I like it in Trinidad, a lot. It's small and rural but a border town, so they jumped on the cannabis bandwagon to get some tax money. It's been a great success for the town. We're getting infrastructure upgraded, and lots of cool stuff in the works. There isn't a lot of work here but there is some. I'm older and lost abut all I owned so I needed a place to start over and afford. It's been perfect so far. I found a house with outbuildings and 3/4 of an acre for $40,000. I'm 5 miles out of town and can do whatever I want basically.

The town just purchased a 50,000(?) ranch that includes the iconic mountain "Fisher's Peak". It's the largest public land purchase in over 50 years. It's made a lot of national news. It'll be full of hiking, biking, hunting, etc. all for the public, as soon as they can. And, the town is re-inventing itself as an artist's destination. So, we'll see. It's an old coal mining town, but was big in the settling of the west. We have some nice victorian architecture and cobblestone streets. Just plain funky. And, it's a very pot friendly town. Very friendly.

My neighbors are all cool, and mostly older. We're incorporated and have a population of 52... give or take, heh. We have a good bit of wildlife nearby, too. Bear, deer, elk, turkey, and mountain lion. I've seen them all here except the mountain lion. They trapped one two years ago just over the hill from me. I had a black bear try to enter my house through the back porch windows last summer. I got back there in time as he was pulling on my screen door to get in.. he tried two windows but they were too small, heh. I was just chilling in the chair in the living room smoking up... it was about 10pm..

I can be in Denver in 3 hours. Same for Sante Fe, Taos.... lots of very cool places all within 3-4 hours. Weather is mostly nice. Lots of sun. When it snows, it normally disappears quickly. I used to snowboard like a fiend. I'd like to do it again but it's been a minute and I have some bad shoulders I'm nervous bout falling on. But, I'll do it. I still have my Nitro Fusion board... 172cm... long! I think Monarch might be about the closest to me that would have good powder and it's sort of a local place which means cheaper, too.

When you come back to visit, look me up. Always welcome bro! peace

Sounds like a great place to retire,  I'll never make it to retirement but if I do I'll def be heading west.

Sounds like a funky little town,  and glad they have that free spirit and not caring about weed at all. Even more so,  glad to hear they are luring the money to useful things for the people of the town.

That land purchase could be huge.  Open a coffee shop,  always need a really morning spot for outdoor enthusiasts!

Yeah, lots of retiree people moving here... mainly for the legal pot and cheap living. It's turning into a really cool move. It seems like everybody here is of the same mind. People are always friendly and seem to all get along very well together.  Housing went up pretty good this last year and it may be harder and harder to get a place here now. There is a lot of cheap land, though. Still lots of old houses but some are tied up legally until the city can take them over. When they do they'll go cheap. And, word of mouth would still get a cheap house around here if you were tenacious. Going through realtors will get you the highest prices atm.

Here's a couple of pics of Fisher's Peak and the "Crazy French Ranch" from a couple of angles. It's gonna be great when they get it opened. I can hike up it from my house basically. But it's supposed to be sort of rough. There are some roads up there and they plan on improving quite a few.

BLUE!! :punk: :verrygood  lol.

It would be white, or any color, if that's what it was. heh. I just got this one in November. It's old, but was kept up like new. Under the hood looks new. It has everything I needed and a bunch of cool stuff I liked, without having to add a single thing, so, I made it easy on myself. It drives very nice. 161,000 when I got it.. perfect for a GMC. 5.3l It was so nice this last winter and I'm glad I got it because we had the most snow days this winter than the last three. So nice to have 4WD on the fly.

Great looking area scenic views and not a huge city to live in perfect location by your description.

Yep. I'm done with larger cities. I can't stand crowds on a daily basis anymore.

Man, the weather has changed some and the plants are happy. I got some freakazoids on my hands. Everything decided to get it on. And, the JC Haze, Lemon Bubba, and Onyx Fire are all beginning flower. Man, they may become a show all on their own.

Lemon Bubba (I think. It could be Onyx Fire, gonna need help) I had to cut some leaves out. It's crazy legs.IMG_0573.thumb.jpg.58986df1a63eeb747c9dbb300764fbae.jpg

Yep, Russian Sage. Smells so good.

Thanks Smile, I wanted to make sure. It's the prettiest plant I have maybe. The one above is pretty too, but not a sativa. I think I'm going to get the Golden Wedding into a 7 gallon hard pot. I think it's the largest. My JC Haze is in the 7 gal felt pot. The rest are 5s.

I went out this morning before sunrise and decided I had 3 Maui Sunshine males. I was bummed. I thought I had 3 females. They sretched about 4 inches overnight and showed their balls pretty good. Except one. I went back out of after the sun came up good and I have a female. It spit the pistils out in the two hours from earlier. It should be good. Mr Greengene's Cherry Bomb x Sunshine Daydream. Then again it could end up being just a "Bomb". heh I'll get some pics. I'm trying to get a few in new pots.

Thanks for stopping, y'all!

The look  of your Golden wedding reminds me on my first Malawi Gold plant. Malawi Gold is also the strain with shorter internodes. Maybe this pheno is more on the Malawi side.

No, but I have to do something. I may still end up with seeds in my grow. Problem will be I won't know what. Nothing is technically that far along yet, but Saxo's Sultana got pollinated on the preflowers before it started budding, I shit you not.

I've been collecting pollen as fast as I can and then will move them all into one room in the house I guess. I have a lot of different strains going and I hope I keep them clean. Unless I dust some limbs. I have at least a few really nice males. I want to grow them on out so see if they're special, but I'll fuck up the whole neighborhood maybe. I may just get my pollen and let them go or cut them back. I'm taking pics of them all. They're all pretty good choices for males for a project or repro to f2. GG#4 x Sour Bubble looks nice. And the Maui Sunshine could be a good one. And the Uzbekistan. It actually looks really nice, too.

I don't know. It seems to be right in between. It's geting limbs now but no fast stretching. And nodes are still pretty spaced out. I expect it will stretch out when I flip. And I will be doubling the size of the pot. It really has a Christmas tree shape now. More pics soon. Still potting stuff. Got the Uzbek, and Maui Sunshine females moved up to 5 gallon felt. Uzbek is really pretty with a bright lime green look and reds in the stems and in the new growth on the top.

No Problem. I have a couple of others in the fridge. I may get to test one soon. I actually scored some hazmat suits for this from my last project. I need to get the males all inside into another room. It's sort of hot inside but not so bad anymore. I can keep collecting if I get them in place and push them along. Hopefully before the others are vulnerable. Maybe I'll have some to bring when I drive up.
