Started at 12 mg nic on 1st week........6mg 2nd week..........now on 3 mg................then next week ZERO......or drop the ecig. I just cannot put into words how MUCH BETTER I FEEL only a bit over 3 weeks no cig's. YOU GOTTA DO IT...................I went on a diet at the same time..............which worked out well. I am so hungry for something other than "clean" food it is ALL I can think about...............lol.................. Actually diet started 2 weeks before the stop smoking. Down 25 pounds, have not had a cig, feeling almost HUMAN again now................NEVER EVER EVER gonna touch a cigarette again................OMG the 1st 3 or 4 days were PAINFUL!!!!!!

Keep it up bro, i quit a decade ago and now i don't even think about cigs anymore when i drink beer! ;)

But a bong on the other hand...... Let me smoke some more Sugar Punch!

Congrats @JetDro. I stopped a few years ago for almost a year. Cold turkey. Then a bunch of crap happened, I had a few drinks....I thought FOOK IT, I want a cigarette. That’s all she wrote, back to a pack a day. For me, I didn’t like the taste of food anymore. It took about 6 months to start eating right. I need to quite for good. It’s probably going to be what kills me.

We all gotta go some day, but don't let Phillip Morris take you out bro! He ain't worth it! If we have to get killed smoking, let Mary Jane have our asses up the wall and pull the trigger! But not that freaking macho cowboy! Hell no!

I even talked to my doc about this, the cool one lol, and he told me if it was legal it would prescribe micro dosing for many things. He also believes in low dose shock therapy over 10 week period, to permanently get rid of depression. He understands it is the Whole process of smoking that is an addiction, not just the nicotine,. You have to break the whole cycle, and I just can't.

That is the tobacco talking to you, but there is never an excuse to smoke a cig instead of a pure joint, a bong or a pipe of pure ganja. Simply replace the cigarettes with pure joints. Even keep them in your Marlboro's package to kill the habit. It worked for me and i was a chain smoker.

What ever, guess folks dont' truly read. I am doing Mushrooms, in low dose, not for a high, for a mind reset to stop the HAND TO MOUTH craving. I can't afford to smoke an O in two days.

Already busted my Likes. Very proud of everybody who is trying or quit already. Do your best to stop. After one month it was almost easy for me. I knew if I ever took one puff I would start back again. I had quit once and did the same as JC. I was smoking a lot of good pot, 1976, and I was coughing like hell all the time. I knew I couldn't do both so I chose pot. I never took one more puff after that 2nd time of quitting. I knew it wouldn't go good.

I also had a sort of odd story of an older guy that picked me up hitchhiking in to work while in the Navy. He heard me coughing and asked if I smoked and I said yes. He started telling me about how he and all of his buddies at the dairy where he worked quit smoking at the same time. He was white haired maybe in his 60's. Then he looked at me and said he was so glad he quit but he only wished he had done it ten years sooner.

I nodded and was only half listening. But after that ride I couldn't get the old guy out of my head. I kept thinking, that's me, talking forever about quitting but never doing it, and then being sorry for it later. And, since I had already been wrestling with the idea, somehow that old guy gave me the thing to do it. I just said, not one puff, or you know what'll happen.

I can't tell you how proud I am of that one thing. I'm not good at curbing bad behavior always. But, it's a real serious deal. It has real consequences. Lung cancer killed my dad, and two cousins, and another smoker died from COPD. I hate to be a downer that way, but today is always better than not doing it.

Prayers and vibes sent to all who are struggling with it. It pisses me off that they even allow them to be sold. It's insane that a company can sell a product that's absolutely known to kill you dead. But cops could bust me and fuck my whole life up on a regular basis over a plant that now has every greedy bastard in the world trying to invest in.

If you can get to the 4 week mark it was so much easier after that. It takes about that long to get rid of the "habit" part. It's corny, but gum helps, too. Smoke pot before you put that cig in your mouth, if you're trying to quit. You only have to do what you have to do for that first month. Just adopt the rule, not one puff. You will start back up if you have one puff. I promise.

The longer time went on, the longer my times were of not even thinking of the cig. Then if you can cruise through about 3 months, I'd say you're done. 4 weeks.. DO IT!   heh, we're pulling for you and I'm here to talk if you get twitchy, lol.

Here's to power back to the person! Cheers!

peace

@JetDro I'm right here with ya man, it's been 3 weeks for me too, I've stopped 3 times in my life 6 years each time and went back to the fuckers, this will be the last time, I already feel 10 times better. I used what I did the last time I stopped, got the patches starting with step 2, used about 6 days and was done, I keep one patch with me just in case, but I feel like I'm done. It's just like being an Alcoholic, I can't just have one or I'll end up right back on them and I've never like them from day one, that's how bad nicotine is, to not be able to stay away from something so nasty! I tried vaping for 3 years, didn't work and made me sick, threw that shit away!

