Ben Tokin

Ben Tokins staggered harvest pics

Recommended Posts

Jet, i heard really good things about that goji. Prob a good one to start out with as far as bodhi goes.

Night, i didnt get any pics of the first one but the second one is now drying. I dont really worry about it. These were ones i took for a friend. I normally try and stay away from the fems. I also know that its hit or miss so i dont get all worked up over it. Could be my fault, could be the genetics but i dont like to point fingers. Only here to report my experiences and hopefully maybe help someone with pheno selection and such. Ive learned everything i know from these forums so only looking to give back. I dont claim to be a great grower so u wont see me give advice much. The herms ive had this run only pollinated the lower branches of themselves. Havent spread to anything else or else i might be a little more upset. If given the chance to grow fems or regs tho id pick regs all day. Still have some old fems in the stash so i try and get a couple in each grow

Hello all. Im back with more updates. First up the last cheeseberry haze. This one had the most indica traits out of the 3. Wider leaves, stayed shorter, had the most indica shaped buds until the end they really started showing their haze side. Foxtails that never matured, just kept popping new white hairs. Faded purple. Went a little over 70 days. Fruity scent

gallery_16155_5384_536613.jpg

Next the last of three super snow lotus. Similar to the 2nd one above but not a sticky when cutting. The 2nd one also cured up with a very nice smell that is similar to this one...skunky kinda sweet with a little pine. This one was also overfed. Long sativa spear shaped head nugs

gallery_16155_5384_3489309.jpg

Next up a chocolate cheese. This one smelled so good when cutting. Surprisingly the scent reminded me of ecsd. Chunky buds, extremely sticky, and that lemon limey citrus scent, didnt have the kushy background that the diesel has tho. Also didnt have all those little tiny sugar leaves that are a pain to trim like the diesel either...thank god. I have another coming down shortly that is bigger yielding than this one. Alot of the lowers are leafy but thats a product of jamming so many plants together so close i believe. Was looking forward to this one and cant wait to smoke it. Ive heard alot of people rave about the choc cheese. I actually almost put in an order a while back just so i could try these freebies. Unfortunately i didnt take a cut but i guess i can always try to reveg

Last up a killing fields fem. Crazy coloring on this one. The inside of the bud is almost a deep red color. Multiple shots with and without light

Another update...only 2 for now but have been cutting everday and will be for the next week most likely. I probably have 10 to 12 left to go. A bunch will be coming down this weekend. The first one was unlabeled when i got it from my friend. Its purple so i thought it was a killing fields but he said hes pretty sure he only started 2 and theres already 2 that are labeled so who knows. Maybe a selene? Whatever it is it was fruity when chopping. Feel free to take a guess if you would like

gallery_16155_5384_2643283.jpg

gallery_16155_5384_3967020.jpg

Last is a selene. This ones a green one but i do have another still waiting to be cut that is purple. Shorter plant with bigger nugs that grew very close to each other... kinda crowded each other out. Tops are very tight but because of the structure the lower half of the buds arent as tight

Update time. A couple more. First a mad kush. This pheno was much larger than the other two. This one grew bigger and had some stretch. Smells good and nice and frosty

gallery_16155_5384_2728680.jpg

gallery_16155_5384_935843.jpg

Next another killing fields. Bigger indica shaped nugs. Purple color but not as dark as the last one

gallery_16155_5384_2152199.jpg

gallery_16155_5384_4717756.jpg

Thats all for now. Another update in a day or two

Another update. Im having a tough time remembering what ive cut down this weekend and what i took pics of. Too much drinking i guess. Ill start with a mad shack. Had several packs of freebies from years ago. This is my last one. Smells almost exactly like the shackzilla a friend did and the ones i currently have.

gallery_16155_5425_427846.jpg

gallery_16155_5425_277145.jpggallery_16155_5425_1882816.jpg

Next is a purple selene and another short squart mad kush. Both hermed out on me and the selene has some odd mutations i noticed. This is my 3rd mad kush that hermed on me. All my short squart phenos had nanas that released pollen. I got pics this time. The only mad kush that didnt herm was a taller stretchier pheno from the post above

gallery_16155_5425_1352471.jpg

gallery_16155_5425_3142628.jpg

Purple selene nanas

gallery_16155_5425_3758989.jpg

And some odd growth. Shoot branching into two with no topping/training

gallery_16155_5425_2737267.jpg

Anyone notice anything weird about this photo?

gallery_16155_5425_446078.jpg

Mad kush herm

gallery_16155_5425_1851266.jpg

Last a kolossus. Obviously some big nugs on this one but it smelled better than i thought. I figured it would be kind of generic but smells nice

gallery_16155_5425_801569.jpg

I think i cut a couple more but dont have pics. I know i at least cut a green selene also. Ill post up later if i missed anything

Beautiful work!!

I had to change my way of doing things years ago, as I hated trimming for weeks at a time.

