Fluo Grow Example (9x Bubbles Under 4x18 Watt)

Recommended Posts

Hi people,

Many people want to start growing, but they are afraid of the electrical bill.

or they just don't have enough space for a full square meter of growroom.

Those people (like me) have 2 options:

- keep on buying weed and dream on!

- canalise your passion and motivation into a little creativity and some building skills and build a little cabinet.

the reason I made this topic is to show you guys that it is possible to grown some high quality smoking gear out of

0,25 square meter!

To have a Flower and a Vegging space @ the same little space :specool

First of all the specs of my cabbie

220-470.jpg

total height: 1,90m

comp. height: 90cm

Width: 40cm

Depth: 60cm

lighting and relfection:

*4x 18 watts fluo tubes in each compartiment

the coulours i use are 865(blueish) and 827(reddish) depend on ths status of the plants

*And the reflection consists of lanes of aluminium tape..

Air extraction:

*250m3 ruck air axtractor @ the top

(double bottom with holes between the 2 compartiments)

*In that double bottom is installed a 100m3 air extactor (bathroom model (moistproof and designed for 24/7)

*Between every set of tubes ther blows a little PC ventilator

Pot, medium:

1x 24L curver box (wrapped in reflective foam)

filled with light mix

nutes:

canna vega

canna flores

pk 13-14

rhizotonic

cannazym

co2 tablets (when temperature comes above 28 degrees celcius)

@ this point i will only post 1 pic of the vegging room because i wanna focus on the flowering room.

(the vegging room is stil in use by me.. look into my signature)

The start..

I had 3 bubblicious seedlings that turned out to be female.. i made some cuttings and set the mothers to 12/12

so i will have a little preview of what i'm getting out of the FC.

FC (9x bubblicious cutting (pre-growed for 1-2 weeks), and some back up (no pre-grow) :verrygood)

220-491.jpg

Total of 60 grams under 72 watts of lighting..

Above 0,8 gr/watt.. i'm satisfied.

whis cycle was nearly perfect.. only 2 bad thigs

- i couldn't trim the underdeveloped buds (especially in the back)

- 9 of the 11 week 12/12 the clack was standing on 10/14 (my bad :smoke )

I hope many of you learn from this..

keep it simple!

thanx TnT, the cycle after this one posted i had 200 grams with 250 watt..

but this Flowerin cabbie is now occupied wit 4 Lady cane cuttings rooting under 12/12 for sex determition.

my new cabinet is aproximately the same size as yours..

yours is 60x60 right?? mine is 56 x 74.. so in square meters the same :verrygood

and indeed you can get a lot uf fun out of it..

and it is a good start! you can always use little cabinets for cuttings or mothers..

they always come in handy :specool even if you get a bigger cab :smoke

i hope it is the same here.... but i think it will :smoke

that is my (our) goal.. to become 100% self providing :specool

we smoke 24/7.. and we easily smoke 20 grams a week :verrygood

(I think miss BeeKaa should have a cab too.. she thinks not :rofl :smoke )

my 60x40 cabinet almost does the trick..

( i have 9 weeks left and i thin i'm not gonna make it by 2-3 weeks :smoke )

well, in the little cabbie it brought me 200 gr.. thats almost enough

it was way more than i expected.. (120 gr)

i hope this round will give me some more like 250 gr..but some people say about 300.. oh god i hope so :specool

sounds cocky right? 1gr/watt :verrygood

but i think with a nice scrog it is do-able..

and maybe the lady's have a little surprise for me :smoke

looks good till so far :smoke

@CS

Well hello my old friend :verrygood

good to see you here.

gheghe.. it is like magic eh :specool.. 45 pages into 1 post :smoke

as i can see your english isn't that bad :smoke

have some fun around here!

@phonosynthese,

there are some advantages in Fluo versus HPS..

- The HPS light comes from one source, while The fluo tubes cover a wide area, so less shades are created.

- The spectrum is definately better and with switching the tubes @ the right moment will make you able to control the growth type a little bit.

The grow before this one (the first round in this cab)

i got 75 gr from 72 watts.. thats more than 1gr/watt.. but i have no photos or a report because i didn't have any inetrnet @ that time..

thanx 4 the reply

I know it's quite a late answer but i was wondering. The curver box you use, are there any water drain holes in it ? If so where does the water go to ?

Awesome report BeeKaa. Just goes to show the haters that small cabs can produce good bud with flouros. My little cab is in rest mode right now, but will be going full force soon in preparation for spring '09 OD. I sure wish I had the second small cab like yours on top so I could run two light cycles. Nice Work!!!!!!

I see you allready arrived here growchick :D

Ive seen that box personally i think,,,i was amazed by the size!! and the skills the BK had in that.

At that time i believe he did a herijuana and a blackjack under 250 watt hps in that tiny shoebox!

He made himself immortal that day for me when it comes to the micro :D

he guys (and chick)

thanks for the great reply's.. really makes me glow

after a long time of being away i will try to make another sticky.. not in micro/fluo to my regrets..

but it wil be a build and the first grow of a 600W cabinet..

And then we will see if my growing skills also apply on the higher watt lamps...

Although many people already say that micro is way more difficult...

I can't wait to get started :grinning_respect:

Man, I hadn't seen this post before! Sweet looking buds. If you treat a plant or plants with love, and like you said, BK, KEEP IT SIMPLE, you will harvest great buds, no matter what kind of lighting you use (of course I'm talking about the types listed above). I had some LED's in my cieling fan, and they just look like a supplemental lighting. I don't know, tho, I don't wanna get into which is best, they all have advantages and disadvantages. But I have been thru alot of MH's, flouro's, and HPS, and HPS is what works best for me. Maybe I just give 'em more love when I grow with HPS, who knows! Looking forward to seeing the 600 watter up and running, BK!!!!
