Potassium def maybe , hit them with some bloom : )

or maybe there was a drastic change in humidity and them lower leafs couldn’t handle the change as there makeup was made at the higher humidity level and the change to outside environment the plant decided to ditch them as they weren’t performing up to standard

but im thinking hit with bloom for a feed or two then back to grow : )

first thanks for trying to help i appreciate it. no outside environment just window where they have gone plenty of times. humidity pretty stable though in that room. potassium/nute deficiency hmmm. I have added no ferts only water as they were seedlings and the soil mix was already charged. espoma organic potting mix is what i use. i used it with the clones and didn't have t feed them. noted that i did transfer them to larger pots approx 1 gal +/- and of course added more soil. I'll give them a shot of some root nutes i'll check the name.

got an inspection notice which means 2 more will follow close most likely., maybe this was an omen that will make it easier for me to grow after the inspection barrage.

looking at the photos in this link https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688   seems to show phosphorus deficiency more so than potassium.  both that and potassium deficiency have the same basic nute fix i read just now. frankly a nute deficiency is welcomed cause it means it not broad mites again.

so gave them a small dose of green light root stimulator and starter solution. it's so old i don't think they make it anymore. it's 5-20-10 with IBA in it as well. in the past i have used it with great success. it's a shame it's kaput now. next to an open window with light broken by blinds. i'll see how they look next couple days. this is only to see if the fix works. i won't try to rescue them unless they make some serious progress in trhe next 10 days or so. if they do i'll just pot them up.

will be looking for my heat mat for new sprouts if they pop. if none do i'll go back to fresher seed stock to get rolling. i;'m getting my ass kicked but i'm a bulldog so the fight/war ain't over

small update. They were fed twice in a row and today just plain water.

i looked and saw new leaf growth from the stems where I took the bad lives off.  I didn’t expect to see that but was pleased !

Some leaf oddities though but we’ll see how things go. I always think we should give a plant a chance since it doesn’t take much to deal with it/then . Imho

1st 8 pics were taken two days ago maybe 3 tops. The others were taken today

So, just a couple pics to show the difference in growth since last time.

Put a shop light above them and 2 of the 3 led’s off For side lighting. The space is just quietly enough to not be close to optimum but considering the circumstances it will have to do. All were just fed.

Next step is to test the 250 my and put them under that do they can take off and put them in pots so the roots have more room.

When another inspection in a couple months I might be able to take one top each and put them on 12/12 to determine sex. Then prime as needed to keep them small until the coast is clear.

Then clone females and pop more seeds the old school way. It’s quite cool that old green light root stimulator worked and did no harm and a no cost.

after a couple of days i see no further degradation of leaves. all they got was ambient window light and now are under the 9w leds but further away by a good bit.

located the 250w mh ballast and bulb to test it. found a heat mat as well yay, some other bulbs both hid and cfl's. will test cfl's just 23 w's 1 should be new and one barely used if i recall. also have a 42 watt cfl. can't i plug those into a standard socket like the ones with the clamps and small metal reflector attached ? one bulb was really dark around base so tossed it. turned a good looking one on but nothing happened. i'll try again and use google in the mean time.

so i'm trying to work out all the little details to make a run. inspection in like a week then a followup to it and then owner inspection. i'll use cat litter tubs to hide plants if need be based on when the new ones germ, i'll put more in water 3 days before inspection. if any pop they'll go into ziplock between coffee filters to sprout longer old school style like i used to do. i saw a few well known pollen chuckers still do it that way as well. can't recall but they are respected. i want to bomb the attic just in case i have to stash something up their. broad mites might have come from that area. so, i'll spray DE up their as well if i can find the sprayer hose to my pump sprayer.

added 1 cfl today instead of putting the cfl back in the dish. washed a couple pots and need to do a couple more to keep the size pots small enough to share a bucket to hide them on the fly if need be. last root check was good so they should be ready to transplant. will let them dry out and transplant when they need to be watered again. cause the mix will keep them good for awhile after the transplant.

i am adding another cultivar to the vault soon. just stumbled across it and it's not going t be offered on dudes site. it's not something i was targeting at all but you know how that shit often gets ignored. Mac f2 x dominion skunk male . i don't really care about the dominion skunk much but would like to see some mac phenos to see if what i get is worthy to keep/make seeds from. This addiction is serious smdh

looked at HGL's QUANTUM BOARDS 100 WATT led $150 shipped and no heat sink needed.

