Shoreline (Devils Harvest Seeds)

Recommended Posts

What I did was to mix water to a bag of soil, enough for it to be moist but not too wet, Didn't measure ,just went with a feeling. Depends how moist the soil is to start with. And then I don't water for many days.

The young seedlings could actually get the water they need from the moisture that is in the store bought soil, but do not overwater them if you add water to soil! They don't need much water yet.

When they are in the pot I put my finger deep in the soil, if it was wet 2-3 cm deep, I didn't add water. Also the difference in weight after and before watering gives you clues as to how much to water. Many people overwater their plants, myself included, but after some experience one learns...hopefully

Sorry for not being able to help more.

i just put the soil in a pot, i don't pre water, plant the plant then water it in a bit, half a litre or something like that if they are in their final pot from the start,, then let them go dry, probably may take 3 or 4 days, then just give them a little bit more water when they need it, rinse and repeat. You'll find that the trick to young plants is let them do their own thing, just give them enough water to keep going

High all,

3w 24/24

Thanks for the tips regarding the prewatering of soil.

To stay on the water vibe. Watered 27/3 then 29 and 30 aswell 0,33L each. Shoreline right and chocberrys some more when needed.

Had some runoff of those pots.

The chocberrys werent spared and just tweased a ball away. All hairs for the rest.

Shorelines are starting to bud, I try to watch them with eagle eyes but look good for now.

On another note, I also got an Volcano Easy Valve set. So I'm vaping away atm :) .

Really enjoying it atm, it's a whole other experience. Much more headier for me. But for ultimate taste paper is the way to go.

Vaping tends to give the same taste imho regardless what strain. I just recently got it so I can still experiment with the different heat settings.

Anyways here some pictures.

High all,

3w 24/24

4w 12/12

I upped the water to 0.66L each during last week. I still give from up top one day dry in between.

The crappy start was due to my poor way of watering, probably waaay to much with prewatering of the soil.

I can't tell for sure, but they look nice and green again imo.

Gave the first feeding just now. Less then 1ml/1l ratio.

Last week I had to pluck away some nanners on the shoreline(rightback) I missed out on initialy.

Theyre starting to produce frost.

Hopefully the chocberrys stop stretching now to, especially the stretchy pheno. Had to squeeze certain stems.

High all,

Continued same water schedule. Dried out 2 days in row last thursday and friday.

Last nutes saterday and sunday (follow up watering 33cl each time). 1ml/1L ratio.

Temps and Humidity are ok max 60% RH and min19°C max 28°C.

I fondled the Shorelines a bit and they smell promising. Hope they swell up good, big budleaf atm.

The stretchy chocberry topbud been tied down. It's time to make buds now.

High all,

some less nice news to share. I was wondered why the left shoreline was browning her pistils so fast and it's because she pollinated herself.

After a while looking I found male flower busted open

I took her out carefully and gave her the chop. It wasn't gonna yield much after all.

Sucks to hear about the hermie, hope that it didnt impact all the ladies.

Personally, I cant trust a plant that throws out a ball, it is impossible to manage to a plant that wants to sex itself. Any idea if the hermie is a trait or a result of a light leak or something? I would be suspect with the seeds.....seems like they would be more prone to hermie themselves.

Flowers are looking good, aside from hearing about the pollenation

Best of luck and keep it green.

Thanks for poppin in starinhazy,

I don't dare to state that it's genetics or anything because I don't thrust my own greenthumb, but I can exclude lightleaks.

There are some posts on the internet about herm issues with the strain. Maybe it's just a finicky strain.

Reason why I chopped it already was to prevent further impact on the rest and to still have some smokeable stuff of it.

After I took all the plants out I wiped the floor/walls with a wet tissue in an attempt to disable the pollen that would have spread.

It's still a while to go...

Greetings!

what kind of soil did you actually get from that shop. that will easily tell you if the soil had enough nutrients in it to take the plants into flower. Yet, most shop soils that are pre charged with butes won't last long enough for many strains if u are vegging 30 - 60 days. 3 wks will be close to/at the limit of most pre charged soils depending on how you plants take up nutes.

NOW I THINK THERE ARE SOME SPECIALISED MIXES THAT CAN/DO LAST LONGER , but i can't name them off the top of my head. i would have told you to check your root zone to see if it's healthy and if the roots color was good too. I already started making a habit of checking my root zone on the regular before i was forced to stop.

IT'S AN EASY WAY to head off issues that the above ground vegetation will not show until much later.a little epsom salts every now and again seems to make plants happy. i got used to using it like a cheap plant tonic/prevent defense!

Thanks for sharing your grow dude. i wish u al the best. it will only get better as time goes on and u grow more dank. peace and congrats.

This are the roots of the chopped shoreline.

High all,

3w 24/24

Bit later then usual but I didnt have my camera at my disposal last couple days.

Here I am with the weekly update. They are bulking up!!!

Planning on flushing 2 more weeks for the Shoreline and she should be good to go imho. Lower buds are turning pistils.

Chocberrys are just starting to build. There is a good difference between the two plants.

The sativa pheno has more crystalproduction whereas the indica pheno looks like it's gonna yield bit more with chunkier buds.

Nutes still at 1ml/1L. Temps little bit raised with the warmer weather lately but are still within limits. RH is topping at 60% sometimes.

That Indica pheno looks dense.

Did that hermie get any other ladies infected? They look great.

Never had either of these strains. What is Choclate Berry? Also whats the lineage on Shoreline, Looks like a hearty and kushy plant

Keep it up and b saf

@Lexn - grow is coming along great, that shoreline looks amazing, so crystally and that Chocoberry, bet there are some amazing smells emanating from that best. Grow is looking good and wont be long til you got a nice headstash.

How bad did the hermie get the tent? Are all the ladies showing beans or was it an isolated incident with minimal casualty?

Thanks smilestyle :D but i'm far from a mastergrower I feel. Great boost for the ego though, lol :)

Also thanks for poppin in starinhazy. I hope the incident will be minimal. I don't really see any seeds forming.

Guess we will have to wait till I give it the last manicure to be sure.

That shoreline that I cutted earlier has already been sampled :P It was a nice funky cheesy smoke. Curious how the more developped bud will be.

Greetings!
