Zanzibar 490 Report post Posted October 9, 2019 I just looked and saw that I've had a membership here for 10 years! Ten years and a day, to be exact. So to celebrate I'm going to start a thread! And since this is the e$ko room I thought I'd do a thread on Banana Taffy, but I don't have any Banana Taffy, I don't have any Cakes either, and I'm not currently running any fake repros from Humboldt Seed Organization... So I"ll do a thread on some Amnesia Haze x Choco Rain F2's I'm testing out: a couple weeks old A week later: and then I up-potted them: and this is them a little over a week ago: ... They all show 11 leaflet leaves, which is very cool. they've stretched and I've found two males, which I'll cull and turn into juice with some carrots - a lovely drink if you don't know. I'm not sure if I'll top the others,,, they've stretched quite a bit so I still have to decide. I"ll put them back in the room to flower in a few days.... I'll be sure to post their progress. Ten years seems like such a long time, and yet I"m still figuring things out as I go along. I learned how to grow on this forum. I started with a bubble-bucket system, and then switched to soil and organic after watching people on here. Peace and good vibes to all you growers! Papalag 5,393 Report post Posted October 9, 2019 Awesome cross my friend and they look very healthy
Zanzibar 490 Report post Posted October 9, 2019 Thank you, Papalag. They do indeed look very healthy, and the stretch is somewhat astounding. I"m going to ask the question here: should I top these girls? I'm pretty sure at this point I'm going to up-pot them to larger pots (which I was not going to do but their size is demanding it). But their growth is so extremely vigorous that now I have this elongated central stem.... So the question I pose: Should I top them down to even out the growth? Any and all input is very helpful. Thank you.

Zanzibar 490 Report post Posted October 22, 2019 Just want to drop in for an update. I have 1 female from the bunch, the rest males. I think this ratio may have had to do with vegging under 3500k LEDs, or you know, just the way it goes sometimes. Anyway, this one girl is wayyy stretchy. Difficult to grow in my room without some LST. I took a clone, and will probably pop some more seeds to see if I can control them better. I'll still update with pics of her, and whatever else, too... Also, anyone ever make compost tea and add Mammoth P as part of the ingredients? I've been doing 32 hour brews - worm poop, compost, alfalfa, 2 teaspoons of blackstrap molasses, a dash of Liquid Karma, a little spit, and about 5ml of Mammoth P in a 5 gallon bucket. Curious about the Mammoth P as there's not a lot if info for using it in a activated teas. Any thoughts or experience? Oh, and is there anyone with some Chocolate Rain seeds? F2's or whatever, not crossed out tho, please. Will trade. Thank you. Best Z
Zanzibar 490 Report post Posted November 2, 2019 I've kicked that bitch out of my room. The stretch on her was too much and was overwhelming the height of my lights (for my other plants). I'll have to figure out what this is about, if I need to grow from clone, or what. I still have the parents (male and female AHxCR) and have a bunch of f2 seeds as well as am in the midst of a BX to the mother - so I have lots to play with. But for now I need to focus on what's going on in my room. I will continue to post on here any updates on the AHxCR f2s, but this is where it's at now. Also, she's not dead, just outside now, and I live in a pretty moderate climate, so we'll see what happens. Keep growing! Z
santero 9,398 Report post Posted November 2, 2019 ooh, i just saw this, mate ... freaky pheno, eh? i believe i would have cracked her neck a few times. the ladies usually make stronger buds over the bends after karate chops let's see how she does outside. gonna start some of the 'sm' x cr f2's to check on them soon. the smells on all mothers were crazy amazing, typical eskobar.
Zanzibar 490 Report post Posted November 6, 2019 Hey Santero, what's the SM in the cross you mention above? I recently remembered that I"ve grown a ChocoRain cross before.... Blu Chocolate from Fusion Seeds. They used the coveted Dabney Blu for a mother. It was a beautiful plant with outstanding blueberry aromas. I'd forgotten that it was a ChocoRain cross until I was reading the description the other day. Anyway... Here the AHxCR f2 outside.
santero 9,398 Report post Posted November 11, 2019 SM is the "cerise d'exo planck" clone only from france. esko used this for his holy princess (-> santa maria). oi, i remember the blue chocolate & have a pack stashed away still. (also the "death by chocolate". but that was just a fusion-tester, so i'd feel uncomfortable to release anything other then crosses with it), but i will make some DBC f3 for myself soon.
Zanzibar 490 Report post Posted November 11, 2019 Oh, ok, the Santa Maria. I have some crosses you've made with her,,, at least one = Strawberry Lemons. The "cerise d'exo planck" is produced through Somatic Breeding, which sounds totally Sci-Fi to me! I"m wildly curious about what it actually means. I have this in my notes: Quote The somatic crossing is a cross between two non-sexual cells. One starts by taking a few cells of each variety, taking a piece of leaf and performing an extraction of protoplasm. A crossing is then made by means of an electric shock which will then weld the cells. Here I have only selected cells that have fused their cytoplasm but not their nucleus, to harvest the chloroplasts and mitochondria of one variety with nuclear genome on the other. Chloroplast and mitochondria being responsible for colors, odors and partly resistance. Subsequently, I realize a micropropagation to regenerate a plant. ... totally nuts! @santero lets take a moment and talk about these Amnes x Choco Rain F2's. I just dropped 5 seeds, so that's a start! but the one I put outside is very stretchy, and I"m curious if its exhibiting traits from the Cocoa Kush. Do you have this cut, or have you grown Cocoa Kush? Basically I'm getting a long stretch plant with small golf-ball sized buds, and some pretty amazing aromas. If you have any info on CK, please, do tell
santero 9,398 Report post Posted November 11, 2019 yee, i grew some of esko's CK F2's ... it's from the choco thai esko selected for in CK for his CR. the lanky thai-phenos can grow quite stretchy. these genes are also responsible for the stretch in most blueberry-types. the budshape is from the CK too, kushtype golfballs. aromas in CR come from chocolope and cocoa kush mixed, but the rhaspberry from the chocolope does dominate the CR-line, imo. did you find some "rhaspberry haze"-types in the ah x cr (or f2's) ? that's what i would expect / hope for in this line.

