Welcome to my living indoor bed!

Recommended Posts

Hello,

It's been a while since posting last so id like to show you round my new organic garden.

It all started with a bokashi bucket and a worm farm.

I've only been able to use my own wormcastings since a few weeks ago.

The bokashi bucket is for kitchen scraps but I also ammend it with thigs like neem cake, kelp meal, caraway, comfrey, borage, oyster shell, rockdust defoliated cannabis matter, freeze dried root beer powder, this then gets run through the worm bin in small doses.

It was hard getting all the amendments that I wanted but my mix is as follows

50 liters bio char compost

50 liters ewc

50 liters moorland gold(natural peat alternative)

50 liters coco

50 liters perlite

50 liters rice hulls

Fertilizers

4 cups neem meal

4 cups kelp

2 cups krill/shrimp/prawn shell meal

2 cups insect frass

4 cups bio char 5-5-5

1/2 cup palm tree ash 0-0-30 or 1.1.30 can't remember I'll check

1/2 cup rock phosphate 0-27-0

2 cups comfrey pellets

2 cups alfalfa pellets

2 cups hoof and horn meal 13-0-0

2 cups bone meal forget npk

1 cup blood meal 12-0-0

Loads of dried nettle mixed in

Minerals

4 cups humate ag6

3 cups greensand

3 cups oyster shell flour

3 cups oyster shell crushed

6 cups gypsum

15 cups rockdust

I inoculated this with TNC mycorr max

And my own BIM mixed with lacto 1:1 and ewc tea!

I let that cook for I think about a month and planted a mixed cover crop in it this had Crimson clover, alfalfa,

Fodder raffish

Buckwheat

Crimson clover

Fenegruk

Some of the plants have still got the cover crop growing alongside them others have been chopped to make a mulch layer for the flower tent.

Let me tell you about the room

It's about 8-10 square meters and I just use it for everything I've got a tea/bubbling corner, extracting/fermenting shelves, a corner for sprouting seeds and a clone shelf.

250 watt air cooled

A couple t5's

12" extractor built in thermostat

6 rvk intake

Couple oscilating fans

Then I've got the 1.2 flower tent

600 watt dimmable

8" ram extractor

6" ram intake all the intakes and extractors go out the same window

This has got a ram fan controller

Some of the lady's

Super lemon haze an old clone from a freind

Cream caramel sweet seeds

Shackzilla x2

Exodus kush DNA

24k DNA/reserva prada

White walker og reserva/prada

Blue cheese barneys farm

Rks reserva prada

And I've also got a cross of my slh and ghost train haze my freind done so I'm hoping for females thats ongoing anyway there still seedlings and I only got so much room in there.

I follow a strict ipm plan weekly and bassicaly follow the ipm download at build-a-soil or.unconventional farmer I will put all my recepeis as I use them same with the sst's which has mainly been barley, popping corn, hemp, and alfalfa.

I have made any of the fertilizers I use myself there's 3 fish fertilizers rainbow trout.mackrel and salmon I Ilsinho made a fruit flower one using banana/squash/papaya this was double fermented

I did make one I think is special and works very well, I got a massive bag of fresh new growing stinging nettles and cut all the top few inches and fermented this then mixed it 1:1 with my mackrel fertilizer and I think it works very well.

This is all still very new to me and most of what do is pretty much guess work I try my hardest to create my own indoor ecosystem and my micro heard being very precious there's plenty of worms in the raised bed aswell they like to hang out by the blumat drippers under the mulch like I say I'll get deeper into everything as I go, I can't honestly even say how good my microbe ard is because I haven't got a microscope but the girls in the flower tent have only had water and a couple teas and there alive!

I have got loads of stuff going on in trying or I'm allways looking for something to ferment or make lol but I must admit I sooooooo much prefer this way to grow compared to hydroponics or synthetics even its opened my eyes in such a big way it's unreal i eat better and bassicaly look at the world in a different way and would like to help save it starting on my garden and you'll see some fun plants along the way chillis tomatoes etc I'm just waiting for some Trinidad scorpion peppers to germinate they are my next ipm addition lol.

So as allway I have to post on my phone and put pictures up on the tablet so a whole load o pictures to follow

Blessings and gratitude

Hello KaRmA

You are very right sir chaotic for real and we wouldn't have it any over way!

So here's a little update were about 3 days true flower now they took about 11 days to switch over so the lemon started flowering in the same time she does in a hydro set up.

gallery_13029_5668_556249.jpeg

the stretch wasn't to bad and the cream caramel which is 90% indica has stretched the most

gallery_13029_5668_756133.jpeg

One more here

gallery_13029_5668_1068022.jpeg

Also I have got some interesting growth in the worm bin

gallery_13029_5668_897848.jpeg

I think I got my fungi all right, now I just need to find out what type lol

Cream caramel

gallery_13029_5688_213430.jpeg

They have had a corn tea at the end of each week and the odd fungal tea (I hope) I have been adding wasting from the bin.

They are getting thirsty now so I basically misting the mulch every day and pretty much alternating nutrient cycling teas sst's and water and all seems to be going ok so far.

I will get a few more pictures tomorrow of the shackzilla and stuff.

So that's about it till then peace and blessings people

Love the flowering chamber ScrOG bed - living soil is the way to go! I'll get there eventually. I have a trashcan full of great soil that I can't use... I'm just feeding my worm bin for now.

It keeps me occupied, but I barely have time for even pulverizing my kitchen scraps for vermicompost with a 2-month old!

Very cool thread. Your methods are intriguing with the mulch and sprouts camouflaging your ladies. Does the mulch cause any problems with bad bacteria/fungi or do you have bennies to keep everything in check? I'll be around watching the show

Dr Don Bonez, i cut all cover crop down after a little while and covered over with barley straw which thje micro heard will find as a feed source plus i am still doing a ewc tea every week from the worm bin which im hoping is added and cycling nutrients and micro organsms.

i still dont have a microscope to proove there is actuallyu the full set of microbes needed but i knolw one thing for sure and thats the fact that i havent had to feed anything still but i am doimng a coconut water and or aloe powder water weekly also and they were top dressed at the start of week 4

so heres a few pics from day 39

Thanks brother, just hope I can keep it all flowing now going to feel wierd chopping and planting straight into old soil but if I'm honest everything in the bed is so happy from plants to soil mites and worms.

It's mainly the worms that let me know the soil is dry hanging around the top or the drippers lol

Peace bro
