The short size has to do with the fotoperiod not being on 20/4.
 

Yes autoflowers can outgrow a normal plant if you count in weeks.
You need to plant a seed and select a mother for clones which will take more time(not even counting rooting and flowering which has to follow)
 

So if ya sow a seed and in 12 weeks you have weed,that's faster then the whole fotoperiod process,believe me.
If you count from flowering time only,sure normal weed is faster...... but that's not the point.
because then you forget the whole process that needs to be done in advance to GET good clones which are all ready to go......
 

So less hassle with feminised autoflowers,that is true.
But if you want the real grams,you have to select a good mommy from fotoperiod plants and put in all the time i mentioned.

Hi, Guys. I've pulled the plug on the grow. I'm starting a new one in a few weeks but it's going to be with Coco and looking for a Mother plant So I can clones in this system will update once everything is rolling.

Yes, i've done it many times with great results. Flood and drain is an airtight irrigation system if you ask me. With coco it works the same like mapito and you will run into the same problems too. If you can't grow on mapito, changes are you also won't with coco. Both are inert media and require a different approach than soil. Perhaps dirt is more your thing. But i think you've given up on mapito too quick.

@Hamme Hydro, I'v grown in Coco before hand watering. I have a mentor to teach how to grow with Coco on another sit and learnt from there but I'm really set on the Maptio. 

 

I know you start your seed's on rockwool cubes but how do you water them is this stuff I can find out in your grow topic?

I water the cubes from the bottom. When they're saturated i poor the remaining water out of the tray i keep them in back into the bucket. It's sorta like a small flood and drain system by hand. Don't keep the blocks too wet and make sure they never dry out. When the roots cover the bottom of blocks, i transplant them into the mapito and move them from tube light under hps.

What EC do you use? Is it the same PH as Mapito? Do you have anything under them or do you place them on the plastic flat will this stop the root's? Do you use T5'S?

 

I'm going to order some Rockwool cubes now, and a new small tent with a T5 light and stuff and some new seed's. Are you going to be sticking around if I need more information?

Like i wrote you in the pm: i give Ec 1.6 and pH 5.0 the first watering. And then during veg i give pH 5.5. Which Ec i give depends on the strain. But less is always more. 

You can ask away, i drop by here every now and then and will try to help where i can!

I'm with @Hamme Hydro on this. I think you shouldn't give up on It. I think you may have given them too much too quick. Don't underestimate how much stored energy is in a seed. A seedling can grow to its third node before requiring any nutes. I've had tomato plants grow over six inches in jiffy pellets (inert coco) with nothing but regular water. Moister and humidity go a long way. 

Think of how long a cutting can live just waiting for it to root. That's all stored energy. 

Give it another go. Don't get discouraged, it's all learning and gained experience. You will be a better grower in the long run.

Spoken to @Hamme Hydro and rather than get rid of the Mapito and go with coco, I'm going to stick with Mapito and start again this time I've been given more information to help me and I will do Pohot's not autoflower. Will update this when I've got the new seed's and will start a new topic.