Yes, the raspberry aroma is very strong on this already very aromatic plant. The bud structure is tight small buds full of shimmer, and lots of bud-sites. I'm very impressed. Thankfully, I took a clone of this one and will see how she does indoor. I also started some more seeds to see what happens indoor. This project is really exciting.
Zanzibar 490 Report post Posted December 8, 2019 here's some more from the same OD plant. Structurally a nice kush/sativa cross, and the aromas are raspberry and chocolate,,, and very very strong.

saxo 12,616 Report post Posted January 8, 2020 awesome colors !! beautyful and yummy looking!! wish i could grow outside in January too. these nice colors are temperatur-dependent?
Zanzibar 490 Report post Posted January 9, 2020 Yes, @saxo those colors are crazy. And the aromas are absolutely stunning. They're temp driven to a certain extent, tho how much I still have to find out. Our winters are so mild compared to most places, or at least a lot of places. I"m running some more indoor, including a cut from this one. We'll see Thanks for saying hi 2

Zanzibar 490 Report post Posted February 4, 2020 This one is sunning with some citrus while I up-potted her sisters. I'm going to run three (confirmed females) indoor this time. We've started calling the AHxCR Raspberry Haze, or Himbeer Haze, as the name is fitting.
webeblzr 2,206 Report post Posted February 13, 2020 Hey Zanzibar, Congratulations for your 10 year seniority badge here at Sannies!! I was very happy when I made mine, I do not have a clue as why I felt like that, but I did. I've seen the wildlife change plumes many times here, some come, some go, it's the way of message boards, since I my time in cyberia. As I got to thinking about it, you did very well in your stretch of 10. I'll show you in a bit. I was bean dreaming a few weeks ago, and read something about a San seed drop at SH. An E$KOB@R tribute, of some SM x Choco Rain F2, since I'm running a bunch of SH gear now, and my first 18 week flowering girls the SFV78 in the 6th week or so now, and the Killer Grapes/Killer Lemon Haze seem to be part of my DNA now, so if possible, the E$KOB@R drop just needs to be here also. I do the dance, and out of the magic mailbox, comes a puffy, and once I get to my lair, I greedily open the puffy, as I know it holds treasure, 3 items, grab my eyeballs, and man did I get a big smile on my face, upon realizing, YOU, YOU Zanzibar have come full circle...I've not, in my garden. So man I'm thrilled to run your beans with E$KOB@R's tribute from San!! Good on you man!!
Zanzibar 490 Report post Posted February 14, 2020 Nice picture from the future, and nice seed selection you got there, @webeblzr Those were the last of my Blue Dream x BBS seeds so treat them well. I"m looking forward to running Sans F2s as well, to get a comparison to the Amnes cross. Lots of Raspberry and cherry. Thanks for saying hi, as well.
