Time to run this marathon

Recommended Posts

A few more still Big league Grape at the start of flower. Should be done in. 60 days or less. I’m not taking shit before 60 and as long as I have time will go 70 going for ambers.

yep, that boy is done. It’s cool cause I have his spunkness in the freezer.. so, will not be topping any of them so the idea of getting cuts like that isn’t possible.
I’m certainly not going to cut the main flowering top off to try and root it.?

Little amnesia haze treat to sooty my back and reward my progress thus far.

the fan was set up higher to give more air circulation and they like it. Still running it pointed at the vent hole. I can feel moisture when I roll up the vent cover but no issues thus far. I will add a fan inside as they bulk up in flower.?

They have adapted to the brighter blight well imho. They drink a bit more Of course but have not noticed any negatives showing health/growth  wise.  Ki

2 blue pots were raised and baby gurl too. I lady pot with no red pot was rectified. Those roots like going to the moisture held in the res pot.

fan was moved inside the tent and put in low. Didn’t like it on high pointing  into the corner of the tent. So, no light leak trying to close that vent before sunlight comes knocking.

my late order is on the way but had another snafu. Dude told me it was all ready except the root riot cubes. So he added the 100 cube bag at no added cost because of how they dealt with it properly. Low and behold I get an email saying they are waiting on a couple saucers hmm. So, will ship all they have and send the saucers afterward priority.

I’ll believe it when it arrives. Next run will be coco coir. Been sitting like 4 yrs. I forgot I got 2.5 gal containers of CNS -17 so I have enough to do at least 2 more runs imho.

I was going to pickup Alaska bloom to be consistent but on hand is paid for already. Beside I have a feeling they will like the CNS -17 in flower more.

So, rooters, ph test kit, 4 saucers, and 2 pairs of duct clamps came yesterday. they owe me two saucers still. they came sunday today

so i left the cuts out over night in water after being in the fridge covered all this time. about to deal with them now before going to sleep. i'll check my water ph later today. never used ph up/down. i used lemon juice to adjust and the shit worked. yet, i know it's not as ideal thus i'm raising my game.

i wish i had vegged them better under more light so cuts would be better but too late now. i saw two lower cuts i could take off one and i know i can take another two of another. the rub is i never take cuts like the ones available now (in flower) nor the type of cuts i would naturally make. since it is what it is i'll just proceed and make it happen and wait for results. washed out humid dome, insert and tray.  i've never used the insert before cause i have a groclone but had it at the ready. not going to set that up for just a few cuts thus the rooters.

cuts are prepped and ready to be finished now. i soaked the riots in diluted greenlight rooting stuff so they are good to go now. i'll take the big league grape cuts later , 2 ea. from 2 different girls

so, no.1 took 3 tiny cuts & no.6 took 2 small cuts big league grape clone attempt.

the other 5 are FPB males to choose the best to keep. Not essential but wtf.

was going to pollinate a couple BLG lower branches but changed my mind as that isn't tester appropiate. I’m just going to finish them as best as possible.

I’ve got maybe 1/2 gallon of Alaska gro to give them then CNS-17 bloom the rest of the way. I do have a sample bottle of sweet  by botanicare I will use to finish them with. Based on those results I’ll decide whether to use something similar or not. Molasses is far cheaper Ijs.

height = no.1 = 22.5" , no. 2 = 19", no. 3 = 20.5", no. 4 baby gurl 14", no. 5 =18.5", no.6 = 20" avg. height = 19.08"

About to spray the clones lightly and rest.

so, i felt it was to hot inside the tent. not to hot for them to still grow but too hot to grow better imho. so i turned the exhaust fan on low. ony has high and low/ and felt it get cooler. checked the next day and significant cooling. the fan isn't attached to the filter yet and based on smell it might never be. the fan noise if the door is closed isn't too bad. i imagine if i used the insulated ducting it would reduce noise some as well as attaching it to the filter. for now though the fan is making them happy so i'm happy. clones are under 9w led in the bathroom 24hrs all look well.

they got their last dose of any ALASKA . CNS-17 Bloom by Botanicare will step in the rest of the way. i will use the sweet additive on them all since i have it on hand. HAPPY BELATED 420 TO EVERYONE . BEING IN THE MIDST OF TESTING THESE HAS MADE A boring busted 420 QUITE APPRECIATED STILL. time to hot this amnesia haze. thanks so much Kakalak

Ok, so multiple pics and update on the Big League Grape.
I’m going to cut and paste post in from source of the beans. No way I can recall what I said nor want to type it all again.

