Robo's Outdoor Adventure 2013

Recommended Posts

Starting early on the report as I have lots to do

first I have to redo my indoor flower room as I have had issues since last December (2012)

second I have to get some mother plants going so that I can have some clones for this years outdoor grow, sex them out and such.

So I'll just make one long thread from now till harvest. It might be a long wait

for buds, but I enjoy growing and have plenty of medicine in jars and bags..should last until then.

Grow room redo..

I found some of the issues that I was having was with the plumbing line having some crap built up.

gallery_6278_3609_45995.jpg

I decided to get rid of everything plastic, I've already trashed the 10gal buckets, the resivior and all the delivery lines.

I bought a 36" x 36" x 7" ebb and flow tray, so my options are open to flood and drain, bottom feed, wick system, or just drip to waste. It should help my back out some as this will be less maintenance than the buckets (which were somewhat easy). I had to cut 1/2 inch off the sides so the tray would fit, cover some of the old plumbing holes, etc...

These are the strains I have so far and I will add some over the next few months. I need to find some keeper Mothers from this lot so I will have room for the next choosing of Mother plants.

5 - Herijuana - Sannie 1 runt

3 - Eye of Rah - SourSeedCo free 2 runts

3 - Orange Pearl - SourSeedCo

2 - Big Buddha Cheese -

6 - Drizella - Dynasty Seeds

8 - Selene - Sannie

2 - Big Buddha Cheese - Big Buddha Seeds feminized

2 - Nemesis clones - Seedsman Seeds female

6 - Black Domina - Sensi Seeds clones female

note: the runts were my fault as I put them in the rapid rooters upside down.. lol

Here they are in their new home under a 430 hps.

Right on robo, your builds are so practical and solid. Going from DWC, you're going to own flood and drain. What foods are you going with for this setup?

All the best,

RM

Rev for now I'm just trying to go light on the ferts with this miracle grow coir that already has some added, plus the slower growth, compared to any hydro, fits my schedule. Hand water for now.. the tray in the clone room adjusted with only a slight leaf tip burn(florescent), while the ones in the tray (2 x 150 hps) showed a little more burn on the lower leaves.

When I get around to an actual grow with 2-3 weeks veg and then flower to bud... I'll stay with General H, Lucas formula

Going from DWC, you're going to own flood and drain.

It's all the same to me if you use inert medium like clay or rockwool etc. bubble in the bucket or bubble the tank, with a recirculating system it all gets aerated and mixed..all the time.

the miracle grow coir seems ok, I wish that there were no added ferts..next time I'll send some $$ on shipping for a few bricks.

the double pots allowed for roots to make it to the bottom pot in just two weeks..same with the larger 1 gal pot.

Nice clean room you have here dude, also - nice selection of strains you have! :)

personally i find just clay pebbles to be best when using flood and drain. Coco pots tend to stay wet a lot longer so you dont need to flood and drain as often. Which in turn means you wont be sucking in as much fresh air as you would if using pebbles alone. :)

Also Lavie, you know if you dont grow that little sneaky one out it will probably be the best weed you've never grown.... Sod's Law dude

Hi Robo,

I have a question about the double pot, how do you depot them ? You break the pot ?

I have some heavy duty scissors that I just cut down the side and lay the pot on its side to gently remove the plant

trash the cheap pots. half turned out to be males so I just lifted the top pot and cut the roots.

 thanks 1-ton for the upbeat comments. My rooms are usually a little ghetto, lol. I'm not using the tray for flood and drain...yet, I just needed the flower room to veg and sex these plants. :pi_lightbulb:

Feb 10 I've topped all the known females, except 2 Big Buddha Cheese(female seed) and 2 Herijuana and 1 other waiting to show sex.

Looking good, Robo. That should be some class A outdoor stuff; you're not just chucking any old seeds out there. No males to worry about either.

Me likey. :)

not much happening in the grow room. I re-potted the herijuana female in some Black Gold all organic potting soil so I'm moving away from the Miracle Grow coir as it seems a little hot.

I also re-potted the Nemesis female and placed her and the Herijuana male in a separate room to make babies.

and then I found time to change out my RO filters

after

gallery_6278_3609_46501.jpg

and I still have to decide on some additional strains for this summer grow

She should like the warm temps and fresh soil.

I like taking slow ones and bringing them to health.