Anyway, don't go back @JetDro we'll fight those nasty evil stinky ass bastards together!!:kill::evil::kill::fish::showoff::showoff::punk::verrygood

People ask when I started, well at 12 to actually take one to my mouth. But there is a pic of me at 3, taking a puff off one in an ashtray. When you are born with a mom and dad who smoked, and smoked when pregnant, makes a bit of difference as well. So really I was Born a smoker lol

I'm not sure that tobacco alone, unrefined before the companies add the 107 chemicals, and the reworking of tobacco, to increase the nicotine a few hundred percent.

I also smoked at 12, it was not an issue in our home at all. Like drinking, it was not an item I got berated for when using. NO BUMMING cigarettes from mom and dad, that was taboo, LOL!

I started with Kool NON filtered, as they were cheaper in that wee country store, maybe 35 cents a pack.  I also bought my first pack of rolling papers OCD papers, at that wee store, and they had NO sticky strip on them back then. Then I found a can of Buglers, that had tobacco and rolling papers altogether!! BUT Bugler papers were like rolling with book paper, but they did stick together better than OCD's were. Extra spit keeps papers together long enough to smoke a self rolled.

I quit in total maybe 4 times, the last has been more than 10 years, maybe closer to 15. I do not think about it, and keep in my head, all the ugly hacking I'd wake to every morning. Maybe, just maybe I slayed that dragon, but I always crave the evil fuckers. I've woke up at night, thinking I'd fallen asleep while smoking....and I do NOT ever remember smoking in bed.

Best to you all wherever you are in your struggle with that demon.

It is awesome so many have been able to quit. Hope Jet you stay off for good.

I ground em up, now I have to use like half a ml cause I do not want to get buzzed lol. Now I have to find a time I have nothing to do for a few hours in case I can't do while under the influence lol. I feel like a little kid wanting to go to a haunted house for the first time

I have quit so many times, I want to stay off them for good. :) Mind Reset I hope here we come.

I'm just quietly sat here waiting for the Black Afghani seeds to turn up at Sannies.................

I'm gonna do a Grow Diary when I germ the 50 seeds I want to grow, never done one before but always wanted to. I never had the time, but now I've got plenty of time on my hands so I'll give it a bash. The pics will be from an iPhone, though. So I won't be posting any 'EPIC' budshots like some of you guys, but I have been meaning to buy a decent DSLR Camera though for some time, but have absolutely no idea how to use one. Yet. :rofl

Johns Hopkins researchers report that a small number of longtime smokers who had failed many attempts to drop the habit did so after a carefully controlled and monitored use of psilocybin—the active hallucinogenic agent in so-called "magic mushrooms"—in the context of a cognitive behavioral therapy treatment program.

The abstinence rate for study participants was 80 percent after six months, much higher than typical success rates in smoking cessation trials, says Matthew W. Johnson, an associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and the corresponding author on the study.

Approximately 35 percent experience six-month success rates when taking varenicline, which is widely considered to be the most effective smoking cessation drug. Other treatments, including nicotine replacement and behavioral therapies, have success rates that are typically less than 30 percent, Johnson adds.https://hub.jhu.edu/2014/09/11/magic-mushrooms-smoking/

That's pretty cool. Do you have a way of knowing how to dose it? You must have read something good. I wouldn't mind trying them again if I did something like that. Then maybe find my sweet spot. Last time I did them I got way too fucked up. It wasn't pleasant at all.

Here's to Garden, the non-smoker!

YAY I hope to say that lol. I tried a very small dose, just to see if I could feel it, think it gave me energy but no high, still smoked though lol But I am allowing myself that just to test to see the feel. Double the dose to a mear .1 dose, I only used a .05. Didn't feel anything but like I say maybe energy, course I had two folks over here who talk a mile a minute, they got me a bit wound up, even told one to STFU ha ha ha so I could talk hehehe. She laughed, she knows me well enough ha!

Anyhoo, after reading a dude warning of bad trip, I wanted to just feel it out so only took a very small amount, ground it all up, weighed it out, capped it, drank it with water. Next time probably gonna weigh it out and just put it in water. Gonna try the .1. Not yet, but soon, then I am going to focus on thoughts of being a non smoker and freedom from hand to mouth, calm, peace, hope it refocuses, and try cold turkey when I do it.

You start with .1. Then you skip a few days, then do another microdose. If needed you wait a few days and do it again. There are guides for depression, addictions, as well. You need to do some type of biofeedback I believe to be successful. I know how to do that part on my own, studied it a few times. So I will do my self talk lol along with the shrooms.

Here is an interesting link @Mr Goodfellow

You should just get licensed and put a sign up out front! That does sound killer.

That'll give you plenty to do to keep your mind off of smoking, too.
