ledfoot 787 Report post Posted April 1, 2017 I've never felt the need for P-K bloom boosters. The guy I used to buy Canna coco from would do a real song-and-dance touting the Canna line of nutes. Considering the difference in price, I was never tempted to give up my salts.

Mink 90 Report post Posted April 3, 2017 I am using Canna vega and flores A + B and nothing else. I've never felt the need for P-K bloom boosters. The guy I used to buy Canna coco from would do a real song-and-dance touting the Canna line of nutes. Considering the difference in price, I was never tempted to give up my salts. I did try 2 times growing with just base but seemed to lack the weight and budd were smaller than usual so i started using additives again. @ledfoot this time i tried just the cubes and it was great now ill try mixing 5-10% foam or polly balls and will see whats the difference. I cannot recommend this enough. I think the shine is ground up unicorn. https://hydroponic-research.com/ Now this stuff ive been trying to get my hands on but im in europe so nowhere to be found here and they said they arent shipping to europe.would love to try! But ive been looking at green house powder feeding as i would like to grow with salts and not bottles. Anyone has experience with their nutes? Thanks for stopping by everyone

I was looking at agrocultural websites in my country but dont know really what to look for. Any links with a good read about salts?or any suggestions about products in europe would be appreciated. hidronesia 2,810 Report post Posted July 26, 2017 @mink most salt grower use Yara products in NL. kristalon yellow (+Mg), brown and Calcinit @Hamme Hydro... most of my crates I have foam in pito as well (1:1:1 in liters..grodan granulate: foam: polyester balls,.... this mix was made some years ago)... and I can tell u... the mix working well without foam as well.. because the foam also works just like a "placeholder".... with the amount of Pu balls u can dial in how much water the mix should hold.. when u restart a grow and u pic out big roots... u always loose some foam... if u do some rounds... after the years u will see u picked out most of the foam with the old roots anyway... so nowadays i dont put any foam in the mix.
Hempyfan 4,152 Report post Posted July 26, 2017 In usa these sites I like for salts https://customhydron...5ec3f8e1782ec01 (their combo deals are ideal even if people do not understand the NPK aspect as they think it should be): https://customhydron...5ec3f8e1782ec01 This is my favorite site for individual salts and their combo packs are great. If you go this way, forget almost all you know from grow shop and forum junkies. Do not add anything extra thinking you are being smart. Just follow the simple and you will get what you want better than you believe now. This is a great site and by chance I had run and talk with a guy highly associated with them and helped me with gaining a good understanding of the difference between fertilizer grades. http://www.mbferts.c...ilizers_c47.htm This is a great site but can only get bigger sizes. Is cheap for what you buy and will last a life time for almost all. You will need to know what you want though and is why this is in the second part. As a product line Veg & Bloom nutrients. (the V&B and Shine are a must together and I recommend adding in the foliar treatment or a similar foliar if wanted and same with microbes. I do like V&B salts as well and you can get in some good grow shops. https://hydroponic-research.com/ I swear the shine has ground up unicorn in it! You can get the same affect as using the two options above but this is a user friendly system that impressed me greatly from a ready to use product line. I have tested their whole line for organic and tap water except for using their foliar as I make my own and I ensured I had similar in my foliar. I did like their microbes but others felt they were no different than other microbe choices and in fact some preferred other types due to cost. If you have a good microbe you like, no reason to change but their microbes did work as advertised.
Mink 90 Report post Posted July 31, 2017 Hey all, @hamme i think that you can get foam in larger hardwear stores or pet shops(reticulated PU foam for aqarium filters). But as Hidronesia said it might not be needed just the PE balls. I did one grow with just chunks nothing else and it was great. Mink

My tubs are 35L I want to make the same ratio as he's put up. The bag of Granulate I have is 440L so 1/8 of that would be 55L Seem's a lot to then add 10L SF AND 10L of balls Or does he mean he will ad 7L to the d 10L SF AND 10L of balls? Anyone? hidronesia 2,810 Report post Posted November 7, 2018 granulate bag is 20kg from 1 bag u can fill 8 or 9 crate... it depends how full u press them dry... wet it will collapse a bit. so granulate we dont count by litre... rather weight..2,5 kg/crate or deviding to 8 parts by looking the pressed bag.. everything u put in the mix is only making the medium as wet as dry as u want... (eg.. frequency og waterings) hope u understand more

Would the ratio you posted be perfect for a 3 day flood? 2.5KG RW - 10L Foam - 10L Pballs? I've also got a supply for Rockwool Cubes 1cm x 1cm could this replace the rockwool granulate and be used the same Over and Over I've been speaking to @Hempyfan alot about this with different ratios etc... I've also sent you a message about the way you flush after all this time I think I understand what you mean HA HA.
