Cheeseberry, hand watered - Canna Terra

Recommended Posts

I thought I had better catch you all up on my grow of Cheeseberry (there are 2 Lush in the main group as well).

Medium is Canna Terra and I have been hand watering. Globe is a Solis Tek 1000W and ballast is Solis Tek Matrix. Adjusta Wing Avenger shade.

I have 3 phenotypes (labelled #2, #3, #5). #2 is the more indica phenotype with less stretch and fatter leaves. #3 is slightly more to the sativa side but not too different from #2. #5 has noticeably thinner leaves and stretched the most out of the three.

Hi KaRmA. Thanks for that info, I've read all I can find about the Cheeseberry but that isn't a whole lot so any info really helps.

Cheeseberry is one of my very favorite 50/50 hybrids (or there about). It's got a body buzz that I can only describe as exquisite.

I don't remember too much about growing her. I only had two girls, so I can't say much about the different phenos you'll find. She's an easy grow, about 10 weeks for me.

Thanks Misterdirt.

This is one of the plants I have in a small pot off to the side of the main plants. The plants in small pots sit on milk crates to get them high enough to catch some decent light.

This is #2 at 35 days 12/12. I'm planning on letting them go another 5 weeks.

I just immediately thought that, stink power..lol

It looks like a good bit of training you have done there

Good light penetration in the Hart of the plant

Thanks everyone, the main smell I am getting from them is sweet berries. As the last weeks go by I expect the smells to change and I hope to get some cheese aromas coming through as well.

I did put some effort into training the plants outwards at the beginning of the grow (I basically just let them grow 4 or more tall branches and tied them out at the beginning of 12/12). I also removed any branches along the main stems that were growing opposite each other or too close together. I felt the plants looked a bit bare to begin with but, as I hoped, they have filled in the gaps quite nicely.

A shot of the room from a different angle and a closeup of #2.

44 days 12/12. I flushed a few days ago and yesterday added pk 13/14 to the mix. The 2 plants at the very front of the pic are Lush and the rest of the main plants are Cheeseberry.

This is #3 which you can see is a bit frazzled due to ec rising from me underwatering. The leaf tips are in the xmas spirit curling up like elf shoes.

Thanks raze, bigun , and KaRmA. If by 'vent' you mean my carbon filter I am probably due for a replacement. I've had it for at least 4 years now and although I can't smell anything I'm wondering if I have just gotten used to it...

The smell is starting to shift from sweet berries to something with a little more skunk oriented but still with the berry smell there. Hoping the funk really builds up over the next three weeks.

Thanks saxo.

They are at day 63 of 12/12 now and in general they smell like very ripe berries, maybe a mix of strawberry and blueberry. They have that kind of intoxicating smell that strawberries and other fruits get just before they are too ripe.

I will harvest in around a weeks time and when I decide which one/s to run again I will probably only run them for 9 weeks and see how they go. In general I could have looked after these plants better and that is showing up in the leaves. #2 is less nutrient sensitive than #3 and #5 and I'd say is closer to the cheese than numbers 3 and 5.

Some of the leaves on #2 have a lot of amber trichomes but there aren't a lot on the calyxes. I'm not sure where people generally count trichome colour. I only look out of interest and just judge the buds after I smoke them as there is only so much trichome colour can tell you.

I did harvest one #2 in a small pot at day 56. It doesn't get me too stoned to do anything but I have found myself not doing a lot when I smoke it because it just makes me space out. It's nice to be able to have a smoke that helps to space out and relax. I find the space out factor somewhat motivational too because it lessens my anxiety. I'm not sure that it gives me the munchies but it does make me relaxed enough to get up and cook up a delectable cheese and bacon sandwich instead of just thinking about it.
