Sensi's Super Skunk.

At this moment i am growing 36 Super Skunk granddaughters of the best performing grandmothers from my last grow. They are in the first week of flowering as we speak.

A few days earlier....

Tonight...

gallery_19153_5931_88025.jpg

And a few Amnesia Haze cuttings that went immediately on 12/12.

gallery_19153_5931_105864.jpg

Esko style.

And tonight i planted another 18 Super Skunk cuttings that were a bit late with rooting. This makes a total of 34 Super Skunk and 18 Amnesia Haze plants under three times 600 watts.

...To be continued.

Peace,

Hamme.

How do you like those crates do they dry much faster? How much liters are they?

Yes, i like my crates, they are 30 liters and dry slower than pots.

In this closet i am cloning my own cuttings under 1 x 15 watts. I do this in a tray without a hood on it, to keep the leaves intact and a bucket of water besides it to increase humidity and to dip the clones in when the blocks dry out. I use 4 by 4 rock-wool blocks and frankly i have not found a more convenient medium to clone in. Simply wet the blocks with hand warm tap water, put the cutting in the hole and go. No clone-powder or gel is needed. And you can write stuff on the labels, which is very handy when selecting clones.

gallery_6495_18670_63934.jpg

I labeled the blocks with the same number as the mother.

I like to have a few mothers from the same cutting, so i can keep them low and still have enough clones to supply for my next grow. They are free and i don't need to depend on others. The mothers are kept on 12 x 12 start blocks under 2 x 15 watts and watered from the bottom to prevent algae from growing on the top of the blocks. Bigger blocks are even better if you have the height. I have my mothers and cuttings on a 24/0 regime. This guarantees the best climate for the babies. And since cannabis is a c-4 plant they need no rest during veg.

gallery_6495_18670_32665.jpg

Milfs in progres.

When the mothers get too high i just chop them off until only the lowest two branches remain. Of course i make cuttings from the useful parts and only throw away the fan leaves. I make clones from any strain that i like. Even if it is from feminized seed. Cuttings have many advantages over seeds in my opinion, like uniformity, independence, price and probably the most important advantage: you know what you grow. And because you know, you can adjust to that and feed the plant exactly what she needs.

It is the female version from Sensi's.

This is her, as you can see a hard headed type! But a walk in the park to grow.

Instead of placing an extra tray with water next to the cuttings to increase humidity, you can simply poor some water in the tray with the clones in it.

To prevent algae from growing on the rock-wool blocks, make sure the water is not too high. When cloning like this you can take a holiday and come back after two weeks to a closet full of rooted clones!

Man, that looks nice!! I swear, Sensi still has some of the best strains around. I recall asking for a good Skunk #1 in Colorado, and the young whipper snapper bud tender comments, "Oh, so you like the really OLD time strains?" LOL Yep, I sure do!!

Thanks for the nice comments, i appreciate it!

Since yesterday evening i am cooking up some hash in the kitchen and even tho i am still kinda green, i am starting to get the hang of this fine art. A friend of mine gave me two ice-o-lator bags and this way of hashmaking suits me much better than dry sifting.

gallery_6495_16810_62847.jpg

My first gram of ice-o-lator hash.

The rest is still in the water like a hidden treasure.

Earlier this afternoon, just before the lights went on...

gallery_19153_5931_98167.jpg

gallery_19153_5931_108021.jpg

These are cuttings from my previous Sensi's Super Skunk run.

Yesterday i attached the round plant-holders to the bamboo-sticks and pushed them into the hearts of the plants in the 11 liter pots. Now i am forcing all the branches to grow into the light. The branches that do not make it will be cut off and tossed into the eternal fire.

Amnesia Haze.

Lights on...

Some more Amnesia Haze and they didn't have a day of veg!

gallery_19153_5931_228635.jpg

Those Super Skunk plants take after their mommies!

With this infrared gun i can measure the exact temperature around the tops.

That's it for now, you are up to date about what i am up to. More to come later.

Peace,

Hamme.

Nice stuff, The infrared gun is a bit pretentious, but cool grow!!! LOL, just kidding, the infrared gun is way cool!!!

Lol, i use the infrared gun mainly for an indication, because i never turn the heater on anyway when the lights are on.

Thanks for the reply!
