Has anyone visited this site? Submitted samples? What do you think?

http://www.phylosbioscience.com/

Seems like a pretty decent resource to verify if that "landrace" strain you acquired is real or not.

It just might help avoid name and strain theft.

They also do sex testing. They will tell you the sex of your plant within a couple of weeks of germination.

The sex test is available for two years already.

The most intresting thing is that Phylos does not recognise the classic Indica, Sativa and Ruderalis classification,
but sees six different "Haplogroups".

So what did it cost? Any opinions? Is it legit? Seems like it's geared for commercial growers/retailers?

The sex test kits are $15 per test on a 4 test kit and $10 per test on a 100 test kit.

10-15 bucks a test, not sure that would pay for itself outside of a commercial grow. Then probably run clones.....

Count find a price for the DNA testing without registering. That's why I was hoping someone on here has had it done.

DNA testing is not a commercial service, as far as I know.
They tested Skunkman's collection (he's one of the guys behind it), and are concentrating on landraces at the moment.
To fill the gaps in the Biosphere.
If you have a rare strain or landrace, you can make a contribution.
Dead seeds and dried leafs can also be used.
