Kronocaine by Whazzup - Gifted from HillCrest

Recommended Posts

Thankyou very much to HillCrest for gifting me some Kronocaine seeds, with permission from Sannie he gave away some pearler strains to some very lucky Open Growers.

The seeds are in Rockwool starter cubes after being soaked for 36 hours, 2 are showing tails so it's all gunna happen now.

There are no pics but you can all imagine what a small rockwool cube with nothing poking out of it yet looks like.

Good luck with your grow. One I just grew out was leaning more to the Heri. Narcotic Indica with a clear head. Good luck

The two that had tails have popped up! there isn't any movement in any of the others yet but between the seeds being relatively old and being cracked/crushed in transport I'm not going to put to much faith in them but my main hope is that we get a male and a female.

they will go in the flowering cab tomorrow morning.

Happy days.

the older ones can take a good minute. Damaged ones likely wont make it.

Hey Pedro, how many were damaged in transport? Or rather, how many are you expecting to come up?

1 was too damaged to even go in rockwool and maybe 5 or 6 others were damaged (there were 11 all up). Expectations wise im not sure but hopefully 2 or 3 more will pop up.

The two that are up are in the flowering cabinet this morning though so the Kronocaine show begins!

As it turns out the two that sprouted are the only ones we will see, none of the others came up.

On the bright side there is a pretty good chance that one of them is male so lets all cross our fingers we can make a seed run from this.

Nice job dude !

If it's one male and one female, you don't need more : )

And the baddest issue is that you have two male...not so bad,

A good start for crossing something.

THX for show us !

PS. does you watering yourself, or does you have a pump ?

Little plants with fat leaves... you gotta love seeing that!!

It's still too soon to tell which side of the fence they're from, but that won't take too long to figure out... pretty soon they'll give up the answers that you're looking for.

Kronocaine is a bad-ass cross of a special pheno of Amnesia Haze mixed with Sannie's Herijuana IBL.

The majority of the Kronocaine phenos I've run have had a moderate lemon & pepper haze smell/flavor to them... obviously from the Amnesia Haze side.

I've had a few phenos that were more indica-leaning from the Herijuana side that were a little sweeter flavored and a couple that had the haze, lemon and pepper along with a hint of dark roasted coffee.

Good, but strange flavor combinations may be found within this cross, but it's the high that is going to grab ahold of you and set you down for a bit!

Don't let the lemon or the earthy smells fool you... this is a potent strain perfect for pain and nerve medication or to just get as high as a kite for a few hours.

This strain will impress your friends... right before they pass out!!

Grow her well and she'll stone you well. You're gonna like this one Pedro. . I'm certain of that!

@ DesertGrown

I am not sure if I have ever tasted a haze before, in Aus pot is normally just sold as "good stuff" etc without any mention of genetics or names.

for years everything was just Skunk or Northern Lights or not.

for a very long time my friends and neighbours were very happy with the stuff I was growing but after growing some good genetics such as Herijuana, Big Kush and Jackberry the old stuff thrown in the mix is just 'blah'.

Now the Kronocaine will be one of the last to finish in the cabinet so I'm wondering if i should just do a full pollination (this shouldnt effect taste or potency should it?) which would most likely include pollinating some other plants late in flower

or should they be in a separate cabinet that is not quite as well lit

or attempt a clone of the female and separate the clone and male??? decisions decisions...

There are insects everywhere so after the next lot of buds are harvested i will be pyrethrum bombing the cabinet.. well at least the whole room that the cabinet is in 3 times over 9 days to see if I can gain control until these Kronocaine are done.

Another week...

Looks over watered and over babied.

gallery_16643_6058_2400534.jpg

In the plant to the lower right. do you see the puffy in the leaves, this is too much water for what your young plants can process through transpiration.

Learn plant physiology and environment. In essence your vpd is not correct for the life stage of your plant on the over watering side but that could change later as you plant develops.

Right now, your plants are too wet and suffering. alter your watering frequency and pay attention to your plants. You have more than few of the classic signs.

My advice

  • reduce your watering frequency

PS, dont believe what you see in the internet, including me, but understand the process, reasoning and why. Otherwise, it is likely about something else other than the instruction.

^ yes that is one of the problems of running a perpetual system with only one flood tray, I have tried to balance watering between the more mature plants and the seedlings.

Both the young ones and the mature ones do OK but not optimum for either but there is no other choice.

Once this lot is finished i will be running a monocrop SOG so watering and nutrients etc can be adjusted as the plants progress through life.

I do pay attention to my plants and there is certainly no over-babying happening I just have to play the hand I am dealt with.

I appreciate your input and any more that you may have, my struggle is simply with the space that can be allocated to growing.

Keep on smiling.

The Boy.

I have not flowered out a male before I have only ever used the first few pods to open to pollinate a mum and I am unsure how long he will/should flower for?

should I pollinate the female at around 3 weeks flower?
