tacman7 428 Report post Posted July 29, 2020 My grow is off to a good start but I've seen this color thing on a few plants. Is that magnesium deficiency? What would I do for that? Epsom salt? Thanks
ZenShade 459 Report post Posted July 29, 2020 I had great results with freshwater Diatomaceous earth when I had deficiencies showing in the leafs, strengthened the entire structure of the plant. But if the plant havent shown great vigour beforehand, use less. Epsom is harder to dose I believe... /peAce
tacman7 428 Report post Posted July 30, 2020 So that can be a foliar spray? seen some that come with a duster. You put on the soil and water in or dust/spray leaves? Thanks
ZenShade 459 Report post Posted August 2, 2020 I put a thin layer on the dirt with a spoon just after watering, It will turn in to a crust as it dries and slowly seep into the medium the next time you water. peAce
tacman7 428 Report post Posted August 2, 2020 Cool, I'll be adding some on top of the beds. Friend has an electric sprayer, pretty cool. He added some kelp and CaMg and things and some Diatomaceous earth. They do that regularly, this might be all I need.
Sacred Plant Warrior 1,901 Report post Posted August 19, 2020 do yourself a favor and research the sick plants thread via google. i'm thinking i put a link here already though. y0ou want to get familar with how certain deficiencies look based on leaves, stems, and other factors noted for that particular issue. it matters because usually when someone ask what the problem is many folks want to help but the problem is most of the, are just guessing . all us growers experience with issues varies and thus you can ask the same question and show pictures and have at least 1/2 dozen different answers from experienced growers. obviously if you get that many they all can't be correct. you can't expect to always get the correct answers to your issues so it pays to learn and study. this way your ahead of the curve in a very important aspect of growing. solving sick plant issues. one thing for sure and two things for certain we will eventually run into sick plant issues. ha i saw the very first thread is the sick plant info. did you go there first to look for your issues ?
