saxo 12,616 Report post Posted October 3, 2019 Product Description 15 Seeds pr pack. A 100% Pure Landrace Sativa Strain from deepest Africa. This is the original Nigerian offered in Amsterdam Coffee shops in the 80″s. Africa always produces amazing pure-bred strains & this one is no exception. It has a very hash like taste and good high. Nigerian is a fairly fast sativa suitable for outdoors in Northern Hemisphere with good chunky bud production. Indoors plants are short statured with plenty of bud mass per plant.Cured buds have a lemon tea aroma. Flowering time is from 11-15 weeks, with a few phenotypes going up to 20 weeks. ........maybe that helps a bit

There is a discrepancy between seedheaven description and Nordic genetics description as well. Flower times etc. I have heard on icmag from Dave coulier that it is nothing but hermies. I can’t believe and won’t that LaLa would release something that poor. Thanks again

Sacred Plant Warrior 2,468 Report post Posted October 24, 2019 ok, THESE WERE MADE BY Nigerian By Guest azoobidies, January 4, 2012 THERE IS A SHORT 4 PAGE THREAD ABOUT IT WITH DECENT PICTURES POSTED OF THE PARENTS FROM WHAT I GATHER. I CAN'T LINK U CAUSE U HAVE TO BE A MEMBER. However, some experienced cannabis farmers tested her indoors and got great result. They confirm a good performance of this variety in Northern Hemisphere where a harvest starts at the end of September. No particular difficulties have been noticed during the vegetative period, she show great performance under usual 12/12 light cycle. It' natural for sativas to have a longer period to grow and mature. However, this legendary marijuana takes only 8 weeks before showing the first flowers with well developed tops. There are loads of bud sites along the main cola that actually makes her yield as great as 350 gr. per m2. Buds seem to be less dense but who minds? THC content is still high - 20%. Cured buds have a lemon tea aroma. Smoking Nigerian is like going back to good old days because of her aromatic hash smell and taste. Because of its higher content over CBD, Nigerian's high is very powerful cerebral, taking you to the land of dreams and illusions. Make sure you have a day off to fully enjoy the pleasure from this dark African lady. 2

Zanzibar 491 Report post Posted November 10, 2019 @Griot I have a couple going now, from Derg Corra. I started with 3 females, but one hermed-out, but it was because I had her outside and there was a light on all the time, which I didn't catch till later. Total bummer. I blame that light, but letting you know just the same. She was a shaggy beast, and I was sad to let her go before she was done: The other two are going strong. They're tall, close to 2 meters. The buds are wispy, with a lemmony fuel aroma: 1st one and the 2nd They're all beautiful plants. Long-flowering for sure as these have a ways to go, tho not too much, maybe a month or less. Derg Corra did a great job by providing these. If you're looking for a really nice African Sativa, these Nigerians are really awesome. I can't wait to smoke them 8

Thanks again I just saw this concern about herms... as I mentioned above, I think the issue I had was due to a light being on outside near the plant... It's also a landrace sativa, so herming is going to occur to some degree, especially if stressed. That said, my other two plants are not showing any balls. I will post again when I get closer to harvest and let you know if there were any issues. Best, Z

Zanzibar 491 Report post Posted January 8, 2020 Hi @Sacred Plant Warrior the one didn't snap, it split - on the one in the orange bucket when it rained. i tied it back together. Tho the one in the white pot is just propped up, not broken at all. these things are still going strong, btw - I think we've closed out 4 months of flower now: 6

Zanzibar 491 Report post Posted January 22, 2020 Ok these gals got the chop today. Basically flowered outdoor for 18 weeks. There were two types, one green (to the left) and one purple (on the right). They look pretty battered from the wind and rain - some branches broke off. They both have a bright citrus aroma. I''m very much looking forward to the smoke :D 7
Dogtowns 59 Report post Posted March 11, 2020 Hi @Zanzibar your Nigerian's are gorgeous! Did you already had a test smoke by now? We're this the last ones for the last season? Keep us updated, man you did a great job on these! Thanks for sharing Dogtown
Zanzibar 491 Report post Posted March 14, 2020 For sure @Dogtowns They've been curing for a long time now. The high is very mellow, and very smooth smoke. Mellow like not crazy potent, but gets a nice buzz going. I like it a lot. There's a nice lemony scent to it. There's still a little chloroform to it as well, which I"m wanting to dissipate but it seems to be taking it's time. I think I prefer the more purple one because it smokes smoother. I'm thinking the greener one will mellow some more with age. The buds are nice and airy. It's very nice to have around and the experience of growing them gives me a lot of appreciation for the ganja. I totally recommend that everyone grow some IBLs, especially the long-flowering kind. You will never find this smoke on the streets or in a dispensary, and it's not just for novelty either,,, It's important to expand what you know. Peace and happy growing :D 5
