Greeting Opengrow,

Time to stop diddling around all the time with growing. (Im sorry, I get a little bored sometimes)

This topic is to showcase a few genetics in a nice simple, perpetual fashion :)

I will be good and do my best to put on a good show ;)

Starting up we have:

2x 1000mm x 2000mm Flood and Drain tables filled to 100mm depth.

(1x filled with 50/50 Perlite/Coco, the other 70/30 Perlite/Coco)

Over each table I have a Dimlux 1000w DE Fixture @ 1000mm above table.

In the middle of the room on a light mover rail, I also have a Solistek 400w 10K bulb for extra UV ;)

Drain to waste, using EWC tea and 1x dose per week of BAC Organic Bloom @ 2ml/L

First run of genetics are:

Sour Amnesia (Hortilab)

Kali China (ACE seeds)

Critical Mass (Unknown)

Enjoy!

Thankyou guys :)

I am a little OCD with my growroom's.

If anything in this world gives me anxiety, it's clutter.

Clean environment, clean mind ;)

I think anybody considering pulling the trigger on ACE seeds is going to by the time the KC is over ;)

Ive barely flowered it and im already in love. <3

Vigorous growth, excellent node structure, lightning fast cloning strike rates... it's exciting and very promising :)

I am always so tight for space here. it sucks..

I like that you use the whole table as a large grow container. I was cautioned on that before but always thought it would be like doing it in a giant garden bed. Does the table drain evenly or does it clog easier?

My sexy grower:)

first thing i have noticed.. (same u wrote) KC has exxxxcellent structure!!!

Iike an idica... but as i read dubi topic on her at ic.. I see she is a 75-25..indi dom with the sativa effects..

it would be a great (but i almost cant belive) to find something shortflowering.. with "Powerful, psychedelic and sensorial effect of SE asian sativa, with a relaxed, introspective and meditative development."

im waiting for ur first smoke tests:)

my mind is really not working good .

yesterday I got a final weight and screwed the math up terribly..

o well..getting old I guess.

got me a front row seat on this run.

may be I can get some pointers and do one sometime.

Thank you guys, very nice words :wave:

@Hempyfan

Essentially this is a garden bed and from experience I am a big advocate for them :)

The plants share the roots and ease of irrigation system comes into play as you will see shortly ;)

Being a flood & drain table, it has a series of channels along the bottom for drainage.

I fill these channels with perlite prior filling with media to assist with drainage and create a slight fall on the table back to the drain point :)

Mixing the coco with perlite allows better drainage with less chance of compaction on bottom, and allows reuse of media over and over without having to "re fluff" between runs.

@Thomas Michael Green

Many important parameters have changed from the 50mm table.

#1. Doubling the depth of the media has lowered the PWT allowing a "sweet spot" of moisture and air.

#2. Mixing the coco with perlite at high ratio allows a much more aggressive air/water ratio to improve PWT zone.

#3. 100% coco coir is not suited to flood & drain due to it's CEC, WHC & AWR.

100% Perlite, Hygroton or Mapito (Keep dreaming Hidronesia :P ) is well suited, but does not support beneficial bacteria and fungi due to it's inert nature. EWC tea or organic nutrients would simply not be possible in a completely inert medium.

@Hidronesia

Sounds like a bit of a dream girl doesn't it :)

The person who gifted it to me i remember saying "watch out for her, she is a leggy girl!"

Could be environmental that causes this, but time will tell.

One of my Jack Herer's does just this. Starts out short, fat, wide leaves... then hits stretch and starts throwing sativa shaped leaves but not sativa stretch.

I dislike sounding rude, but I don't believe I have ever seen a good representation photowise of what KC can do on the internet, so hopefully this can be the first ;)

It's only been a week Provence :P

Ladies are kicking in, always a little bit slow doing EWC for the first run on a media... needs time to build ;)

Enjoy!
