Damn, you got space invaders too? Damn, what a hassle, and I know, since I'm in the same damned boat!! OK whine over, sorry SPW.

In the asparagus bed yesterday, I was yanking wee random shoots from the bed surface, as asparagus hates any competition  in the root zone. I snapped this pic, as I've been questioned on a different forum concerning my use of coco husks, and root development. The person, stated that husks cause roots to grow around the stuff, like perlite chunks, and it's too thick to be good for roots. I think the pic will rest any arguments about that.

The roots are tiny and growing through the chunk like gang busters. Those chunks have already grown out a few weed crops, and now the second year in the outdoor beds.

Well, the chop all happened monday. semi trimmed big fans and ratty leaves then hung the whole plant.

BUD DENSITY AND SIZE based on plant height = CHECK ; plant structure and strength to hold it's buds was very very good. only used 1 stake for no.1 but not really needed.

stretch was minimal. not the double stretch expected but partly based on me being new to them and leds  imho. they weren't vegged under proper light so that made a difference as well imho.

ODOR = ONLY IF U RUB AGAINST THEM = various citrus expressions with some funk  from stem rub. smell when going strong was that of fermented fruit funk. no filter used so it's still new and ready when stinky stuff is grown .

So, i'm not sure if i can replicate the post pictures  here like in BLG @SNB's. i made a post for each of the six to conclude this run. idea was to only show pics from that plant instead of being confused. enough talk let me try to make it happen. ha

Last of No. 1 this would be a keeper pheno if the smoke is good. It is cloned but having some issues with the small one = says she’s lacking proper nutes. Yet, everyone got the same shit.  Could this be because I had tap water in the bottom of the cup once = chlorine reaction ? Idk

the larger ones lower leaves show weird signs as well. Smdh but above is all good,

Switched to CNS-17 yesterday

Tired as fuk just derooted 6 pots. The number 6 experiment was a fail imho.         She needed more food under those conditions. Is it worth trying again ? Nope

inspection tomorrow so organization is ongoing.  Tuna Samich to give me some energy = haven’t eaten today yet.

I’ll be back to try to figure out posting the rest of the BLG cause already got confused.

1st inspection done. Nothing like hiding in plain view. Next house inspection juky 9th

plant issues and I suspected mites but doesn’t make since.
also nute issues like not enough nitrogen. Which truly doesn’t make since since they were on 5-20-10  greenlight. Now, on CNS—17 bloom. I’m confused as fuck this time .

They don't smell it? That's a bitch you get inspected.

No smell from the plants in veg until you open the box. The cut plants don’t smell unless you fuck with them. Like when I had to take them out of the big dry nix to hang them back up. I had to lay them on each other. Close the box and put it on top of a box and a box on top of them. They all look empty ha. Plus a lady doesn’t want to spend much time in the basement.

day 5 I’d hang at day seven I’ll check to see if I need air circulation or not to get them dry by July 3rd at 12 days, man’s brown bagged fir 5 days  no more drying or hanging upstairs . One humidity battle is enough. With buds that would have been a couple notches better. Grr.

yet, the leaves if the clones have me wondering why. The two mails not in coco are totally normal and unaffected. I added some epsom salt to their last feeding.

I also make sure the runoff doesn’t make reservoirs in the cups mow. I let it drain off with only a slight bit of moisture at the bottom of the cups that can drain out the rest of the way.

I have to get this part of the coco grow correct if I expect to grow healthy clones and flower in coco !

So, because it was xtra butter taking up space went for infused instead of everclear. The rub is the EC feco would be stronger and easy to dose.

fucked up and used all the clarified butter instead of saving some to cook with thus making the butter more potent.

so put the clarified butter in a crock pot added decarbed stuff and then added 2 cups water. Covered and put on low to start. If that seems to much it can be put in warm which I never paid much attention to until now.

took 75 minutes  to hand prep the flower

May I suggest that you Do Not add water while trying to infuse, you cut the fat content of your butter. If you want to keep it from burning, put it in a mason jar in a water bath. If you do it to clean it, infuse it first, after straining, then add water. This will help with potency.

Thx sistah,

well, too late to try what I said on this batch. I’m going to brb cause gotta go make sure the burger isn’t ruined

ok so, I clarified the butter 1st and only time I did so. As picture will show.           I didn’t mean to use all of it and had planned to hold some back for regular cooking. That didn’t happen and only recalled the idea after I had done it. I wasn’t about to try to separate T that point so I continued

Well, my mind has been foggier than usual and I added all the decarbed stuff to the crock pot. Then added 2cuos of water. I set it on low and let it go almost 4hrs. Based on the boiling effect I saw when it came back to turn it off: I will turn the temp down to warm at various points in the cook time in the future.