So, as scheduled I transplanted the 3 little pigs today. I was supposed to do it before falling asleep on that rso a nice sistah made. But damned if that didn’t work and I jumped up and the light was off too smdh! Duhhh

so, the white pot had the most exposed stem but also good growth so it hit the biggest pot.

Small one should be crunch berries. Not too sure what the other is could be warriors tonic or crunch berries.

So, from the brink of death these 3 little pigs survive !

Ok, so keeping on schedule the 250mh has been tested and works   Yippy.  So, should have so really nice additional growth in veg for this gro adventure.  Stay tuned

i did forget hat i found my wand for my sprayer. had no glue i put in in the box with the mh ballast . was so happy to see it now don't have to spend for a new one.  i'll get an extra sprayer one day just for water only and the other for chemicals. might get a smaller mister for bug spray only like the homemade pepper stuff as well as neem etc. nothing nasty.

Ok. So I was contemplating second on 18/6 like usual or 14/10 but decided with straight 12/12 because I don’t need them to get extra light to grow bigger.

There recovery is swell so we’ll see the sex in 2weeks approx.

i plan to top them and clone those tops for back up moms hopefully. Tops have always been my best moms so will not change that habit. Yes, I’ve made moms from other cuts usually the middle of the plant...

I’m very pleased to have them change from palm trees about to die to where the 3 little pigs are now.

Well a quick update on the 3 little pigs. After only a couple of days of 12/12 and negligible moonlight two of the 3 pigs are girls.

both are the larger ones that should be the same strain.  The shorter more distinct pig will need more time and  will know for sure in approximately another week if the girls are legit females and what the last one’s sex is.

So either I have two warriors tonic and one crunch berries or vice versa. Yet, the two taller ones most definitely look like the same strain. So I will be testing for cbd traits or just end up with some decent herbage albeit on the slow roll lol.

So, after i’m Really sure they’ll get topped and rooted if the last one is a male as soon as the cut off him is established he’ll get the ax.

The multiple pictures/closeups of the I plant is the shorter different one undeclared. I’n Rooting for a girl though obviously .

update, the 3 little pigs turned out to be 3 little Gilts = female pigs that haven't had babies yet. :verrygood

so, lights went back on 24 hrs, i'll let them recover and set up the 250 mh top all 3 and see how small i can keep them. turn the 3 tops into moms and top them for new moms again for prevent defense and also just in case i get a couple males. no real effort aside from some seeds just because. the progeny will tell me about the male and females dominance too. i'll have to keep notes and pictures of structure.

this is a priority on buds not seeds make no mistake. i learned my lesson from planning too far ahead. will pop more beans as another window of opportunity opens. so, just past main inspection no sweat. 2 more inspections to go smdh. if i can get a 5 mth period i can get two harvests in approx 70 day flower period. both current strains go approx. 9 weeks. if they seem ready then i'll let them go 70 days.

GWhat’s going on with these 3 pigs?well, they aren’t so little anymore that’s for sure.

Just topped two of the same strains and put additional cuts in a glass of water. Maybe 3 nice size ones and a couple smaller ones too.

Mad you will see in the pictures I take the tops and I leave a good amount of leaf even though I cut them off some.  Never had an issue so I just repeated the usual.

I used rooting powder instead of gel. Used my fingers to cover to multiple cut nodes . I make sure at least 2 will be below ground and I scrape the stem a bit with a razor, make the last cut at bottom. Coat and stick.

used same potting mix and 16/20 oz cups. Watered in with no xtra because the mix has a slight mute charge. Should be rooted in 2weeks or less. I usually don’t dome cuts I make with tops house temps approx 75/80 max. Last time I made cuts like this the one I put in a bag for extra humidity rotted fine but the one I left alone routed much better.  So, that reenforced freedom clone style.

No. 1 pig was 28” tall measured from the stem at the bottom and 331/2” including the pot

no. 2 pig was 30” tall w/pot 35”

i show before and after pictures of the topped pigs. Still need to do the last pig that’s another strain.

