and have not moved for three weeks.

Still a lot of green to be seen :showoff: , lot of work to be done.

Some pictures

Everything is fine, not much to say we upped the dosis of nutrient becuse of some yellowing on the leaves.

I really like the look of them ladies.

The growth these last 20 days was great and for a first experience with sativas I'm happy withe the canopy uniformity and height manangement.

Some pictures of the cuttings in veg.

Day 56 : Crappy Camera

We really like Coco as a substrate , it is less messy.

I'm sorry about the quality of the pictures as my camera doesn't work at the moment.

My Ipod will do the trick as long as i don't have another option.

You can't really see it on the picture but some colas are doing great , if someone with experience in growing Vanilla Sky could tell me how long they will continue to fatten.

Today we also made cuttings of the 4 vanilla sky that will be flowered around christhmas.

Everytime i touch the flowers my hands are greasy , sounds good to me :icecream:

Encore three weeks till Sinterklaas. :jump:

See you next week

Do you cut the little sugar leaves as well?

Looking at the girls I was thinking that there wont be much to trim

Your plants look excellent:

However the red pants are killing me unless you are Santa Clause

First thing first these pants are Friend's pants...i would not dare to wear such ...whatever  :oeps :no

Two this is funny on another level because , in some ways I am a "Santa Claus" but you wont get more information about it because of security issue.

Third, to be honnest , my visit to Friend was not planed , and he was awake for about 10 min when I crash trough his wake and bake .

He is heavilly medicated due to a back hernia and maybe just maybe they shoul put a warning on meds that would read

"These pills could lead you to wear shiny red pants "

Last update for that first run of Vanilla Sky.

They were cut yesterday.

Finger Hash was off the chart.

We smoked it at 00:00, went to bed at 0300 am ...too racy  after that...a real sativa hash brain burnout . :mobile:

We could do a pre- smoke report around the New year.

Until then we will veg the second batch of Vanilla Sky (We had 8 ladies) wich will be put on 12/12 mid january , the clones are rooting right now.

Our hands were sticky as hell , but beside that the manucure itself altough boring was "easy". The bud to leaf ration was great, the plants were really shiny under lightning and we hope it is a sign of great things to come .

never before has one man grown so much, with so little space, in so little time.

Your grow is an amazing combination of tons of strains, the tiniest cabinet, and amazing plant training!

Holy Christmas! I bet you put in more effort per gram than anyone with that amazing training and those awesome bonsais!

I think they should send you up to the space station to continue these experiments!

Vanilla Sky 12/12 since 19th february

Everything is ok , one pheno looks like the more indica of the eight we got.

In the veg space Anesthesia are coming along nicely , we should take cuts on sunday, to prepare the next run in cab A

Big surprise...Cab B should be fully operational within three weeks !

I decided to pop some beans to celebrate.

First the outdoor girls

Then some exotic cheese to test run my cab

That's it for now, the next few days I will try to set up my outdoor blumat + 5gal smartpots + sannies tab + bacto + Myco + lombric compost.
