Hi Og

New start

Iam germinating some beans
And trying something new for an old dog
I got some rapid rooters so I placed the tray on a heating pad dropped in the seed ( no shot glass no paper towel ect... ) put them under my t5 's and hit them with some mycro fungus ( by roots )
And let then rip

Line up
Naw
Honey Hoo Hoo
Durganchistral xheadcandy
Jackcandy

Bigun' s
Gnash
Dusk
C99 f6

Hay Bigun is it dusk or dawn not sure bro ?

I normally use my used soil mix but dumped the whole 2 batches a little afraid of lock out or something stupid it's time I used it gor 3 years with no problems

New mix

3 cubic ft of mix from a local garden supplier it's got all the basics
40 lbs mushrooms compost ( best shit I ever grew was in this stuff) getting back to basic

The addition
Every 3 , 5 gal buckets of mix gets
1 cup blood meal
1 cup bone meal
1 cup rock phosphorus ( ground )
1 cup garden lime
1/2 cup epson salts
Mycro fungus
And humic acid
May try bio char from the shop

Mix well let cook 30 days

Object is to get
9 females
I will collect pollen and do some dusting

Hope to veg for 7 to 8 weeks
Scrog style like always

I am not going to post pics for a while
At least till I see some spouts

I could never decide what the hell to grow
Is it me every time I see a post on something I don't have or look at a seed bank and I create a list of what to by and then buy it what the hell

Why , I've got 2 year worthy of seeds and maybe even more
Ok I am a seed whore I know it now lol
I need a bigger tent

The first step is admitting you have a problem ;) though I'm not sure hoarding seeds is necessarily a bad one to have :P

Lookin' forward to the baby sprouts!

Ok a old dog can learn a new trick lol

Like I said I tried rapid rooters for the first time
And just planted the seeds ( no shot glass soaking no paper towel ect ) as of today all but 3 are heads above dirt

Still using a heat mat and a dome over the tray
All seeds where fresh no old stock

So I may still need to soak the old seeds I have
Some people soak in peroxide I've only used kelp juice

Thanks for stopping by

I'll post pics of the babies soon

I like your soil recipe but I would consider a kelp input (I tend to add via inputs rather than mixing in soil but is just me, many will add when mixing. Both ways are great!

I would also consider bat guano by 4 cups but you have addressed this to a degree by the rock phosphorus with bone meal this is similar input. What you are doing is probably better in some opinions as bat guano strength can vary greatly. I have not seen issues personally with bat guano but I have seen the testing of it and it can be all over the place. Brand does not matter.

I would add worm castings 10% ish and this is your humic acid will come best from worm castings and compost, be careful adding extras as too much is not good. (I have seen no issues ever with using worm castings but the 10% is to help insure a good balance of the mix overall. Book answer is dont go past 15%.
  • Just fyi stuff on the humic acids.
If you use the biochar, be sure to inoculate it.

With your soil make up, I would do this, make an inoculation solution of equal 1 gallon compost tea and 1 gallon worm tea and 1 cup of molasses (unsulphured) then soak the biochar in it for 2 days with a bubbler or be sure to mix 3 times a day to ensure good oxygen for the microbes. If you live near a "healthy" pond, use that water.

Then I would mix with your soil.

This makes shelters or apartments for microbes and they will continue to give long after you forgot about them. If you do not inoculate it wont be as effective and can initially work against you as the biochar becomes colonized by biolife.

FYI - What I describe above is one of my tricks for making highly productive soils.

I look forward to seeing a lovely soil work its magic.

PS: I was always more proud of my soils than my plants! But I can also say that for a very good nutritional plan for hydro.

Things are getting ready to heat up in the Papa house. Nice run bro. Sounds like my start. I'm still trying to baby mine back from being eaten by grasshoppers. We'll see.

Best vibes on the grow papa!

@ le rat
C99 is one of my favorite but always had watered down crosses can't wait to see what this one offers and now that I hear about the dc x hc has the a blackberry gem hidden the hunt is on

@ mg r
Sorry to hear about the grasshopper invasion
Hate all those pests

@ Bigun my brother
All my grow buddies love the RT
And all want me to share c99 I've got requests for clones and pollen
Damn glasses can't see the tricones even with the loop

@ hempy

I've been busy but back to the soil
I do add worm casing and bat crap as well just ran out but it should arrive in a few days ( Amazonian everything one needs )

I also add kelp juice with black strap molasses in the form of teas every 3 watering
I do like the earth juice line of frets
But use fish fertilizer mostly

I do make a bloom tea but I try to let the soil do its job

But something is missing lately and that's why I dumped all my used soil which I've kept alive for about 2 years

I need some sort of bud booster not for flavor but for size

All suggestions welcomed

Thanks for stopping by
Peace Papalag
