Hey there, the setup is not so different from mine. Yet why do you use autoflowers indoors?

Hi Lumatekfan

This is my first time using this method and I wanted a quick turn around I've got 35L Pots with 1 in 3 and the 4 has 2 in there.

I normally VEG 6 weeks from seed with photo's in Coco.

You got a link to your grow? wanting to learn more.

I don't have a report at the moment, but I handle it like esko in his tutorial. however because of my greed for many strains I pack my tent usually too full ;)

How do you start your seeds off? Do you VEG? Just reading on a thred you started and Esko says no more than 10 days VEg with seeds from 3 per a 35L Pot.

I grow from clones. I veg them just for 4 days. From seeds I would veg them until the first 5 fingered leaves.

That would take me about 20 Days from seed to get to that stage, So would nearly be half way through a autoflower grow. I will do a run with photo's and try and keep a mother.

How many plants under 600 Watt do you do, What Yield  do you get?

I generally have too many 14-18. I guess 8-10 is reasonable. I will try to make it 8 next time. As I grow for myself Idon't check the yield, but I have easily enough until the next run, plus I can store some for bad times ;)

Simply keep it minimal and not much can go wrong.

I was thinking about using the Lucas formula with the MaxiBloom Powder, What do you think?

Can I ask How would you start seed's for Mapito I used jiffy pellets but I would rather start auto flowers in it's final pot but not sure how to-do that in mapito

Starting out in mapito doesn't work very good. I transplant the seedlings to rock-wool starting blocks until they rooted decent. And then i plant them deep into the mapito.

I use these from whichever brand is the cheapest available and water them with Ec 1.6 and pH 5.2.

Can't comment on the Lukas formula, i use GHE Floranova grow for veg and bloom for flowering.

SO FAR ~

Started the seeds with the paper towel method once they was about 1" long they was put into jiffy pellets.

30/08/2018

Jiffy pellets soaked in 0.7EC + Max Dog of Rootstim and supervit - Once they was all in the jiffy pellet i put them under 400 watt light, was having issues with heat at the time so sometimes they was even under 250 watt also humidity was shit in the tent making them dry out to much heat. Started off really bad.

Maptio was flushed with tap water once the run off from the maptio was the same PH as the tapwater I planted the jiffy pellets into the mapito, then gave them each 2L Of water 0.7ec, root stim, supevit per a tub.

I put them onto the table and then filled my res up to the top res was 1.1EC & PH 5.6 and I've not changed the res yet I've got 3 floods so far out of the res and then I will do one more then re-fill it and start again.

@Hamme Hydro

Ask Hamme Hydro, the pito boss !

You can ask me the autoflower thinghy's.

If you look at the time schedule you gave them,it's no surprise they are a little bit short.
In general with autoflowers it's 3 weeks of veg period,on a 20/4 schedule.
The yield is based on that 20/4 schedule,so is the total lifespan measured in weeks they put on the package.

Good thing you asked me in time.

Hello Mucker4you,

I try to be short but infomative..

with autoflowers indoor u cant make faster turnover than photoperiod clones..

if u choose to start from seeds the stupid proof method is planting them into soil ( you can transplant them to mapito.. but never flood up to the soil level)

never ever flush mapito with tap water..

IT ACTS LIKE A BIG SPONGE.

if u fill it with water...u need to dry it..  to make it possible to hold any nutes (please make a test...if it is wet and u water 1 liter of nutes... all will drain out) (so it is waste of time)

( Esko topic is old... and people can easily missunderstood the reason and process of the flush)

If u have to flush because of the high EC.. you should do it with low EC and PH 5.4

ur seedlings stems are purple ...it might be the problem of ph... moisture.. or nutes

allways plant well rooted seedlings or clones to the crates

till clones or seedlings are small they dont have too much water uptake....so waste of energy and nutes watering a crate.

If I will have time I will try to help you more.

save this 4 seedlings... water them from top till they dont have roots at the bottom

dont put water to the the stem... better around it.

BUT If u can get some more clone or fem seed...I would start them in the same tent to practise...

wasting 10 weeks with a bad grow is a pain

BUT TAKE IT EASY.. AND U WILL LEARN IT!!

hidro

do u have holes at the bottom of the crates? it is a must!

Thanks for the input, I think I might restart the whole grow and get some female seed's and go from there.

@Hamme Hydro - Would you expect the plant to be a lot bigger than it is now for 12 days?  Anything you can see me doing wrong with the updates I've done now.

Yes, they should have been atleast twice their size or bigger. Like i stated earlier: starting out in mapito doesn't work so well. The plants need decent roots and if they ai't got them it takes very long for them to make it. If the stems are still flexible you can give them a change, but if they are stiff like a twig i would start again.
