CoJam crosses

Recommended Posts

I have a few CoJam crosses in veg currently-all sexed. I do not have the space to flower them right now, so I will be cutting clones. I will post some photos of New Blue Diesel and Jackberry f3 crossed with a CoJam male. Both mothers had very purple flowers. Today I am just posting pics of my favorite female-NBD x CoJam. She is twice the size of my other CoJam crosses, and seems to be showing signs that she will be purple.

The NBD mother had the same dark purple petioles, and the green hair below the pre-flowers(I forget what it is called) are starting to turn purple. The mother also did this before the pre-flowers and buds changed. A few of the leaves were clipped short because of damage from a sticky trap, not nute problems, so I think the purple in the stems and petioles is natural.

Since you asked...

Here are all of my female CoJam crosses that I have germinated. I have a male Jackberry and a male NBD cross that both look promising. I still have Anesthesia x Cojam #8, KO Kush x CoJam #8, CoJam #15 x KO Kush, and CoJam #15 x Killing Fields f3 / Space Queen f3 (freebie). I do not think I will be able to germ them until they start selling permits for recreational growers, due to restrictions on # of plants.

Here is the Album link: https://www.opengrow...y-f3-x-cojam-8/

Here are a few photos for those that do not want to view the album.

Here she is, after 10 days in the dome, and 2/4 clones have popped roots that I can see. The other 2 became droopy a couple of times when I was late misting, so I think they were set back a bit.

I had 100% success on cloning the CoJam parents, and I am still waiting for 1 of the cuts to pop, but I am confident that she will. I am using a dome, hydroton, and capillary mat to keep the sponges at the perfect moisture. Sadly, I am limited to placing them next to a window for weak light.

The female CoJam was ~14-15 weeks, and I can not say precisely for the male, but he was the fastest flowering/growing male out of 20.

I put my clones by the window and supplement that with a couple CFLs. I have had pretty good results with that. I have a couple mothers outside right now and they are doing marvelous and no signs of flowering. Solstice is in two weeks my friend.

Just an update on the clones. The last of 4 has rooted, and I will probably transplant them soon.

Just an update on Jackberry x CoJam in early flo. Her mother would crinkle up every time I watered her, and she does this as well. Seems to like dry feet.gallery_7190_3836_338444.jpg

Just plain water causes crinkle? Is that some genetic trait or possible feeding issues?

I think it is genetic. The mother would not un-crinkle completely until the medium was dry enough to show the first signs of wilt on the bottom leaves. I am willing to accept that I may be doing something wrong, but I aerate the water, so I think she may just have sensitive roots. She looks healthy otherwise. If anyone has a better explanation, I would love to hear it.

DJ Short always talked about looking for crinkle leave in his plants for pheno identification. Jackberry having Blue Berry in it may be expressing that pheno. If future clones do the same thing that will rule one way or another.

I think the mother was blueberry-leaning. I did not capture many pics with the crinkle in them, probably because it looked unattractive. Here is what she looked like early-mid flo. She is definitely a mono-bud plant, and I should not have topped her. The dried buds ranged in size from popcorn to Ping-Pong balls, but were quite dense.

You can see some crinkling in these photos if you look carefully.

Some fresh pics from my flo tent.

Jackberry f3 x CoJam She is starting to produce colas, and needs to have her medium dry out a bit, but so far, she is starting to smell much like her mother.

Kush hybrids. I prefer the less leggy pheno so far, but the buds should start to arrive over the next week so my opinion may change.

I like the steep angle and the thicker branches of this pheno.

The lowest fan leaves are showing these colors. I am not entirely certain whether it is cal-mag, or phosphorous deficiency. Any suggestions? The pH of the medium is ~6.3.

My NBD x CoJam #3 female is now showing definite purple colors. I began to notice it around day 18 of 12/12, but she is now in day 24. My Jackberry f3 x CoJam is still looking pale, and I am wondering if I shocked her when I switched her from LED to 600w HPS after the colas appeared. She smells very much like her mother.

Thanks. I have several of the #3 clones, and a couple #5. The #1 looks like she may be a yielder. I will transplant some #5 soon and run her to see how she compares. I can not wait to see if my fragrant NBD x CoJam male shows any colors when I put him in 12/12. I will pluck pre-flowers until I am certain. He is so stinky that I really hope for strong offspring. I need to spread the legs of some of my females for best results.

I was planning to put this male into 12/12 today, and when I was doing my daily plant castration, I saw this.

I will be dusting my purple female when the time is right, and maybe even one of my female CoJam.

The camera flash seems to make the buds look more silver and less purple. I blame the crystals.