May 1, Up first two pics  is baby gurl No. 4 = 16” tall increase by only 2” but she’s pretty and daddy loves her. She was fed 1st and all are now getting CNS -17. I’m dosing based on the  (1tbl 1tsp) per gallon approx 20 ml
next is No. 3 = 22" ,  No. 5 = 19.25" . i can't even remember the lost text that went with the pics originally. one picture shows roots that definitely indicate these plants would kill in a hydro set up. i have to do a little operation.
i noticed salt buildup at the bottom of one pot. don't know why. going to take it out and check roots and transplant to a new pot. grabbed two pots put one inside the other. plant will go in with layer of grostones at the bottom. this type is actually made for mixing with a medium but this will do and won't hurt.

So, now we have an experiment with No. 6. is 21.25”. I placed it in another pot that was bigger than it’s former but not by much.
I show how much room around the rootball to give folks an idea.
so, will it grow roots out the side because they are not inhibited by anything ? I’ll find out !

next 6 pics shows how they are elevated to make a fairly even canopy except No. 6

Note : they weren’t getting enough water at times and were still dry as proven by the rootball of no. 6. So, fed them well until runoff and no dry pockets after a second examination of them all.

Looks like there's going to be a significant increase in yield compared to past grows.

i sure hope u are right, cause i'm going to try to do another run right away for bud.  i turned the lights up full force today and will watch for bleaching. at the canopy height they are at i doubt it but i will look daily to check. just hoping the BLG clones take , not concerned about the FPB cuts as i don't really need them. but a fresh male around to pollinate a couple ladies isn't something i will take for granted. just looking for good puff on the chucks. no plan to work any seeds from the fem mom's. i'll make them available to comrades for free if they are worthy.

I like these workshop threads, where the protagonist is trying new things. Showing mistakes or reporting concerns is the chance for the reader to learn with the writer.

On with the show & good luck.

Ok so last pics I went to sleep on. Let’s see if they all load ha!  All in

canopy is approx 30/31” all except no. 6 = 27” away from the light. Full power until it’s time to turn it down late flower.

A few closeups as pistils just initiate a change in color/maturity

i grouped photos per plant. tent pic keeps pics in order !

general thought on this grow so far :
*i didn't get the stretch i was looking for and i will call it user error
*the fan on low, unattached to anything is sucking the tent walls in
*easy to keep clean and with only 6 plants plenty of room to maneuver
*stem rubs etc. are quite unique, i frankly can't put a handle on the odor aside from nice. the other night took two leaves off and they fooled me into thinking i was smelling GSC but i was wrong cause the jar was tight and no odor from it.
* not picky about nutes from my short experience, no leaf anomalies anymore, plant is strong though cause a few tucked leaves said fuk that i'm going back to the light lol.
* drank more than i thought and i'll make sure they don't go thirsty anymore and ignore the weight  of the pots to a certain extent
* easy to care for only strange thing was the long petioles which i attribute to low light conditions = my fault but a master gardener would have to chimes in to confirm.
* clones taken = total of 5 from only 2 plants . 3 tiny ones and 2 small ones. i haven't seen roots yet in those or the clones of FPB that were taken in veg as normal. 1st time using root riot cubes but i think i will like them. all cuts of BLG ARE LOOKING HEALTHY still.

thx. KAKALAK for this opportunity to grow your BIG LEAGUE GRAPE  I REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

I have read somewhere, there are two reasons for red petioles. One, that is known by most homegrowers and a theme in every grow book: dark red elongated petioles due to bad light in combination with a shortage of nutrients. The other is enviromental. Only a part of the petiole turns red, sometimes in form of stripes. When the temperature differences between day and night are high, the up- or downsight turns red/burgundy, the rest stays green. It´s neglectable, the first reason isn´t at all.

the petioles were elongated  but green as normal and yes low light mos def as I mentioned above. THX. DUDE

speaking of nutes i'll be increasing strength after i look at my records for how long in flower. then adjust per directions on the bottle. it's in this thread above.

it's about time i check my approx water ph after mixing nutes. for the coco coir grow to come.

Note : week 3 based on april 12, w/pistils  showing on all 6 BLG or add 6 days April 6, so 3/4 weeks in flower now. just by recall i',m real close to where i should be nute wise but will check tomorrow to be sure when i make a fresh batch. if i don't need it,  it goes in the fridge for storage.

I get a lot more red petioles with LEDs, it seems, than with HID. When part of a petiole is shaded, it doesn't turn red.

interesting observation. my girls weren't shaded either so imho lower light was the genetic expression the plant chose based on environment = semi educated quess. idk for certain. well time to make some ferts and see who's hungry and pay attention to no. 6

Fans were blocking and tucking wasn’t practical because of location. Done a couple days ago and fan leaves are being room temp dried before puff test.
ph after nutes approx 6  = good enough to run coco without adding ph up or down which I have but it’s nice to do less !

the water:fed schedule is looking at every other day once well watered.
theor is a sweet type Dank smell coming from the tent now. Not offensive or too loud so no filter will be used unless needed.
