Sannie's Seeds--recommend a strain

Recommended Posts

A lot of people are growing seeds from Sannie on this site. I would like to hear your strain recommendations.

I use cannabis for pain relief. I have an adult form of muscular dystrophy. I like to be productive and mentally sharp during the day. Evenings are more for relaxation and recreation. Please make up to four recommendations. What is the best day-time indica? What is the best night-time indica? Best day time sativa? Does Sannie have a night-time sativa? If so, name it. Otherwise, recommend something other than the best day time variety.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think I have any of Sannie's strains, but have you tried high CBD strains? They really help me with muscle spasms from MS and diabetes. They give me energy, so I use them for day use, at times I have combined them with THC during evening use when I had bad cramping yet was able to sleep with the higher dosing of THC combined with it.

Of Sannie's sativas, I've tried Sannie's Jack and Shackzilla. Both kick ass, but Shackzilla will also make you stoned silly. The Jack is more in the head, and will allow you to function. It is not speedy or anxiety-forming, IMO.

I'm not a huge indica fan, and can't complain of pain. But NAW's Hammerhead is a great nighttime sativa. It seems like it has to have significant pain-killing value, judging by the effects.

There's a lot of powerful shit at Sannie's, from all the breeders. Some of them will ring your bell, others won't. There are strains that are good and quite popular, but are not for me, personally. Once you try something you like, find out who else likes it, and see what their other recommendations might be.

Chocolate rain is amazing for "setting things right" by that I mean it helps with a lot of things like heartburn to anxiety.

Sugar punch is also great. It's strong enough to remove your mind from any situation you are currently in.

Both of these strains are strong enough, that no matter how motivating and functional a pheno is, one hit too many and you'll be wanting a nap.

Boudica has the best daytime effect for me so far. But like the others too much and your dragging ass.

Well, I'd second the Jackberry for daytime smoke, and I haven't tried that one. But I have tried Sannies Jack, Silverfields, and KO Kush.

The reason I suggest Jackberry, is from what you describe, the Jack, Silverfields, or Sugar Punch are ALL the strongest pot I've ever toked, anywhere, they can be a bit much, IMO. I've also found Jack and Silverfields quite paranoid inducing at even normal doses. All the reviewers love the Jackberry, as the perfect daytime, and the blueberry indica in it is a great tamer to the sativa raciness in those crosses. My two cents.

For evenings, or even daytime smoke, I was very pleasantly surprised with the KO Kush. I was expecting a hammering, drooling, couch lock, stone, but It wasn't at all. I found it to be a very happy, blissful, kind of head space, just a really calming smoke, polar opposite of Jack.

Hope this helps you. Lots of great folks here with good experiences.

Funny you should mention high CBD. I already have seeds for my next grow. So these questions about Sannie's selection are probably for an order in 2018 or beyond. I have three photoperiod strains ready for the next grow. One of them is harlequin. I have not tried it but i have heard good things.

I did try high-cbd cannabis a couple of years ago. I liked it. It gave me a sense of wellness that i don't typically experience. Users' descriptions of harlequin remind me of what i experienced with high CBDs. I am looking forward to growing this strain.

Jackberry and even better, the jackberry madscientist freebie, are good daytime indica's. Easy to grow, short flowering time, not too heavy a high. FWIW I would avoid the straight mad scientist though. I grew out all my mad sci seeds and didn't really care for the strain, in terms of both growing it and vaping it. On the other hand for night time indica I'll recommend chocolate rain. I just harvested the fem version and I'm liking it a lot for an evening vape. The plants are pretty well behaved when growing too. Not well behaved but worth it is shackzilla, which can get super tall if you get the tall pheno. It's a good daytime sativa dominant. There are at least a couple different phenotypes and all are great. Something sativa that's a little easier to grow and shorter in flowering time is G39. It's on sannies site under NAW seeds. I just harvested some G39 with the chocolate rain and I'm very impressed. The yields aren't as massive as with shackzilla, but the high is a great sativa high equal to that of shackzilla. Sugarpunch is a definite try too for a daytime sativa. Pound for pound sugarpunch is really the perfect strain when you compare the flowering time with the yield. Big cola's and a large yielding plant with not really that long of a flowering time.

Some of the freebies are great too. Silverfields boudica seems to have several pheno's and they're all good sativa dom's. I also mentioned jackberry madscientist. I always like growing jackberry madscientist. Not rangy at all she looks like a miniature xmass tree when in full flower. Great if you're working with limited space. Good luck!

Madberry's genetics are mad scientist x jackberry so it's probably the same thing. And yes that Boudica x silverfields is some of my personal favorite.

I pretty much agree with all of the assessments here. I haven't had shackzilla but I have a tent full of three pheno's in flower now. And I just popped a madberry.

I just sampled another caregivers stuff and it was OG face off bx. Not bad but no where near what I get from sannies in terms of quality.

Thanks to everyone for their two cents. I am familiar with a lot of strains found in Arizona dispensaries. California and Colorado heavily influence what is available. So I have had a chance to try a lot of strains common to those markets. After a while, I had a good feel for certain strains just based on their parentage. But, within Sannie's selection, i am pretty clueless. It's all new again.

Great information here and thank you all for sharing!

What are the best light habit for seedlings? Once they show should the lights be on around the clock? And when should you switch to 18/6? Are T5 best? And one more if I may How different are the light needs of clones vs seedlings?

Gratitude

For afternoon: strawberry blues and madberry. Madberry has that indica body load, but functional in the pm. Strawberry is lighter feeling with pain relief and relaxation.

Evening or night: shackzilla. My shackzillas have been real relaxing, not very energetic. Versatile for after lunch or bed for me. Maybe I harvested them later, but they are chill- with big yields.

Bedtime: mad kush. I don't disagree with any of the other bedtime recommendations like ok kush and herijuana though. Same vein, herijuana cross.

Morning: don't know what to tell ya. Not a big sativa guy until shackzilla, strawberry blues. Way more relaxing than I imagined sativa.

Thanks to everyone who helped me make up my mind. Here are the seeds i ordered from Sannie's.

gallery_16929_5940_1623072.jpg

The seeds came in today's mail! I am so pleased! I ordered Chocolate Rain and Madberry. I decided to try Killing Fields. Even though i don't need varieties that take a long time to flower, I bought this one because of all the good write-ups and reviews. At some point i will pop one or two beans, along with some other tall varieties, and see how things turn out. I have no idea what to expect out of Afghan Skunk X Shackzilla. Those were free beans. I would appreciate hearing from other growers how long to expect flowering to take for that variety.

Cash in an envelope. It worked for me. Looking forward to growing some new varieties in 2018.

Thanks Sannie.

@ Gardener, hellz, yeah. Our lives will have purpose until the day we die now, because once you start growing, seeds have a way of accumulating and you will have to try and grow every single one before you pass. Nice goal, huh? Impossible, yes, but nice trying. It's the journey, righ? heh.

peace bro. Vibes on the new additions.
