Completed Grow, Mad Kush, Cheeseberry Haze, Jackberry X KO Kush

Recommended Posts

This report has been a long time coming. It was completed in the spring of 2013 and out of pure lazyness (yeah, Mad Kush can do that to you) has not been posted until now. When Sannie recently announced that the Mad Kush might be discontinued, I was kinda shocked and all the more motivated to show just how awesome this strain can be. I don't understand where Sannie is coming from because the Mad Kush is the single best indica dominant I've ever grown, and that is saying something considering it had to go up against Anethesia and KO Kush. Its got vigour, crazy root development, very sturdy stems, big colas and one extremely frosty pheno. It smoked as good and it looked, with a lot of different flavors ranging from chocolate/coffee to sour kush. The Cheeseberry Haze was not too shaby either, it tasted just as you would expect, cheesy haze/spice. The JB X KO Kush I let go a lot longer this round and was rewarded with a lot more potency and flavor. I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking (sorry no pics of veg).

At harvest. Unfortunately the two CBH threw out some nanners at the end. Otherwise a strong strain.

Guest BrockSamson

Did those color themselves on their own? or cold nighttime temps?

-Great grow btw, I've been keeping my eyes on the Mad Kush for a while (hoping that it would be eventually restocked), but hey I'll probably just give mad scientist a shot, which strain put out the most weight? if you don't mind me asking

Hey Brock, the colors most likely came from the cold night temperatures, except for the JB X KO, it would have gone purple anyways.

Its hard to say which strain put out the most weight, because I didn't weigh the finished product. But judging without a scale, I would have to say its a close call between Mad Kush and Cheeseberry Haze. The Cheeseberry Haze was big and tall and put out a lot of bud sites, but the buds weren't super solid. The Mad Kush on the other hand had really solid main colas and secondary buds (watch out for mold when drying, lost a whole cola due to it). To me the weight is not important, its all about flavor and high!

some Mad Kush colas...

The first cola is from the "frost monster" pheno, my favorite pheno of the bunch. The taste was all sour kush: Earthy, dark, but the sour taste made it smooth and fresh at the same time.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. It was a fun round to grow: Easy going plants with fast growth, strong root development, even stronger stems, even even stronger highs, and good taste to seal the deal.