Now, 3 go into to cook....3 come out finished.

Works out to about 3 a week, to 10 days. makes for a nice circle, without being slammed with all their life stages really.

I however get it, not all ways work for everyone.....I'm just tickled shitless, I found my path.

Best to ya.

Here is a choco cheese. Really digging this strain. Bubble gum scent. Really sticky

gallery_16155_5425_814075.jpg

gallery_16155_5425_3436416.jpg

Have 7 plants left in this batch. 4 shackzillas 2 choc rains and a mystery bag seed. Theyre on about day 75. Hopefully they will be ready within a week. Ended up taking cuts of the pineaplle deez the cheeseberry haze and the super snow lotus. It worked out because after about 10 days only the ones i was thinking about keeping rooted. Ended up throwing 3 cuts out. I have another 10 plants that went into the flower room between a week and 2.5 weeks ago. So should be having another staggered harvest in a little under 2 months. Gonna take some more cuts of my definite keepers tonite. Both salmon rivers(bubba dom and 50/50 phenos), huck, sour secret and sugar punch. Also gonna keep the fluffier pineapple diesel and the heavy yielding cheeseberry haze. I think i know which snow lotus im gonna keep but they are all pretty good so i may change my mind. Bodhi def has some great gear. Cant wait to try the other pack i have of his genetics. More to come...

I noticed that ur hermed mad kush had very green leaves even it was ready and I wonder if it might have something to do with nanners?

Loved Super Snow lotus and Selene! Must be good commercial strains judging from your success :D

Nightmara... none of my short squat mad kush phenos really faded. Stayed dark green and waxy looking. I didnt really feed them much either. The super snow lotus is really good. 2 outta the 3 females i had were definitely keepers. I smoked a joint with a buddy of mine yesterday and we had to put the joint out after 2 pulls each. Tasty and really potent. And i overfed them. I couldnt imagine how good they would be if they were dialed in. Ill get some nug shots up soon

Winding down on this grow...for now. Should have another 11 plants ready by end of april or early may. Ill keep this going as my ongoing journal with flower room pics updated weekly or as progress shows. Still have some more to show for now tho. Heres a shackzilla and an unknown bag seed.

So the last of the first plants are down cut and dried. Been lazy lately but heres an update of the flower room. Pics are about 3.5 to 5 weeks. Most are in 5 gallons instead of the 3 from last run. The tall one on the right side thats barely in the pic is a pineapple diesel. It was the last to go in and wasnt tied or trained. I think the stretch is about over which is good cuz its just about growm out of the light footprint. Over 5 ft tall...

I'm back. Been lazy with the updates. After all the weekend spent trimming I needed some time away while I could. But now I'm back in the thick of things. Got some pineapple diesel pics for now. Was cut today a little over 9 weeks. Already cut a kosher kush, 2 snow lotus, and a ms universe. I'll take pics soon enough and get them up. The kosher kush was really good this time. Smelled and looked way better than last time but yield was probably half. Kinda sucks but whatever. The bud was probably twice as good and I'm all about that. Super stony long lasting buzz. Makes u feel dizzy immediately. Amazing the difference between runs of the same strain. Kinda sucks to know she's gone now but I'll get over it. I've got too many mom's as is.

Quick update. I probably won't be posting much anymore. I've been really busy lately and don't have much time. I've harvested almost all of my second round. Came out really good and yields were up. About 3-4 zips per plant on average. Of course this was in 5 gal instead of the 3 gals from last run. Plus they were also vegged longer. I've got 4 more plants to go. Here's a pic of my pride and joy. Salmon river og 50/50 pheno. Put her in a 10 gallon pot and scrogged her up nice in a 24 inch by 40 inch screen. She's about 2 to 2.5 weeks in in this pic and looking better by the day. Should be my highest yielding plant I've ever grown. Expecting 4+ zips. I'll try and remember to get a photo and post it here in a month before I cut her down

Last update til at least the fall. I'm done for the summer but I at least wanna post up my final results from my last two ...a huckleberry and a salmon river og. Both came out fucking outstanding. The salmon river is the type of shit that a gram in a bag in ur pocket will stink up a room. Soooo good. Unfortunately all my mothers caught mites and I'm not even gonna try to battle them so they were all tossed. I'm trying to reveg the salmon river but I don't know if it's gonna work. Worth a try cuz it's so damn good. Final totals were 102 grams for the huck and 243 grams for the salmon river. Easily my highest yielding to date. It did get a solid 3 or 4 month veg and a 10 gallon pot tho so it really wasn't my doing that made it yield. Check the bud port thread for close up pics soon

First up grape stomper og #4. Grew like a kush with golf ball nugs. Fruity smelling, lower yield. The trim i saved for hash making is super sticky with lots of crystals. She was in a 3 gal. Couldnt get a whole plant shot. As soon as i tried to pull her out she flopped over. Some shots before trimming