So, I’m a bit confused about ur instructions.? Why add water after infusing ? What would that do exactly  ?

what would be your crockpot suggestion to get it  done ? Also do you think 4 hrs is too long and why ?

Monday june 28, 2021 made a organic blk tea : taste is very good and time started @ 2:13 pm to test effects

Some folks like to "clean" the butter, why they use water, you don't need to do that, I was not sure why you added water. They will put it in the freezer, that water that comes out is really gross, the ghee or butter will solidify and they dump the water.

I have no clue how long we should actually do this to get the most out of our products. I do it for 24 hours, sometimes 48. I use a water bath with temp control, put the ghee and herb in a mason jar. I don't boil it though. Yours looks pretty good to me.

With you making ghee, much healthier for us and has a higher fat content, and if you don't add water, your finished product should be quite potent. If you make ghee, and do not add water, it has a really long shelf life without going rancid.

Do you add water to keep it from burning? I assumed either that or to clean it.

Yeah, I added water for prevent defense/safety anti burn.
Before I used captains skunks basics method = no water.

upon checking various methods to make I saw that if u decarbed 1st 4 hrs if you didn’t decarb at all 8 hrs was needed. There were other ways but I chose that this time.

I never heard of folks doing water to clean it. But the way you’re saying it seems like semantics only. Cause I never hear the water folks speak about burning it = it must be to remove the impurities = cleaning it as you refer to it.

so, now I’m thinking based on ur post to clarify the butter is helpful.
Don’t allow it to boil = I will try the warm setting if it starts to boil and note how much time it takes to get to that point for future reference.

how/why does adding water affect potency ? That’s what I don’t understand.

well had an unexpected snafu appear , actually saw a small hint but blew it off after looking close up by phone.

BUD ROT took most of the top cola, i have the very top of it in a jar after oven warm setting. i guess wet wet total lost 7-8 grams, hop i don't find any more. big fan is on high and so is the small one. it's not too much but suitable without ruining the buds by going to fast.

testers are potent as fuck from the not so tasty quick dry to the tastier slower tst oven on warm setting. most def has the type of stone i like and helps to sleep easy too. mind u without a complete dry and zero cure. i'm thinking a couple of these phenos might make it inyo my best puff of all time list. time will tell but the potential is their. hell, not even dialed in with this 1st run of the BIG LEAGUE GRAPE.

are they worth the loot to get them. i'd would say yes based on my grow and that of the other testers of BLG.

Had budrot on a couple over here at one time, nasty shit. You can't trust the buds, some look OK till you crack em open. I bought some expensive stuff for outdoors that is supposed to prevent that. I would be so pissed to grow outdoors and end up with a bunch of budrot, seems to be an issue here in outdoor gardens.

You have to regularly tug on those fan leaves sticking out of the buds (oh yeah, AND keep humidity under control! Almost forgot.) to see where the rot is.

My first encounter with bud rot took away about 17 grams of bud from a single Shackzilla cola. I've avoided growing large colas, ever since.

aloha folks,
what have i been up too lately. i transplanted all clones/plants into soil/bio-bizz lite. some got one or the other.  the roots weren't much to speak of so they didn't like how i had the coco coir and grow stones set up and the roots were compacted in the coco quite a bit . so that's a bog reason for them not to get enough aeration as expected. at least that is one reason for less than ideal growth. weird part is the growth above ground for such a under performing roots system. hopefully a couple more weeks will see a change in leave and branch growth.

the no. 1 clone that came from the purple cup is still struggling but we'll see how she goes. cause it's either sink or swim at this point. I EXPECT THE 2 NO. 6 CLONES TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE CUTS IN 2/3 weeks and make it so their sprawling nature will be contained. as you see one no. 6 cone was tied down = 3 main branches = semi ben/manifold thang lol. i wanted to do it sooner but couldn't risk it then so at least one is going to take the dive into new territory for me.

i made an adjustment on the hanging plants in the basement to get the best air flow pointing toward the ceiling semi direct, it's about 70-75 and u can feel the cool air as u get closer to the area.

So, after plants are dry the prospect mothers will get led light so they can veg sufficient clones to make another run. i'll use the groclone to root multiples and skip rapid rooters/soil cups. i still have to check into one more inspection. if that's not going to happen then all systems go and i'll run the tent  up STAIRS AND THE 600 hps vert setup  down stairs. so i can get some smokables. running 6 plants in vert this go round and i know i can  put then closer to the light this time . 41AE7A99-0882-418B-85A6-BA4DA451B4C5.jpeg