You have to check my dribble to figure out the pictures that match.?sorry for any confusion at this stage but things will get better. Which I could flower out the moms but o don’t know how much they will stretch and all are bigger than i’d Like them to be usually.  No buggy cause come time for the clone run;  they’ll be flowered at approx 12-14” tall I reckon.

The rest of the pictures ta dah

so, took shots of the initial cutting so y’all can see the size etc. then the clone ready after stick.

First leaves are almost dry on top of the shop light. The trimmed leaves from doing this will get the same treatment. Most will be used in a smoothie and a few will be puffed to get an idea . I’ve rolled leaf joints in the past and folks thought it was real bud yup. I was just giving them out for fun.

happy cloning ....:tu

thx here comes the last little pig and it's clone . took only one branch midway and put that in water with the rest. put a twist tie on for ID.

So, ca and do adjust how/where I take the cut based on how big I want it as well as just because in the case with these the plants were growing into the shop light. I could raise ur but made no sense. They aren’t getting much light actually they have just been under it mainly 24 era except for sexing.  Back on 24 hrs now.

I’ll see if I can get a dude to let me flower the big girls if he has enough space.  Won’t know til I ask. I let him have these genetics if he wants them via clone only.  No seeds will go to my local area for exclusive stuff. I’ll tell him where to buy gear though to help him find a commercial selection.  And fill in all the growing gaps he has and will have.

I figure if I get him caught up we can partner up in the future occasionally based on need.

A used salad container is used to soak clones in. Water comes out the fridge and is still cool by the time the last clones get stuck. I don’t soak the clones that go in water to be routed.

I put a plastic bag over the clones on the cup of water with air holes via a fork. Ambient light only until rooted.  That should give me at least 2 clones from each pig. One primary and 1 back up  = 6 total I can keep smaller after whipping out the 250 mh this time.

A couplw pictures show some trichs  on the stems. Too hard to show on the leaves. That’s with them still on 24 hrs oops I lied u can see some leaf trichs .

both strains have good structure. Lower light intensity made intermodal length longer than normal which is to be expected.

when i chose the tittle of marathon i did so because of Nipsey Hussle and the idea that what ever i'm going to do with my life i need to get rolling. . I HAD NO IDEA IT WAS ACTUALLY GOING TO TURN INTO A MARATHON STYLE GROW LOL.  flip side is i learned something, i'm not pressed and can ease into things again and it's not overwhelming. so, all things considered it's so far so good. yes. weird hors i'm keeping about to go to sleep. dog is sleep behind me cause she didn't want to stay upstairs in the bed knowing i was still down stairs. smdh ii love my sweetie pie.

ok folks the first snafu is the clone that was droopy as fuck, i cut some off put on a heat mat and trashed not long ago. the heat mat wasn't a good idea and will never be used again. i never have used a heat mat under clone cups so i saved the other main two. one was unbothered and the other i cut some leaves off. to not stress it as much. that's one advantage of having leafy cuts. from what i could tell soil was too compacted so it couldn't get enough air. i did them all the same but i will be more careful. took a nice cut from the cup of water and recut bottom and a little clean up + root powder and back in the same cup but loosed the soil. couple of straws full of water literally drinking straws worth lol. that's an advantage of taking extra cuts and sticking them in water. i don't need to fuck with the mother again and takes 1 min to clean and stick.  also added a tiny cut from the water and stuck it in the same cut. i'll watch it and if it starts to die it'll be pulled. if not i'll keep it as yet another backup that i don't need but won't hurt.

frankly i was like if i need to i can always fire up the trust groclone and make cuts just not something i can break down all of a sudden.  which makes me think of a method to save such cuts by storing them and not fucking up the roots tombad. i'm thing plastic egg containers that my organic eggs often come in. i'll save the one i have in the fridge. cut holes out to let the roots slip through and just lay the frame over a plastic container. hell i actually might have my bubble cloner still available. if not no biggy as i have a small pump, line, and a couple stones bubble stones at least one flat and one small round. back ups can't be snubbed at imho. if you're not already prepared your usually screwed.
