So, new seedling in new LED set-up, same units but different place, temp max 21° and 90% RH, here is the result after 8 days. The closer the better, but not too much, 10 cm is perfect i think. They definitly love this LED spectrum gallery_992_3795_382929.jpg

Nice growth! It'll be interesting to see how those LED's will treat the lower branches as the plants get taller. How long do you plan on vegging with those lights? Looks like pretty tight internodal distance so far. :)

Merci Wrecks ;)

I intend to veg then 4 to 5 weeks under LED.

And yes the internodal distance is much tight and trunk more heavy, also roots are raising out of the pot more early and more strongly. No doubt.

On a good compare scale, my two DP90, i have better result with 3 x 28w (84W) in the #1 than with 2 x (2 x 55W) = (220W) Turbo neons

I just watered so some split on leafs, some some dirts on them, sorry :(

I did some research on spectrum, it seems that even for veg, they love an higher red/blue ratio, and they need a bit of far red (over 680nm), that's why this spectrum works so well on seedling imao.

Imao the cyan/green/yellow spectrum is useful too for carotenoids.

4-5 weeks of veg, wow, what strains are they bro?

seedlings under 1 blue 450nm/ 1 coolwhite 5700K / 3 hyper red

they need a bit of N, I see it because i took them out of the tent for the photography. They had nothing, only the canna pro + in 2L pots and pure water. I didn't want them to grow too fast. They stretched a bit after sprouting, after the first node the internodes are short enough, but it is strain related too, I have seen shorter internodes on some strains. On the left a cheese, on the right a master kush.

Hi friends,

Some picture of the actual led set-up, taken last week and now i have no more room and have an other tent for them more quickly than i primary thought,

Dense internodal, fat and dark leaves, the trunk is much bigger sooner than usual, the roots go out of the top quicker also, really efficient what you sell me dude :)

I'll try to make better picture soon.

Damn! Green and full leaves right down to the bottom. That's awesome. Glad they're showing you a good time. :)

How many watts are each diode? 3? 5?

they are 3 watters, we could say that, but it is more accurate to say that the red leds have a 2,3V voltage, @500mA so 1,15W for the reds, and the coolwhites 3,4V, @500mA => 1,7W.

Each engine has 3 CW and 3 reds, 17V@500mA=> 8,5W/"bulb"

Some more close details/

The tent is a Secret Jardin DP 90 (90x90x60cm). So 3 units in it, 2 off 120* angle will be enough.

0,48 m2 (5,23 sqf) for (3x3x8,5w)= 76,5 Watt ----> so 14w/sqf only !!!

Low wattage, still amazed :)

@Wrecks : Bro' i'm sorry, you can smoke a coffee (or a salmon, or a spliff) before it loads, as there many pics

3 liters pot, plants are from 30 to 55 cm actually. And no stretch at all, that is maybe for me the most impressive effect of led i was not waiting for but really happy to have. I'd better say "this particular unit spectrum", because you all know all LED unit are not equal .. Neither are HPS, but for 10 to 20%, not for 80%.

Hi friends,

As i plan, now each time i need a spare, i will buy LED units, so I did buy three other units i just received today - I got 6 now :)

Almost the same, but the drivers are dimmable this time (i don't think to dimm them low, but who knows :)

For the specs, silver surfer will tell us more technicaly than i can do.

I backup'd few older pictures who "disappeared" :)

The new ones

They are wonderful lights. They do so much better than the 200w cfl they replaced and I save 150w to boot. I need to get one more but that will have to wait for the new year. I also have my eye on the little one for clones/sprouts. Here's hoping the new year is a good one financially. ;) I seem to have too much on my priority list. :(

That's the same old problem, really good stuff are always a pain to pay for, but they always worth it :)

Don't tell my wife i spent a 1K' note in LED, she will collapsed :P

Your plants have convinced me to look at these things when I rebuild my room. The T5 panel is okay, but it's not very adaptable when you are trying to have many things going. Clearly I also need twice the floor space but I am thinking about building a 2 or 3 story wood shelf to fit in a 1.2x1.2m secret Jardin.

Keep the good info coning :tu
