Caramel Candy Kush | KO Kush x Chocolate Rain | Some clones

Recommended Posts

I can tell you that the male started dropping pollen in W4, tin W5 many more are popping open and there are still some developing, so I ma guessing the pollen keeps dropping throughout the life of the male, have never ever completely grown out a male to finish, he is usually chopped by now. My poor bastard is sitting in a uhaul wardrobe box, isolated with about 45 watts of light to keep him going. No circulation, cooler temps, but fortunately for me the pollen is dropping straight down onto leaves and I can continue harvesting the gold.

I just take some wax paper and carefully shake the branch and collect onto the wax paper, then scrape right into the shot glass with water and then drip each bud I want seeds in. I either smash the bead of water into the bud, or sometimes, just leave the bead sitting there, close up shop and let nature do her thing.

This round I feel like I will get bettter results than I did the first time, but that is becuase I have alot more pollen I am working with. I am optimistic I will get more than just 3-4 beans per bud, plus I am feeling a bit like a mad scientist with this experimenting. Have fun and hope this helps some of you.

Thanks guys, trying over here.

I am very impressed with the stability of the Lucas formula. At 5 weeks, no tip burn and everything looks as it should and is doing well.

Here is a shot of the next chapter, this is the mother "room" and I have (2) blue Chem in the front from seedling, anyone grown those out or know if either look more like Blueberry or Chemdawg? I havent grown either so any feedback is welcome.

Quick peek for the end of W5 and kickoff of bloom for W6! Getting into the home stretch and just fattening things up and watching the tric layers get thicker....Some macros for your pleasure....

Nice pics and nice tightly packed scrog! My chucky has fatter leaves and nice creamy pineapple scent. What expressions do you have going on? Does the thinner leaf mean it leans towards cheese?

@Madmaster - What you going with?

@Shoeless - CB#1 - leaning right now to more cheese and skunk with some red fruit maybe some pineapple in the back, I know this one cures with a fruity leaning edge but there is a nice mix of cheese in this. CB#2 is almost the exact opposite, more fruit/pineappley on the front with some skunky cheese in the back, on this one the cure leans more with a cheese skunk on the front of the pallet. My thought was the wider leaf would lean to cheese while the more sativa fingery leaves would lean to the c99, I could be wrong on this....

@Mojo - thanks for dropping by, that CCK1 is a beast from an infrastructure standpoiint, hoping to see some doubling and tripling in size on these flowers with the body she has to work with. The CCK2 has a smaller branch but the buds feel more dense and less squishy. Aroma on both of these is similiar kinda like something cherry, leather, and vanilla in there with some kushy in there to boot.

Males are still "dropping loads" so went through one more time with the dropper. Heres a shot of how some of them are being pollenated. Some days I leave the drop sit like this and other times I take that droplet and kinda mash into the bud. Either way, they seem to have taken on an effect as the hairs are red in the AM.

Does anyone else use this technique? Do you get good success and minimize cross pollenation to clean buds?

Thanks for looking,...Enjoy :jump:

@Oldschool, so glad to hear that, making me want mine done even faster, but patience is what delivers the goods.....

So here is an update, Week 6 Bloom - Did some macros as it is getting closer to that time for monitoring trics. Enjoy the bud porn, things are getting glazed up in here.

BTW..Do Indica and Sativa trics have a different look to them? Look over the KO kush as it compares to the Chocolate Rain. I think the KO is more Indica leaning while the rain is more sativa. The sativa trics stand more vertical with the drop on top while the indica appear more like a layer of wax all over everything with more pointy vertical stalagmite type formations.... Is this just me?

Also, does anyone know how long it takes for seeds to develop and fully mature?

On w/ the show...

Here are the ones from seed:

@MadMaster - Glad I could help even in the slightest bit influence your choice, I found these forums great for that insight. Esc0 knocked it out on this one.

CB is a nice girl that has some great legs and the most pungent aroma, you will be pleased with your decision and be back for more. Just make sure to clone her so you can get to know her, she does better for me the more I get familiar with her.

Good morning. below is the update from end of week 6. Enjoy.

Starting with the money shot this AM...

Full Scrog

Wont be long now. Aromas are overwhelming when the doors get opened, so needless to say, a picture is worth alot to me at this point.

Does anyone else use Macro pics for monitoring tric production? Seems like it is clearer to me on the screen than with the micro viewer....thx for looking, comment away, and be safe.

is there any doubt that cannabis girls rule the boys? being very matriarchal i think makes it proper to list the mother before the father. i think that's the standard followed by most but it's not expected to be a strict rule so it's not frowned upon if anyone lists them in the opposite order either.

i do appreciate it when someone uses a simple (m) or something similar to designate which is which in a cross.

if there was an award for efficient use of space i would nominate your cab. girls are look niiiiice.

Thanks for the kind words Dream. I dont have much space and it is a labor of love to manage it this way.

Now if only I could catch this kind of complement from the wife once in a blue moon, that would make me even happier. She doesnt realize the type of work that this requires and doesn't even want to know, but at least she does enjoy with me from time to time and she lets me have my fun. Sadly many of you have seen more of my work than she has and I know more of you can definitely appreciate the effort.

Thanks for tuning in and hope you can stay for the rest of the ride, there are only 2-4 weeks left in this run, as I know the timing on these clones and the Brides will be down in just about 13 days or so.

Do you get as excited as I do, when you realize how close to the finish your ladies are? I swear when I typed that statement above I got butterflies in my gut. Love it.
