Each of the Amnesia and two Sugar Punch cuttings receives approximately 1,5 liter water every other day, while i keep the nutriment low.

Like i mentioned earlier: this time i wanna see how far i can go with the girls. They have to drink as much water as they can handle and if possible a little more. And up until now when it's feeding time the floor is dry!

A week later this is how the Amnesia and Sugar Punch cuttings look with the light out. Unfortunately they suffer a bit from spider-mites, but it's no biggie; i'll wash them post harvest.

IMG_4553.thumb.JPG.855a185886b1eaed5a3906c999cd6fca.JPG

I still water them heavily and the floor is dry two days later, sometimes three. Soon as it is, i water them again. I do it by hand, mostly from the top this run.

And i secured my Amnesia Haze genetics. The new generation and their offsprings are safe and sound in rock-wool cubes.

I cut the offsprings yesterday and after 24 hours i remove the hood. Sometimes i rather not use a hood at all if they can handle it.

Light on:

The R.P.P. x Chemdawg seedlings are doing fine. One or two are a bit behind but the others will fill up the gaps.

IMG_4563.thumb.JPG.20d54970d091c03165e5425709a4327e.JPG

I noticed that the slabs weren't fully saturated when i moved them to their final position. so the plants have been a bit thirsty which is good during veg.

IMG_4566.thumb.JPG.10ffe851def2301a9947026144425925.JPG

Nevertheless i cut some more holes in the cover of the slabs and flooded them. After pumping the remains back half the barrel was empty. I switched the Lumatek lamp to 750 watts. Soon i will install the net and switch to 12/12.

And that's all the news!

Thank you my good friend and yes they are!

Today i took two cuttings from each of the female R.P.P. x Chemdawg seedlings with the exception of a few laggards. The plan is to clone those later, hence the empty cubes.

IMG_4574.thumb.JPG.e8e40ad85477b1a1f5daa6fddfc8fd75.JPG

And after i was done i installed a net across the R.P.P. x Chemdawg seedlings through which i will be stringing the twigs. I think they can have a few more days of veg before i switch to 12/12.

Certainly the laggard on the left!

Today, on the 20th of April,  i will commence another Amnesia Haze grow with the same genetics i've been using and cloning for ages. It will be 14 cuttings devided over four slabs (4/3/4/3). Here are the candidates.

IMG_4578.thumb.JPG.6acafe17e4f7186989aea9ad53d6bf00.JPG

Even though i couldn't see any pests, i treaded the cuttings again two times with different insecticides.

Happy 420 ya'll!

And here they are, fourteen Amnesia Haze cuttings on four slabs!

IMG_4596.thumb.JPG.960ec72bdad94c1dc5e5916e00fb527c.JPG

Soon as they catch on i switch the clock to 1212 which i probably already could have....

IMG_4595.thumb.JPG.9b31a82293042633976d05ddb8032e4e.JPG

But decisions, decisions. Another 48 hours of veg probably won't hurt. And the new generation of R.P.P. x Chemdawgs are rooting. Aren't they lovely?

Here's the weekly update of my three Amnesia and two Sugar Punch cuttings grow. They are in week eight of 12/12 and it seems as tho they can go another round or two.

The Amnesia's are fattening up nicely, but the Sugar Punch plants seem to stay behind. Perhaps 1,5 liter per plant every other day still wasn't enough. However: the scale will have the last word.

Lights on.

And the fun begins for that room.  Good vibes on your grow brother. Can’t wait to see that amie and SP room chopped and trimmed, looks like you are almost there.

We're five days into 12/12. The R.P.P. x Chemdawg seedlings are enjoying themselves.

IMG_4615.thumb.JPG.1d2538d6f761aae397694d2c3272f1d2.JPG

Except for the ones in the left corner. Two days ago i saw their leaves were hanging to my surprise and when i investigated it further, i noticed the slab they are on had completely dried out! This shouldn't have happened , so obviously it wasn't fully saturated earlier. So i watered them again making sure this time it was thoroughly. But after 24 hours they still don't look happy.

 IMG_4616.thumb.JPG.3981a5f37b1d3911da2e1e59ea33403d.JPG

If they don't recover in the next few days i suspect they have problems with the roots, in which case i'll have to take them out before they contaminate the others. But for now i have good hopes they will be fine.

And the Amnesia Haze clones are doing fine except one. In a few days i will install a net across them too.

And that's all folks!

So, your growing in rockwool slabs......................with a flood n drain table? Never done flood n drain............appears it works pretty well.

How many time a day and for how long are the tables flooded?????

Looks like a good setup.................NOT that I am changing form my Octopots..................but it looks interesting..................

Will the roots not exit the cubes and be all over the bottom of the tray?????

The slabs are on the floor in fact. :)

I water the slabs about every third day when the plants are three weeks into flowering. Before that i third week i hardly water the ladies and neglect them. Watering goes by ebb and flow indeed, which i do by hand with a plunger pump. This system is fairly easy and when using Canna Aqua it could be done without meters i believe. Perhaps i should try it for the heck of it. I know this because i used Canna Aqua in the past and after adding nutriment, i hardly had to use pH minus to adjust the pH, which means in theory no meter is needed.

It's not that the pH has to be mathematically precise, you can pull it off with el cheapo Chinese meters - which you only have to use a couple of times and then you know exactly what to do and can put them away. It's peanuts and i don''t like carrying bags of dirty let alone twenty bags upstairs!

When I went to the Octo's, I threw out all my old PH crap.................meters, strips, ph up ph down.................NOW.....tap water that has sat 1 day or more ...................so nice to not have to ph the shit. Not seen a single issue in 6 or 7 full runs this way.................What is the PH in the REZ???? I could care less....................  :)

A little update on this matter: the plant hardly recovered, so i decided to squeeze a little part of rock-wool and noticed that both the Ec and the pH were way too high. After filling up a new barrel with only water and pH minus (pH 5.0) i flushed the slabs and let them soak for a few hours in the water. And a day later i could see them recover. Pictures will follow later.

You can pull it of with slabs also, but if you are happy with the octopots, i am happy too! Many ways lead to Rome and i like all of them.
