DesertGrown 3,088 Report post Posted June 26, 2015 My eyes welled up when I read your post. I don't know what to say robo, except I'm here for you when/if you need someone to talk to. This is terrible news, but you will get through this, you are a man of strong will. While I am past the loss, I am far from over it. I'm staying busy and I'll see if I can salvage some of my neglected plants this weekend. Truthfully, I can say that gardening WILL help you out with this hard time in your life. It will allow you to be at peace and keep your mind focused. Gardening is therapeutic in many ways... it's exactly what I did when my Dad passed and I can tell you, for sure, that it helped me tremendously. Plants and flowers have always made me feel better when I'm down. I hope they can do the same thing for you, my friend. It hurts me to know that you're hurting. Hopefully, we as a community, can help you through this, robo. Peace brother. DesertGrown
ReverendMaynard 3,376 Report post Posted June 26, 2015 Brother, I am very sorry to read that news. I'll be thinking about my imaginary vision of what you look like today (you'd laugh, kind of a mix between Frank Zappa and Robert Plant lol), pass you a beauty spliff and give you a pat on the shoulder. If you don't have support in your real world, like DG says, we're here for you man. RM

DesertGrown 3,088 Report post Posted June 29, 2015 I like your grow area... there is a lot of 'green' cover to keep ones eyes busy and off of the pot. If only I had an area about that size... the trees I would grow. It looks like when you are finished planting, you'll have covered most of the area of that plot. I predict that you're going to have a killer harvest this year, robo!

Archer 252 Report post Posted July 5, 2015 robogro, I have not been around much lately sorry to hear about your loss. While staying busy will help. Obviously you will still have a long healing process in front of you. Not saying it will help but it does for some when you are having a rough moment try to think about some of the good times you have had with her. The Day will come when you can see her again in Heaven.

robogro 2,459 Report post Posted July 7, 2015 Thank you All for your thoughtful remarks/comments, I have a full time job and spent a couple of days with family, so I was only able to spend 1/2 a day with the grow this past weekend. No pics, but they might look better in a week. I'm running out of space and some will die or maybe just planted somewhere else and left to fend for water etc. on their on. 95 f yesterday and the temps are going up and rainfall down in the next few weeks.
